Chapter 913 This Is A Test

Time flew quickly and before he knew it, it was already nearing dusk. Rocky had been staying in theroom by the lake, and as he was relaxing in the silence, he heard some noise from outside. When hewent out, he saw the steward had arrived with a group of workers, and they were pushing severalbig carts, which were filled with many things. There was a circular stove bigger than those stovesused to refine pills, and it was what Rocky had especially ordered. Besides those, there were alsobottles, containers, and other kinds of tools. The two carts in the last row were all wrapped in cloth,but the smell that was coming from it was overwhelming. The workers had scrunched up theirnoses, and their faces were distorted by their pained expressions as if they were trying very hard notto breathe in the foul air.

Thomas and the workers soon finished pushing several carts out of the building.

"Mr. Rookie, will we carry all these things in?" Thomas asked respectfully once he saw Rockystanding in front of the door.

Rocky nodded, gesturing into his place.

Thomas told the workers to remove the items carefully and motioned for them to put all of it insidehis room.

The workers were half-way done when a voice came from a distance. "What's the smell? It's sostinky!"

Since Rocky was standing near his door, he heard it clearly and turned his head. He saw a delicateand beautiful figure who was walking towards them with an arrogant look. Her little face waswrinkled with pride, and her tiny hands were constantly flapping in front of her nose as if she wastrying to drive the bad smell away.

"Here you are!" As soon as his eyes laid on her, a bright smile flashed across Rocky's face, and hesaid, "Thomas, you can leave the rest there, then you can go ahead and go home.”

"Aren't we supposed to move all of them in?" Thomas asked, puzzled.

"It's okay. I will handle it." Rocky flapped his hands in a dismissive gesture, and the workers couldsee that he was determined to send them away.

Thomas knew he had no right to question Rocky's decision, so he just led the workers away.

At the same time, the little girl walked to Rocky, pouted, pointed at him, and said, "You are soarrogant. How could you ask me to come to you in person! Who do you think you are? You don'tdeserve it."

The only one from the Cao Clan who would dare to speak to Rocky in this tone was Queenie. Shewas always fearless and unruly.

"I didn’t force you to come at knife-point though..." Rocky laughed and crossed his arms over hischest.

"Since I'm already here, will you agree to teach me the Beast Curing Skill? If you don't, I'll teach youa lesson you won't forget!" Queenie threatened, waving her delicate fist.

"It's very easy to learn my Beast Curing Skill. As long as you can pass my test, everything will befine," Rocky said promptly. It seemed like he had fully expected her to ask this today.

"Is that all?" Queenie thought that Rocky would deliberately make things difficult for her, but itturned out that she only needed to pass one measly test. Nothing was difficult for her, given hertalent and intelligence, so it was almost a sure deal in her mind.

"I will give you only one chance. If you mess up, don't come begging me to give you anotherchance!" said Rocky seriously.

"Tell me. How will you test me?" Queenie took a deep breath, as her face took on a graveexpression.

"Move all of the things from the carts into this room," Rocky said, pointing at the carts nearby.

"Is this the test?” When Queenie heard this, she was a little surprised because it sounded like he wasjust using her as a porter. This was not a proper test at all!

"That's right. If you can move all the things into the room, you will pass the test.” Rocky nodded."Didn't Thomas bring those workers here just now? Why didn't you ask them to do this instead ofme? Are you playing some kind of trick on me?" Queenie asked with suspicion. At that moment, shecould not believe that this test was so simple.

"As I said, you only have one chance,” reminded Rocky.

"Humph, fine! I'll do it. This is easy!” With a determined look on her face, she was about to summonher spirit-manipulated beast to help, but she stopped at the last second when she heard Rocky say,"No! You can't use your spirit-manipulated beast. You have to do this yourself!"

"You..." Hearing that, Queenie stopped at once and glared at Rocky as hard as she could, but it didnot seem to affect him. Although she was still hesitant to do such menial tasks, she had alreadymentally prepared herself before she came here. Moreover, her master also told her not to lose hertemper, and to try her best to let Rocky accept her. After all, she was not doing this for herself alone,but also the Cao Clan's future.

In the end, Queenie tried to vent her anger by stomping her feet, but she still went to the carts andstarted to move the things inside them into the house one by one. "Open it and take a look," replied Rocky, shrugging as if he could not care less what she did with histhings.

She hesitated a little bit, as she was unsure if she wanted to know what was giving that horriblesmell. But then, she had to open it anyway if she wanted to succeed with her test, so with a deepinhale, she opened the cloth and stopped breathing at the same time. As soon as she did, she sawbodies of rotten spirit-manipulated beasts. Some of their bones and muscles were completelyexposed. No wonder that they smelled so awful. She immediately felt nauseous and hurried tovomit.

"What the hell?! You bastard! You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Queenie stared angrily at Rocky,feeling that she had been tricked.

"What are you doing? Move those bodies in and then freeze them..." Rocky went on to instruct herwith what to do with the bodies, ignoring her violent reaction.

"Do you want me to bring these disgusting corpses in? I don't want to... No way!" Queenie refusedwithout hesitation. She was the second daughter of the Cao Clan! And yes she could bear it if shehad to move the heavy items, but this was different because Rocky was asking her to move thesedisgusting and rotten corpses inside. She, who had been born with a silver spoon, definitely couldnot stand it.

"Okay, but remember that it's you who wants to give up now. Don't blame me because I alreadygave you a chance. Go back now and don't come here anymore!" said Rocky ruthlessly.

"You..." Only then did Queenie realize why Rocky had said that she only had one chance. It felt likeshe had been duped, as he undoubtedly planned this from the beginning. She shouted angrily, "Ifyou do not want to teach me your Beast Curing Skill, then just go ahead and say it. Don't makethings difficult for me! I don't want to learn your stupid Beast Curing Skill anyway..."
