Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 951 Supernatural Beast
Queenie was frightened at first when she felt that someone else was inside her room, but as soon asshe recognized Rocky's voice, she was relieved. She tried hard not to show it though. She shouted athim from behind the screen, with an exasperated and highly irritated tone, "You pervert! How dareyou break into my room and peep at me while I'm changing clothes? Once I am done changing inhere, I'll kill you!"
"I'm not interested in you," Rocky answered indifferently, rolling his eyes at her. He continued, "Idon't have much time left, so I don't want to talk nonsense. I'm going to tell you about a few keypoints of raising the larva of the Dark Heaven Insect, so you'd better listen closely. Keep them inmind because you will be the one to raise the larva I sent to your sister from now on."
Queenie was about to lose her temper, but when she heard how serious Rocky was, she shut hermouth automatically. Her ears pricked up when he told her that she would be the one to take careof the Dark Heaven Insect's larva.
Rocky nodded when he noticed that she was listening seriously, then he proceeded to tell her thekey points of raising the larva.
"Did you get everything?" Rocky asked after he finished speaking, studying her facial expression forany confusion.
"Yes, of course. It was very easy to pick up. But..." Queenie trailed off, looking hesitant, as she bit herlip unconsciously. "Are you really going to marry my sister?"
"Don’t worry too much about it, little girl. Just focus on taking care of your own business. I will leavethe Cao Mansion for a few days, but don't be lazy just because I'm not here! If you have nothingelse to do, just practice hard.” Rocky didn't explain too much to Queenie, and it was evident that hewas in a hurry.
"Wait! Where are you--" She was about to poke her head around the screen, but he had alreadydisappeared into thin air. So many questions were running in her mind, stirred by his suddenappearance and disappearance, but as usual, he liked to keep everyone in the dark. She bit out acurse in frustration, as anger boiled inside her. Her anger subsided as quickly as it rose, and soon, itwas replaced by the bitter tones of sadness that weighed each of her steps like lead.
As soon as dawn broke the next day, Alyssa appeared in a pavilion five hundred meters away fromthe south of the capital. Before she had even stepped foot on the ground, she noticed the figurethat was standing inside the pavilion, looking like a silent guardian, with his hands behind his backand his eyes trained somewhere distant.
"When did you get here?" she asked immediately.
"I have been here for a while. Where are we going?" Rocky acted distracted when she arrived, but hewas actually very much aware of her presence.
"We are going to meet a reclusive elder of the Wood Clan," she answered promptly. Then sheopened the Magic Spiritual Space and summoned her spiritual beast at the six-star level.
In an instant, the gigantic beast blotted out the sun.
"Are we going to the territory of the spiritual race?” Rocky asked, his eyebrows raised in surprise."More or less. Now, stop asking unnecessary questions, and let's go!" Alyssa replied, noddingimpatiently, as she herded him towards the spiritual beast at the six-star level.
They boarded quickly and soon disappeared into the morning sky.
Along the way, Alyssa seemed preoccupied, as she was quiet, and her eyes lingered in the distance.Sensing this, Rocky thought it would be better if he did not provoke her, so he just left her alonemost of the way.
About half a day later, she suddenly patted the spiritual beast at six-star level, and the beast quicklydived into somewhere that Rocky was yet to spot.
After a few minutes of squinting at wherever they were going, Rocky spotted a valley shrouded inclouds. If he was not paying attention, then he would have missed it entirely, but now, as they camecloser to it, he could feel the extremely rich spiritual power that pervaded the air that surrounded it.After passing through the curtain of fog, he saw a boundless plain, lush forests, and a winding riverin the valley. Everything was full of vitality, and the valley resembled a peaceful and harmoniousparadise.
"Where is this place?" Rocky asked in wonder, as he looked around them in awe.
"This is the Spiritual Pasture Valley, an area of the spiritual race that humans cannot set foot on. It isunder the jurisdiction of the Wood Clan. Without the guidance of a member of the Wood Clan, wecan't get here," Alyssa replied.
Soon, the spiritual beast at the six-star level landed on a tilted slope in the Spiritual Pasture Valley.A dozen figures surrounded them as soon as the beast landed in the valley, and all of them hadstrong auras. Each of them was at least equal to a human master at the Supernal Stage.
Rocky took a closer look and noticed that all the figures had very slender bodies. They had longhands and feet, and the shortest of them was more than two meters high. However, their limbs wereas thin as withered wood. Their whole body was the color of green wood, and their skin was thetexture of ancient wrinkled trees. Their two ears stood erect and looked like elfin ears, while theireyes were thin and long, and their noses were slightly bulging.
From their physical features, it was easy to guess that they were members of the Wood Clan.
While Rocky was observing their possible opponents, they, too, were staring at him as if they wereseeing a monster. Their eyes were filled with open hostility, and they spoke to them in a strangelanguage that sounded like irate screaming.
Alyssa opened her pink lips and answered in a language that he could not understand, but once theclansmen heard it, they nodded respectfully to Alyssa and dispersed with fear.
"Let's go,” Alyssa said to Rocky, and she went straight ahead with brusque steps.
He followed closely, as they walked along the slope, and they soon reached the top where Rockysaw a shocking scene. There were at least twenty or thirty kinds of beasts running, chasing, andeven fighting with each other. It looked like they were raised in the vast plain by the clansmen.
He could tell at a glance that these beasts were not ordinary spirit-manipulated beasts, for theywere, in fact, powerful guardian beasts. They looked like cubs, but their aura was at least equal tothat of spirit-manipulated beasts in the third grade of the three-star level. Some of them evenreached the fourth grade of the four-star level, and each of them was unusually tall, while somewere even stronger than the spirit-manipulated beasts of the same star level. It was a spectacularview, to see the vast fields filled to the brim with the wonderful beasts.
"The Spiritual Pasture Valley is a place specially used by the Wood Clan for artificial reproduction, feeding, and training of guardian beasts. What you are seeing right now are only some cubs. Thereare more than a hundred guardian beasts in the valley," Alyssa said immediately when she saw theexpression on Rocky's face.
"Did you say more than a hundred?!” Rocky was taken aback. It was not a big deal if there were onehundred spirit-manipulated beasts, but if there were one hundred guardian beasts, it would be a bigdeal. Guardian beasts were very powerful after all.
"The Wood Clan is one of the most powerful clans in the spiritual race. There are more than threethousand spiritual slaves, ordinary spiritual beings, and spiritual masters in total and almost everyone of them can control guardian beasts. These beasts are raised and trained in the Spiritual PastureValley, and they are provided to the spiritual slaves who have just reached adulthood or ordinaryspiritual beings with poor strength. Powerful ordinary spiritual beings and spiritual masters usuallygo to very dangerous areas just to catch wild supernatural beasts, which they will then transforminto their own guardian beasts,” Alyssa explained.
"Supernatural beasts?" It was the first time that Rocky had heard such a name.
