28: "Did You Have Fun?"

William speeds down the road as we make our way to the Academy. He calls his men before we left to meet him at the Academy ready to fight. I stare out the window in deep thought about what just happen. I still don’t know what plans Tatrous have with the Academy. I know he uses the academy to recruit strong hampire for his bidding.

“How did you get involved with Tatrous?” I ask William.

“I was twenty when he turn me. Walking home at night when I got off from work. I actually had a pretty terrible day and was drinking that night. Apparently, drunk more than I thought, I was a mess. All I know is when I woke up the next day I was dead…A vampire.” He told me staring out to the road.

“Wow!”

“Yeah, been working for him every since. It was the only logical decision, work for him or be destroyed. Working for him gave me guaranteed safety and I was getting stronger as his top men.”

“What about the others?” I ask him.

“I took them under my wing as he brings them in one by one. If I can say, I think they’re more loyal to me than him. That’s why I’m in control of them.”

I didn’t comment on that as the car fell silent. I could see the loyalty they have for him and him to them. It would be logical to form a close relationship with people who hasgone through something you have. I saw William’s care for his men at the waterfall. I also personally know the strength he possesses.

“Then why would you risk helping me then?” I ask him.

“So, you will know that I’m on your side.” He said plainly.

I look over at him in confusion, waiting for him to explain.

“You need to stay with Tatrous he has something else bigger plan than this. He thinks you’re under his control and if you stay with him means your safe. You can learn more from being on his good side then on his bad side.” He told me looking over at me.

William phone starts ringing then catching us both by surprise. He searches his jacket with one hand before coming up with his phone. I watch him carefully as he clicks to answer the call.

“Yes, Sir,” William said looking over at me.

It wasn’t any secret who was on the other side of the line. William seems to like the type of guy who doesn’t say ‘yes sir’ to a lot of men.

“Yes, she’s with me. We knock out the others back at the warehouse and is now on are the way to the academy.” William said into the phone.

“What you mean change of plans?…No…Ok…Yes, I’ll be able to contact my men…Ok, will meet you there.” He said before hanging up the phone.

He drops the phone into his lap before pulling over to the side of the road.

“What’s going own?” I ask him.

“We need to meet him at another secure warehouse. He won’t tell me why the plan was changed, but I need to go meet him. So, I have a question to ask you… Do you want to continue being under his control?”

“You already told him I was with you.”

“I did, but I can also tell him you escape his compulsion and I had to get rid of you.”

I stare at him in thought going over the event that just happens. William is right about one thing, I’ll be safe with Tatrous. It will also be best to work from the inside than the out. My family and friends should understand why I’m making the decision I’m making. I ask William if I could use his phone, before calling Daniel up.

“Hello, Anglia?” His voice asks coming over the phone.

“Yes, Daniel,” I told him.

“What’s wrong?” He asks me with concern.

“Nothing is wrong, but it might be…” I told him what I wanted to do.

He protested that I shouldn’t continue with it. Saying that he doesn’t trust that I would be safe with Tatrous. I told him that Tatrous wouldn’t dare hurt me as long as he thinks he owns me. That William will have my back if anything was to go down. I let him rant before someone took the phone away from him and Bambi’s voice came over the phone.

“Anglia, he’s just hysterical right now. Sasha and I agree with you on this. She’ll be able to communicate with you anytime we want for updates and plans. Don’t worry about Daniel he’ll get over it.” Bambi told me.

“Ok, thanks. Tell my parents about what’s happening and tell them that I’ll be ok. Give the phone back to Daniel.” I told her.

“Be safe Anglia.” She told me before shuffling came over the line before Daniels’ voice came over the line in a pout.

“Boy! Don’t worry I’ll be just replace. I want you to be good until we meet again.” I told him with a hint of a smile.

“OK. Bookworm, stay safe and go to sleep at a decent time.” He told me.

“Thanks, Daniel, I’ll catch you later.”

“Of course you will.” He told me.

I smile before hanging up the phone handing it back to William. He gave me a look before starting the car up and turning around. He made a phone call to his men telling them the new location. The car fell silent then as I watch the trees fly by in a blur. I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know the car stop. I sit up in my seat to stretch looking over to William. He took out his keys before getting out the car. I move to follow him as he walks over to my side waiting for me. He led me into a similar building to the last one going down thousands of halls. When he finally stop in front of a door he looks up at me in a silent question. I gave him a nod to his question before getting into character. William knocks on the door before entering the room with me following after.

Tatrous and Haven were situated around a table. Haven had her feet stretch out over the table as Tatrous lean back in his seat. They both sat there like they were back in high school. When they notice are present both of them turn to look at us and a smile spread on Tatrous lips. I took a step closer into a room with my hands behind my back.

“Did you have fun?” Haven ask me looking over her shoulder to me with a smile.

“Of course,” I told them with a smile.
