Chapter 1274 Like A Taboo

"Hey, Mr. Kooper. Are you here to see Ms. Mullen? Why are you standing outside? Just go in." It was Adrien's voice. He even called Gilbert "Mr.

Kooper".

Kisa's heart trembled for a moment, and her back stiffened up. 'Why is Gilbert here? He should have gone out of this place long ago with how gloomy he was this morning.' Just as she was thinking about it, Adrien and Gilbert had already walked in. Vivian looked at Kisa, and after a while, she glanced at the two new visitors.

To Kisa's relief, Vivian did not go crazy like she did two days ago when she saw Adrien. However, there was obvious resentment and hostility toward Gilbert in her eyes.

"You're... from the Kooper family?" She asked Gilbert coldly.

"Yes, I'm from the Kooper family in Calthon. David Kooper is my uncle," Gilbert replied, not intending to hide anything.

Kisa subconsciously glanced at Adrien. She saw that he had his hands behind his back and was expressionless. Vivian's face began to show the distorted look of hatred from the previous days. "Hurry up and leave. Don't stay here and provoke Ms. Mullen!" Kisa hastily growled at Gilbert, but he ignored her.

"I know my uncle hurt you back then, and I apologize on his behalf," Gilbert said sincerely.

"Get lost! No one wants your fake apology." Vivian stared at Gilbert coldly, and her face was full of hatred. "Your family is full of hypocritical, disgusting, cruel, and ruthless people. Your uncle was cruel and ruthless, and so are you! I can assure you, none of your family members have a heart!"

Gilbert tightened his fists and looked at Kisa with a dark gaze, but Kisa did not look at him. Instead, she just stared elsewhere with a cold face. All Gilbert saw was her indifferent side.

Seeing that the atmosphere was tense, Adrien suddenly smiled at Vivian and said, "Please forgive Mr. Kooper, Ms. Mullen. His apology was sincere. Plus, his uncle's the one who hurt you, not him."

"What difference does it make? The Kooper family is vicious and evil. None of them deserve forgiveness." After saying that, Vivian yelled at Gilbert in hatred, "Get out! I don't accept your apology. If that apology is actually sincere, have your uncle come here and apologize. Don't think that hiding him away would solve anything!"

Gilbert looked at Vivian calmly. "Could you please tell me what my uncle did to you back then?"

That topic was like a taboo. Vivian squeezed the armrest of her wheelchair immediately, and her whole body was trembling slightly because of the intense emotion she was feeling. Her pale face began to look twisted again, and her eyes slowly turned red. She was filled with hatred and grief.

Kisa knew that things were not looking good, so she knelt and hugged Vivian as she yelled, "She doesn't want to see anyone from the Kooper family, so get lost!"

Gilbert did not budge.

"Go!" Kisa yelled again anxiously. 'If Vivian were to go crazy, it would attract the attention of Mr. and Mrs. Mullen Sr., and we would definitely be chased out of here. And, I can't leave now. I haven't found out more about David yet. I know that many of the secrets in this yard are somehow related to me. Otherwise, why would I always feel that there was an unusual gaze staring at me in this backyard?'

"What he did to me... What he did to me..." Vivian repeated the sentence with strong emotions as if she was recalling the unbearable events. Kisa hugged her tightly and said, "You're okay, Ms. Mullen. It's over It's over..."

After saying that, she glared at Gilbert once again.
