Reborn Through Fire (Kisa and Gilbert) -
Chapter 1312
Chapter 1312 You Really Have a Penchant for Lying
"I slept with another woman and had children with her, yet you really don't mind at all?"
'How infuriating!' thought Gilbert.
The anger he had suppressed so far instantly shot up because of her.
'Ironically, she always complains to others about how quick-tempered I am and how I always have a dark expression, but does she hear herself always saying such infuriating things to me? If other men were put in my position, wouldn't they be angry too? he thought.
However, Kisa still resented him because of the child, so she looked at him and lied, "I don't mind, really. Now that I think about it, that outrageous night you had with the woman happened not long after we got married. You didn't acknowledge me as your wife back then and disliked me. That's why I don't have the right to mind you being with other women, right?"
She was purposefully saying such things to make him shut up.
Gilbert's gaze darkened further. There was evident hostility churning in his eyes.
With a tense expression, he asked angrily in an icy tone, "Did you make up what I did with that woman in your head by yourself, or did you hear it from someone?"
"Of course I heard it from someone. My imagination isn't that colorful."
"That makes sense. If you made that up in your head, then something must be wrong with your head."
Gilbert suppressed his anger and growled lowly, "Tell me, who'd you hear such things from?"
'I'm going to beat this person to a pulp! How infuriating! How dare that person slander my name! I've only had this woman in front of me all my life, and I've only had children with her, he thought Kisa peered at his dark, hostile expression.
"Do you really want to know?" she laughed icily.
"Say it!"
"Your grandmother," Kisa chuckled.
She continued, "I heard about all that from your grandmother."
Gilbert instantly tightened his grip on Kisa's waist. Then, his eyebrows twitched with anger
Kisa sneered, "Were you thinking of making that person pay? What a shame. Since those things came out of your grandmother's mouth; you can't deny them now, huh?"
She suddenly turned to him in disappointment, "Gilbert, it actually doesn't matter who Andrew and Ada's mother is because I will still like them both. That's why you don't have to lie to me and say that they're my children."
"They are your children. Grandma lied to you!"
"I eavesdropped by the stairs and heard her saying all this to George, so she didn't know I was
there at all. Do you think she would purposefully make things up to lie to me?"
"She made it all up!" Gilbert was frustrated.
This is a huge misunderstanding, he thought.
Kisa nodded with a laugh, "Fine, fine, fine. Even if grandma made all of that up, how do you explain the DNA test? Gilbert, you really have a penchant for lying, so I don't believe you. You also can't blame me because you're rarely truthful to me."
Gilbert stared at her with a gloomy expression. He was so angry he no longer knew what to say
He tried his best to suppress the anger he felt within. Then, he said in a low voice, "It's alright. When we're back in Calthon, I'll arrange another DNA test for you and the children. I'll make you believe that the two children are yours."
I've calculated the risks, but her not believing Ada and Andrew are her children was not within my calculations. Grandma, too. I did not know grandma was slandering me this way behind my back. The thought of it is so infuriating and frustrating, he thought.
Kisa peered at the man's firm gaze and said indifferently. "Whatever. After all, DNA tests can be faked."
"Are you really trying to rile me up?" Gilbert narrowed his eyes. While his tone sounded much calmer than before, there was a hint of iciness.
Kisa snorted icily, Tm not riling you up; I'm just telling the truth."
