Reborn Through Fire (Kisa and Gilbert) -
Chapter 288
Chapter 288 His Acting
Gilbert responded as if he were joking, "Since you think of me so highly, what do you think of being the director for the upcoming drama GK Pictures is planning?"
"Of course, of course. I'd be honored. But would you be willing to be the male lead, Mr. Kooper?"
"I'll be the male lead if Ms. Becker, the CEO of J & K Film Group, is willing to be my co-actress."
"She's willing. I'm sure she's willing," the director said while throwing Kisa desperate glances.
Kisa felt resigned. She then responded dispiritedly, I'm fine as long as you don't get annoyed with my bad acting skills."
"I won't. You won't have bad acting skills when you're acting with me," Gilbert smiled meaningfully.
Even though Gilbert had a teasing expression, nobody dared to treat the things he said as a joke. Meanwhile, Sharon was fuming.
'I'm GK Pictures's most popular actress, so Gilbert and I should be the couple envied by all! I'm the one
who should be admired by everyone on the set! Besides, I'm the only one who has the right to act alongside Gilbert. Who is that woman to take away what's rightfully mine? Who is she?!' thought Sharon. Celandina attempted to butter her up, "Don't be angry, Sharon. That woman's nothing; she's no better than a servant. Mr. Kooper acting with her may be an attempt to embarrass her."
"Hah! The things that you've said are too laughable. Mr. Kooper clearly likes Kisa. Did you not hear what he said? He'll be the male lead only if Kisa's willing to be his co-actress. Meanwhile, Sharon won't stop pestering Mr. Kooper. I also don't see Mr. Kooper stooping to her level to act with her. You don't need me to tell you who's the one no better than a servant, right?" Lea promptly retorted. She could not bear hearing others speaking ill of Kisa.
Celandina glared at her furiously, "You vermin! How dare you!"
Just as Celandina was about to run up to Lea and get into a physical fight, Sharon grabbed her in
annoyance.
"That's enough. Have you not embarrassed me enough these past few days?"
"But Sharon, she..."
Sharon threw an icy glance at Lea before sneering, What's the matter? Did you forget how I beat you up last time? Don't think that Anthony will protect you just because you've slept with him. Let me tell you something, if I wanted you dead, Anthony would only sit by and watch."
Lea's expression promptly changed; she did not respond.
Sharon threw her another glance at her disdainfully before turning in anger to The Legend of Luna's set.
Kisa and Gilbert were currently doing another take for The Legend of Luna's first scene.
It was fall; the scene of leaves falling by the flowing river complemented the parting atmosphere.
To achieve the best visual effects, the director planned to shoot all of the drama scenes in live action.
The weather was overcast. The willow trees swayed with the gentle breeze as the falling leaves drifted in the wind. The atmosphere was wonderful.
However, Kisa simply could not get into the zone while facing Gilbert.
All she could think about were the grudges she held against him.
Meanwhile, Gilbert got into the zone very quickly. In no time, his eyes were filled with the sadness one had while parting with another. His sorrowful gaze was also exceptionally convincing. Even though he had only skimmed through his lines, he was able to breeze through them.
Every single line that he said brimmed with wistfulness and sorrow.
Moreover, his acting was so realistic that everyone spectating started to tear up.
On the other hand, Kisa said her lines wrongly numerous times due to her nervousness; even her expressions were a mess.
In the end, the director had to yell "cut". He turned to Kisa and chided, "Can you try harder? Do you see how good Mr. Kooper's acting skills are? Letting him act alongside you is practically a waste."
