Chapter 378 Then Get Out!

"Kisa, I'm done kneading the dough. What should I do next?"

Kisa did not bother arguing with the man in front of her and went to the kitchen.

Andrew glanced at the kitchen and whispered to Gilbert, "Daddy, why don't you go to the kitchen and help Ma'am out with the cookies?"

Ada slurped a mouthful of spaghetti and chimed in softly, "That's right, daddy. You could talk to Ma'am more while helping her with the cookies. That way, Uncle Jensen wouldn't take her away from you."

Gilbert snorted coldly, "She's purposefully making the cookies for your Uncle Jensen. Why should I go help?"

"But you could also have the cookies. It's not like Uncle Jensen's not letting you have any."

"That's right!" Ada said earnestly, "Uncle Jensen is really generous, so he'll surely let you have some of it."

Gilbert was already feeling incredibly irritated. After hearing what the children said, he felt exasperated.

'Are the cookies what I'm concerned about? I don't even care if I get to eat the cookies or not. I care about what that woman feels,' thought Gilbert.

'Whatever. The kids won't understand even if I explain.'

"Kisa, I'm done dividing the dough. Do I flatten all of them into

circles?" Jensen asked.

"Mhm," Kisa mashed the flower petals and responded without turning to him.

Suddenly, Ada and Andrew dragged Gilbert in with them.

Kisa's small kitchen seemed more cramped than ever.

Kisa frowned deeply. She glanced at Gilbert disdainfully before smiling at Ada and Andrew.

"What's the matter? Are you still hungry?" she asked gently.

Andrew shook his head, "Ma'am, could we please borrow Uncle Jensen?"

Kisa turned to Jensen with an amused expression, "He's your uncle, so you two don't have to borrow him from me. All you have to do is ask him." Jensen gazed at the children adoringly, "What's the matter?"

"Mmm..." Ada thought for a moment before continuing softly, "I'm having trouble with my homework. Could you please help me with it, Uncle Jensen?" "Don't you have your daddy? Can't he help you?" Kisa cut in just as Jensen was about to respond.

Gilbert's expression instantly darkened.

'Does she not want to be separated from Jensen that badly?' he thought.

Ada shook his head, "Daddy doesn't know how. Uncle Jensen is surely smarter than daddy, so I'd like him to help me."

Gilbert's expression darkened even more.

'Even my baby girl thinks I'm not as smart as Jensen,' he thought.

Gilbert was utterly upset. However, he continued gazing at Kisa coldly.

Jensen looked at Gilbert before turning to the two children. He had an idea of what was happening.

Jensen smiled at Ada, "Sure, I'll help you. But the rose shortbread cookies..."

"I can manage. Go and help the children with their homework."

"No, Ma'am. You can let daddy help you," Andrew said while shoving Gilbert into the kitchen.

Kisa immediately said disdainfully, "It's fine; I can do it myself. All of you can go outside."

"Ma'am, I really want to have some of your rose shortbread cookies as soon as possible, so let daddy help you. That way, the rose shortbread cookies will be finished faster."

Kisa did not answer. However, the disdainful expression on her face remained as her eyebrows furrowed even more.

Gilbert could not stand her disdainful expression and snorted coldly, "You don't want me to help you? I don't even want to help you. I'll get dirty and covered in flour!" "Then get out! Who asked you to come in?"
