Chapter 11: Unveiling Truth

Lyla's pov

"What's the deal with Elijah? why does he hate werewolves so much? I get that all of you so but his sounds very personal." I asked Aria when we walked inside.

"A werewolf killed his wife while she was pregnant. Ever since then, he has hated werewolves."

She said and I felt bad for him. No one should have to go through that pain.

"That explains it. Which pack was the werewolf from?"

I asked wondering if it was the Rouge pack because It sounded like something they could do.

"Well, that's the problem. We don't know where it's from. That's why he hates werewolves in general and takes matters concerning your kind to personal. "

She explained.

"I understand. He must have been really hurt. "I signed.

"Yeah, that's what we all thought. But he is letting his anger consume him. Didn't you see the way he didn't acknowledge Ansel? He believes Ansel is soft forgetting Ansel also lost his child."

"Is there anyone here who hasn't lost someone to a werewolf?" I asked out of curiosity.

Humans were so vulnerable so killing them was cowardice.

"Everyone here has lost someone to a werewolf. That's how the hunters were created.

Most kids here also lost their parents. They don't know what going to be in front of them. " she said as she braided my hair.

Aria wasn't my maid but I enjoyed her company and she loved braiding my hair.

"I feel bad for them. They are caught in all this mess that they never had anything to download with from the start. All because of werewolves." I stated.

I was a werewolf but I couldn't abandon was my kind did.

"Not just werewolves, vampires, witches, they all have done bad things in the past." she stated.

"Vampires?" I asked surprised.

"Yes, vampires. You don't know vampires exists."

Aria asked.

"They exist? I thought it was just some stupid myth." I explained.

"Parents told their children those stories to scare them but they were very much real. They weren't in existence until a witch from millions of years ago casted a spell on her family to turn them into vampires." she explained. "Why would she do that? According to what I have heard from my stories, vampires are blood thirsty creatures. So why would she turn he family into it. "

I asked in astonishment.

"One of her children was killed by a werewolf during a full moon. So her husband convinced her to transform the remaining kids and himself to keep them self safe.

This was the only way to keep them safe, because werewolves could turn only on full moons."

Aria explained.

"How does you know all this?"

"I am a witch, remember. I have witch ancestors. I can see most of their memories."

She explained.

"How come I haven't seen a vampire in town once?"

I was still replaceing It hard to believe because if vampires did really exist, I would atleast have seen them once.

"Vampires used to live here before but they were never able to live in peace with the werewolf. So many years ago, a war broke out causing most vampires to die. The rest ran away."

Something wasn't still quite clear. "Aren't vampires dead already, how can they still die?" I asked.

"Yes, they are dead already. But blood keeps them going, but when they don't get blood they get dried out. Some knew how to control themselves while others couldn't and fed on werewolves. That was how the war broke out.

The werewolf won because during a full moon, the vampires had no chance. Even without the full moon, a werewolf's bite is fatal to a vampire. They couldn't replace any cure then so most of them died."

"Wow, I don't believe it. Vampires are real. I wouldn't have believed but you're a witch and your guys do that thing with your grimore."

I said expressing casting a spell with my hands.

"What do you think a hybrid is then?" she asked.

"A creature who is double a werewolf. I don't know, I've been dead for 5 years and I had no business with Rouge pack before neither did I know that Ryker had a hybrid son."

I had no business with the Rouge pack when I was a teenager. The only pack I knew was my pack. Everything changed when I lost my father.

And a hybrid, I heard that for the first time when I met Kyle.

"A hybrid is the offspring of a werewolf and a vampire." she said.

That's sounded stupid to me. "That's impossible. Ryker is werewolf, so you're saying his mother is a vampire. But vampires are dead, they can't create children."

I was so confused at this point.

Aria had finished braiding my hair. She always did this before my training because my hair was extremely long and it distracted it distracted me during training. I had later training later that afternoon with Kyle so it was best I knew who I was going up against.

"Yes, vampires can't get pregnant. Kyle's mother was a wolf but she was turned. Ryker didn't know about it and got her pregnant only to replace out his son was a hybrid.

This was the way of the vampires teaching Ryker a lesson. To live with the thing he hated the most.

According to rumors, Ryker killed his wife because he hated what she had become. Some say he shoved his hands through her chest and ripped out her heart. But truly no one knows what happened." Aria stood up from the bed. "Lyla, you ask a lot of questions. Remember you have training today."

She said.

"Okay now you're want me to go. What happened to you not trusting Kyle?"

It was pretty obvious to any sensible person that Aria wasn't a fan of Kyle. She didn't hate him, she did not just trust him with me.

"Trust me, I don't still like or trust him. But he's the best thing that has happened to your ever since you're woke up. I saw the way you ran yesterday.

I have to keep my trust issues aside for this whole prophecy to actually work. Kyle is the bast chance you in training.

A human can't train you. But you can challenge yourself with him. That's the only reason I'm cutting him some slack."

"I agree but I'm not letting down my guard around him. He's still Ryker's son and nothing can change that."

"I won't be going with you today. I will be staying back. I have to heal slot of people today. So you will have to go alone." she said and left.
