"Dad, I told you already. I have everything under control. Just trust me. I will bring her to you. You just have to trust me. Why don't your want to see her so bad anyway?"

My dad has been trying to get hold of the new girl in town. I have no idea what the reason may be but he has been so much interested in her matters ever since one of the members of the pack told him that he had never seen her before in town.

This was the day we met her in the forest after she had turned. I admit I had never seen her around before and it was weird the hunters were housing a werewolf but my dad didn't know that. All he knew was that he wanted to meet the girl that he heard was a damsel.

If he wanted to marry her, I had no idea. All I knew was that he was very curious and restless ever since.

"Why I wanted to see her Is none of your business. I'm just curious about something."he explained. He sure is curious but I had no idea why, all I knew was that he badly wanted to see her.

"I said I want to see that girl. Your methods are too slow. Why can't you just invite her over? Don't make me do this myself. Now leave, I want to rest. "he said as he walked away.

I left and arrived at the bayou where lyla and I said we would meet. The hunters letting Lyla stay with them didn't mean the same for me.

The hunters were one of our enemies. They hunted us before but my dad killed moat of them. The ones that could survive are the ones in the territory.

If they are seen inside, they would be killed. Same goes to us werewolves, we don't go into there territory.

But I had no idea why they allowed Lyla to stay with them. It was kind of strange knowing the kind of hatred they have for our kind.

My dad had no idea that Lyla was staying there.

Plus I had the feeling Aria didn't like me at all. After waiting for a while, Lyla arrived with Aria behind her.

I couldn't identify the look on Aria's face. She just stared at me. But I saw a bit of caution.

"You're late. "I stated.

"I didn't realise we had set a time."she responded. Something had changed about her.

I didn't bother responding to her because if I did it wouldn't end and this session wouldn't commence. "Are you ready?"

I asked.

"Yes, I am." her voice steady and determined. Something was definitely up. She wasn't acting like before.

I didn't know her much but based on our past encounters, she acted fragile. For a werewolf, she was slow at learning.

"Good"I said moving towards her while Aria stood ready to strike if I made any move.

"We are starting with endurance today. I'm going to watch you and see how far you can go before you stop.

Do you understand? "I asked.

She nodded her head in agreement.

"You're going to be running around the bayou ten times without stopping. If you stopped, it means you didn't achieve anything today. " I explained.

"I get it."

she said and took her position.

I knelt down before her and marked her starting point and that would be her checkpoint every lap.

"Now, on your mark. "I said and immediately, she got down on her knees.

"Get set!"She rose a bit.

"Remember, do not stop. Go!! "

I shouted and she launched into motion.

I turned to face Aria. "Look, I know you don't like me. Not that I know why but can you atleast give me some breathing space."

I said and without waiting for her response. I swooshed off.

I appeared in front of Lyla, but she didn't feel impressed or surprised.

"Is that really the best you can do?"I asked. I wasn't trying to mock her, it was just what I saw.

"What are you talking about? "I heard her tone change.

"Is this the best you can download? This is just the sixth lap but you're panting like someone that just ran a marathon."

I demanded an explanation.

"No. No. You don't get to tell me that. You're a fucking hybrid. Your speed is twice that of a werewolf. So you don't just come here and say that knowing that within five seconds you're done with the whole race." "Fine, I'm sorry. But I train you and I tell you nothing but the truth. And being a hybrid has nothing to do with this."

"Dude, you have the speed of both a werewolf and a vampire combined and I have just a werewolf. So excuse you if I think being a hybrid has everything to do with this."

"Listen to me, I know wolves. Werewolves are brave, honourable and care for their pack. "I said and something changed in her expression.

"Your kind don't care if it's a vampire or a hybrid. All they know is they have got to stick together. And when they are determined, they win.

I may not know much about you but I know your kind is determined. I would have said being a hybrid has nothing to download with this but you're not even running as fast as a werewolf." She didn't still give any response.

"Look, I don't know what's going on with you. But for you to run faster than this ever or become stronger, you have to overcome anything that's stopping you from reaching your full potential." She looked at me like I hit a nerve. Next thing I knew she was in front of me. I stopped immediately, then she made another turn which was her eight lap.

I went back to the starting and in less than 5 seconds, she was done.

"Great job. "I said as she panted heavily.

"Here."I handed her a bottle of water.

"Thanks. "she collected it and drank half of the bottle.

"That was good. I was expecting fast but not as fast as that. I am impressed. "

She didn't say else to me. She just on a rock and tried to get herself together.

"Nice job today. Keep up the good work. Maybe we'll test your strength tomorrow." I said.

"Sure. "she answered. I could see she was too weak.

"Okay. See you tomorrow.
