Chapter 96: Unexpected Affection

"We get that a lot but she is my cousin," Axel said to me.

"Really?" I asked laughing.

"Yeah," Axel said to me as his cheeks turned pink.

He looked very cute. Honestly what is wrong with me? First handsome now cute?

"Here, these are your clothes. The maid gave the to me," Axel said as he handed me my clothes.

"Can you dress yourself? Should I help you out?" he asked.

"No, it's fine I can dress my self," I said quickly with a weird laugh.

Honestly my body felt weak and I didn't know if I could dress myself but there is no way I will let him see me naked.

"Okay then, I will wait for you while you get dressed," he said then he turned around.

Such a gentle man. Really what is wrong with me?!

I tried putting on my shirt but I couldn't move my arms and I got stuck.

"Um... Axel, could you um.. help me out?" I asked shyly.

"Of course," he turned to me immediately and he stopped as his eyes stared at my chest and I realized that I wasn't wearing any bra and I was fully naked on my top half. My skin immediately heated up as I tried to cover up my chest but failed terribly.

He cleared his throat and he walked towards me his eyes focusing on my face as he managed to put on my shirt for me, then he got my pants and he pulled down my hospital dress revealing my pink lacy panties which he stared at for a fraction of a second before he continued to help we wear my panties.

Immediately he helped me get dressed, Amira walked in with a nurse who held my report.

Amira smiled at me the she looked at Axel with a scowl, "She is cleared to go," she said to me.

Then she looked at me and said. "I will come visit you okay, and you are not allowed to train or do any straining work for now and according to my calculation you may go on heat again in a month's time. Hopefully by that time the vaccine I am working on will be ready. Although we will still have to run test on it,"

Axel carried me and placed me on the wheel chair provided by the nurses, as she started to wheel me away, Amira added, "Axel you will have to help her with practically everything. Her bones are still weak and she cannot walk yet nor move her hands properly. Feed her well for the next two days and I believe that by the third day, she will be good," she concluded and Axel began to wheel me again.

When we got back to the pack house, Axel carried me in his arms because my wheel chair was hard to push through the stairs and I felt uncomfortable in his arms I did not know how to explain it. It was uncomfortable, yet very warm and welcoming.

"I told the maid to prepare chicken soup, hopefully you'll like it. Hope you don't have any allergies?" he asked.

"Oh, I have only one kind, I am allergic to a specific shell fish," I said to him not telling him the particular shell fish.

"What kind of shell fish?" he asked and I thought if I should tell him. I must have looked hesitant because he said again, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to,"

"No, no. it is not like that. it's not that I don't want to tell you. It's just that I replace it embarrassing because I love sea food and ...

"Don't worry it's fine. You can tell me. I promise not to eat whatever shell fish makes you allergic? So, what is it?" he asked again smiling and I swear to you my chest was swarmed with butterflies. "It is lobsters," I said.

"For real? Those are my favorites!" he exclaimed and I laughed.

"But since I have promised, I will not eat them again," he smiled at me and opened the door to my bedroom where he placed me gently on the bed.

"I will get you're the chicken soup and I will be back,” he told me and he left.

I looked outside the window to see how developed his pack was, there were so many buildings, restaurants and it looked to beautiful.

I could see the mall from my window and I wondered if I could go shopping. I needed some new things.

He came back in exactly five minutes, don't ask me how I know that. I was probably counting.

The food looked and smelled so delicious, my mouth was literally watering as like I hadn't been embarrassed enough, my stomach thought it was the right time to rumble and I groaned internally while Axel laughed. "Now that is the sound of a hungry little monster," he joked. Did I hear right? This man just called my stomach a monster?

I glared at him and he laughed

"I meant it in a cute way," he raised his hands up in defeat.

"How can you mean it in a cute way when you literally called my stomach a monster," I said to him.

And he laughed making me hit him in the stomach.

I just hit the alpha I thought as I looked at him stunned but what he did next surprised me, he laughed.

"What is funny?" I questioned not understanding his reason for laughing.

"Your face. Your expression is really funny," he continued to laugh and I just shook my head.

He fed me the chicken soup gently until I told him I was filled up then he put me into the blanket and told me to sleep.

"You are treating me like a baby. I want to watch a movie," I said

"I will have them install a television in your room," he said to be and I nodded.
