Chapter 12 Daydream

"Dad, it's not a dream, right?” Hank Shawn asked excitedly.

Carl Shawn pretended to be calm. “Son, calm down. Though our familyis now in decline, it used to be a well-known family in this city. TheGroup of Pinnacle is the new-raised, so they don't dare to offend us.When we get in later, keep your attitude higher. Don't let them lookdown on us.”

“Well, dad, don't worry.” Hanks nodded. Then the two swaggered intothe manager's office.

In the office, Shane Lin was lying on the chair, without any attention tothe two people who were getting in.

Hank was confused. This was different from what he imagined.Shouldn't Shane Lin stand up hurriedly and bow to them?

Shane didn't speak, which eventually made Carl feel something wrong.However, since they had come, they couldn't go back without doinganything.

“Mr. Lin, I'm Carl Shawn...” Carl greeted cautiously.

“Do you have anything special in resort construction?” Shaneinterrupted Carl.

Carl cheered up. As long as Shane spoke, the negotiation would bepossible.

“Mr. Lin, we have nine professional engineering teams with a variety oflarge construction equipment. Besides, we're good at the business ofreal estate, and our workers are experienced. We built many famousbuildings in City C.."

Carl was so eloquent that he didn't stop boasting their teams for almostten minutes until he felt thirsty.

Shane Lin fell asleep on the chair!

Carl's eyes turned red. How could Shane treat him like that?

Hank beside Carl was furious, as well. Usually, when people heard thathe was from Shawn's Family, they would respect him much, but today,Carl and he had been ignored many times!

“Mr. Lin!” Carl deepened his voice. Though he was furious, he was notstupid. He didn’t dare to blame Shane, for what was behind Shane wereHans Shen and Chen's Family, which could tread Shawn's Familyrepeatedly on the ground.

“Hum? What's the matter?” Shane seemed to wake up from the dream,looking at the two confusedly.

“No...nothing. I've said our specialties.” Carl restrained the anger andgave a signal to Hank.

Hank got it, taking out a long sandalwood box from behind, andrespectfully putting it in front of Shane. “Mr. Lin, my father, he heardthat you like tea, so he specially bought this blue and a white porcelaintea set from the street selling antique. I hope you like it.”

Shane glanced at Hank, then opened the box, a set of the blue andwhite tea set, crystal clear and bright, lying in the box.

It was indeed an excellent tea set, though it was not the best blue glaze.It was worth more than one million.

They had invested a lot. Shane sneered.

“Mr. Lin..." Seeing Shane seem satisfied, Carl had the hope again.

“Mr. Shane, I think you have missed a specialty of Shawn's Family,”Shane said.

“Ah?” Carl and Hank looked at each other, confused. Was there anymore specialty Shawn's Family had?

“Mr. Lin, please make it clear,” Carl asked respectfully.

“Making daydreams!” Shane sneered. “The daydreams Shawn's Familymade are all interesting.”

An obvious humiliation!

Carl and Hank's faces suddenly twisted.

It was not until now did they realized that Shane had been playing withthem at the beginning!

From the beginning, Shane had intended to humiliate them!

Carl couldn't control his anger. He asked with fury. “Mr. Lin, what havewe done to offend you?”
