Days passed by and Elle blended in nicely with the royals. It was as if she was born to be in the palace, but ended up in the wrong place. She narrated how she hated what her family did even during her childhood. She hated that they chose to steal and live their lives like they did. She had always wished for a prince charming who would sweep her off her feet, which literally came true.

Evan and Elle yet had to mate and Evan had to mark her. Otherwise the marking won’t be complete. The night, Elle was allowed to leave the hospital, she was given a warm welcome at the palace. Everyone was happy and glad to have her in the family. Elle couldn’t contain her happiness. She was never treated like that back it her own home. She had always been the black sheep in the family. She had always voiced her opinions which never tallied with their ways. And hence, they never got along. Life was depressing for Elle, but now, it seemed that finally, her dreams were coming true. Life went on and Evan still had not claimed her. Elle didn’t have any complaints. After all, he was busy with trainings and her life really had gotten better than it ever was. She was happy to see him everyday, though she longed for a day that he would claim her.

They barely had time for themselves. The training for new, war general’s demanded most of their time. Evan yearned for his new found mate. But he had to be patient if he wanted to go home to her on his day off. Finally, they were able to replace some time to spend together after one whole week. Elle was ecstatic. She had longed for him ever since she marked him. She was his beloved and he was hers. It had been just a week since they met, but she knew that she had already fallen in love with him.

“Do you like it here love?” Evan asked her while they relaxing in their room. She nodded.

“I love it. Everyone is so nice and friendly.” She answered cheerfully. Evan smiled in satisfaction. It was so good to see her happy, unlike when they found her in woods.

“Wait until mom meets you! I hope she does not eat you up.” Evan joked. Elle giggled and rested her head on his lap. This was life. Evan kept admiring her ethereal beauty. Her silk like long hair was pulled together in a messy bun. Her face was bare of any makeup. What his beloved possessed was real natural beauty. How lucky was he to have her? He traced her delicate freckles, her luscious pink lips and her slender figure.

Elle looked up at him. She smiled as she studied his features. With deep brown eyes and chocolate hair that matched his eyes, he most certainly was the most handsome male she had seen. Or so she thought. Elle got up from his lap, and looked at the mark she had given him. She traced it, smiling the whole time. Evan hissed as he felt a jolt of pleasure that originated from the mark, course through his whole body. Memories of the night she fed from him made him want to hold her like that once again. He wanted her to feed from him, and this time, he too was going to feed from her and mark her as his, so that everyone would know that they belonged to each other.

Evan cupped her face, and gazed deeply in to her hazel eyes. “I can’t wait to have you love.” He whispered. There was something in his voice that made her shiver. Something enchanting. Whatever it was pulled her in to a daze and soon both of them were lost in their own world.

“Evan!!!” his mother’s shrill voice echoed across the palace walls. Evan and Elle snapped back to reality. She was back? Evan’s mother was back? His heart skipped a beat. She was actually back. He looked at Elle’s confused face and g*****d.

“It seems everything is against us completing the marking.” He grumbled. Elle smiled in amusement but her expression clearly showed that she still didn’t know what was going on.

“My mom…..” just then the door to the room swung open. A beautiful woman who resembled Evan was at the door. “ ….is here.” Evan completed what he was saying. “Elle. This is my mom.” He introduced. “And mom. This is Elle. My beloved.”

Evan’s mother shrieked in excitement and rushed towards Elle who was taken in to a bone crushing hug. Elle giggled. Evan’s mother held Elle at her arm’s length with a huge smile on her face. “Oh my God Evan she is so beautiful!” she squealed. Her eyes twinkled as she turned Elle around and just admired her in exhilaration.

Evan face palmed at his mother’s reaction. “Mom. You acting like a creep.” He g*****d.

“Whatever Evan.” She muttered and smiled sweetly at Elle. “I am his mother. Ok sweety? Call me mom. I love you already.” She grinned from ear to ear before crushing Elle in to her embrace once again.

“Gabriella?” came Evan’s dad’s voice. He halted at the doorway when he saw that she was already about to smother Elle. He shook his head as he walked in. “Gabriella, I came as soon as I found out that Kat had told you about Evan replaceing his beloved. I was afraid that you might smother her.” He smirked. Everyone knew Evan’s mother was a hugger.

“Oh pfft Rolan. Shut up.” She retorted. “Evan why don’t I see a mark on her neck already? It has been a week since your birthday. It was such a pity that I had to leave but that’s ok.”

Evan scratched the back of his neck, not knowing what to tell her. He looked at his father for help. “Come on love, give the kids their time.” He snaked his hands around her.

She just rolled her eyes. “You marked me that night itself. Remember Rolan? You practically carried me out of the party and took me to your room…..”

“Oh ok. I think that’s enough information mom.” Evan cringed at the thought of their parents marking each other. She simply glared at her son. “Hmm. Fine Evan. But I want you to mark her tonight. If not I’ll make you mark her.” She threatened before leaving the room. His dad followed her and closed the door behind them.

Evan was quick to lock the door. Elle was simply amazed by how lively and fun Evan’s family was. She was too lucky to be part of it.

“Evan….” she was about to say something but Evan silenced her with a k**s. “You heard her.” His husky voice made her breathing hitch. “I must have you now babe. I can’t wait much longer.”

Elle didn’t get any time to reply. Her lips were sealed with his, as his hands roamed all over her. All what she could do was whimper in pleasure as they plunged in to their delightful experience and quenched their thirst for each other.

Evan pov

It was bliss. I finally feel complete. Waking up next to her was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I stared at her face which was still red. She sighed in her sleep before shifting a bit, removing the sheet that covered her and revealing part of her luscious body. My mouth watered at the sight and a sigh of satisfaction escaped my lips when my eyes landed on the mark that announced who she belonged to now. She was perfect. Perfect for me and my family. I was so glad that she got along with Carol and Kat, though I had to bear with them roasting me now and then.

I chuckled. Carol didn’t have much time before she found hers. Then, I will make sure I get back at her for each and every time she teased me.

But my forehead soon wrinkled in a frown when I thought about her. She had somehow changed. She has become somewhat silent for the past few days. She may try to tease me with Kat, but what I had noticed was she becomes completely silent, when David is around. She doesn’t talk much. She just tries to focus on her training and studies.

I sighed. Just a few more weeks and she will turn eighteen. But the problem was, she had fallen for him. And there was no way the king would let her claim him. He is very strict about this. Specially since she is the heir to the throne. Besides, if he realises that David is a lycan, all hell will break loose. I just hope replaceing her beloved does not become tragic.

And I better help David get his revenge soon, before this turns in to a disaster.
