Rejected? Deuces! A Gay Werewolf Novella
Chapter Thirteen (Regan)

“Fucking hell,” my trusted best friend spat angrily as he and the rest of my team (Keith, his father, and the two ladies whom Keith and I claimed as our mates) still sat in the dungeon cells for another day. “Lainey has been found out by that Albritton huntress and the hospital is now under lockdown to protect that brat.”

“The omega is nothing short of a nuisance,” I muttered as Sorcha snuggled up to me in support. “I’m going to end him and all the omegas for good this time. I should’ve killed him that night. I really should have.”

“Don’t worry, love,” my lady said, kissing my cheeks which made Anubis snuff in disgust. “You’ll have your chance the moment we get out of here. And by next week, you and I will make love on his corpse and have his heart as our wedding cake.”

“I like the sound of that,” I said, grateful for my new mate to offer me support.

“You fucking fool,” my wolf Anubis snarled, rolling his eyes. “Why did I got stuck with you as my human counterpart, I’ll never know. And that whore is nothing short of a nuisance. She’ll lead your downfall. Mark my words my brother.”

I just blocked him, my mind already determined to have Sorcha as my new wife.

“You all right, so?” Keith’s dad asked me, noticing my disgruntled stare.

“It’s just Anubis reminding me that I was making a mistake with all of this,” I assured him. “No, I’m doing this for all the wolves who think the same way that I am- we want nothing to do with omegas of any kind as they are the dead weights of society mean to be slaves, sacrificial lambs, or used as a tool for sex. And once I finally off that human runt, I’ll make sure that only Alphas, Betas, warriors, Gammas, Deltas, and everyone who isn’t an omega have total control of the world. And as for the humans themselves? We’ll simply eat them alive and make the survivors know that their time is over and done with. I will take over the world.”

“But how can you do all of that when you’re destined for death yourself?”

The five of us (and all the pro-Carson prisoners) whipped around to see a ridiculous sight: a dainty and feminine-looking male djinn wearing form-fitting pants and his shirtless stomach adorned with golden chains. His light chocolate skin glowed by the faint sunlight. “Who the fuck are you?” I hissed angrily.

“You can simply call me Thebes, the King of all Djinns and the messenger of the Moon Goddess herself since I am the descendant of her right-hand man Nyx, the djinn said cheekily. “And you, dum-dum, are in a whole shit of trouble with everyone knowing of your initial attack to kill the poor omega by the rogue huntress herself.”

“Lainey was doing what she needed to be done,” Keith bellowed, his eyes glowing yellow with rage.

“Piffle, boy. She earned herself a one-way ticket to hell in a picnic basket,” Thebes said. “All the same, the Moon Goddess is not too happy with all of you at the moment, especially with the fact that you dare go against her plan to kill off her child.”

“What?” I said, my mind more confused.

“You heard me well, my dim-witted dodo-brained turkey,” Thebes said. “The boy you rejected is a descendant of the Moon Goddess herself as are his two dads Kings Iain and King Archer, and you know what that means, do you?”

The ladies soon turned pale, Sorcha immediately backing away from me as if she was near a burning bush. “He can’t be killed,” she said weakly. “Oh, Goddess. What have we done?”

Thebes’ eyes glowed bright, smiling down at her. “Ah, it looks like we have someone who sees the light,” he said. “It’s not too late, girlie. Spare yourself the fate of being caught in his lies and come to light.”

“Shut it, djinn,” I growled. “Sorcha, you know that the-”

“Shut up!” Sorcha cried, letting her tears seep down her face. “What have I done? I almost followed into the paths of a doomed man. May the Goddess forgive me.”

“And me,” Liana said, joining her sister and glaring me down. “You fucking idiot! And to think that you had a good reason for wanting the boy dead? And for what? Your pride?”

“I know what’s best for myself,” I hissed as I turned to my now-stunned best friend and his equally subdued best friend. “Don’t tell me that you two-”

POW!

I landed on my back, stunned by the blow to the jaw by a now-fuming Keith as he was shaking with embarrassment. “I did him wrong,” he muttered. “Carson, h-he’s the descendant of the Moon Goddess, making him impossible to kill. And I showed him nothing but evil.”

“You didn’t know,” his father assured him. “We didn’t know.”

“Fuck!” I said, turning on Thebes as he saw my friends turning against me. “You little-”

“Tut-tut, dummy dearest. Never insult the messenger of the Goddess. Anyway, she’s tired of you waiting around and rejecting the truth that’s in front of you and what’s to come. You stand by your choice of wanting Carson dead, this is what happens.”

“I will never accept him,” I said. “The runt needs to die so I can be the king!”

“No, YOU need to die,” Sorcha sobbed as Rory, Francesca, and Liana comforted her. “I deserved to be punished for wanting to join you. But you need to die for fighting fate. I’m officially out as I want nothing to do with you.”

“Same here,” Keith said as he and his father joined the other pro-Carson prisoners. “Long Live Alpha Ciara. And may the Goddess have mercy on us all.”

I just spat on the ground. “Whatever,” I muttered. “I’m the rightful heir to this land and I will be the Alpha that this pack needs.”

“Oh, is that right?” Thebes drawled. “And how can you be an Alpha born with rights if you’re a bastard yourself?”

“What?”

“And how can you be the rightful heir of something that can be forbidden when you’re not even born a wolf.”

“What do you mean, djinn?” I said. “Stop with your lies.”

The djinn only smiled, his eyes glowing with power as he finally said the words that I thought I would never hear and all I saw was redder with hatred as it came down to me: my own family had lied to me from the start. Ciara was born a werewolf... while I was a bastard, an adopted human who was turned into a wolf as a newborn. And I wasn’t even deserving the title of Alpha in the first place.

And it was all true.

And it made me want to kill everyone in this pack and Carson before dethroning the fags and claiming the title as the king of wolves.

And as for Carson... he will no doubt be my sacrificial lamb...but not before I have my fun with him.

Shifting into my wolf, I made my attack and began to kill.
