Jax POV

“I’m sorry Boss.” Vince said his eye pleading as he stood in front of me.

“Sorry” I sneer glaring at him. “What exactly are you sorry for?”

He drops his head remaining quiet.

“That you allow your partner to die, that you cause my woman Bet to get hurt or that you made a pregnant woman and a little girl escape. They even manage to kill two of my men” I growled.

He said nothing but kept his head hung.

“Answer me!” I Shouted annoyed at his silence.

“Darling, don’t be mad.” Bet said as she put her hand on my shoulder trying to calm me down.

I shoved her hand off me in disgust. Bet maybe be an attractive woman, but I am just using her. Her knowledge in medical is perfect to assist me in my plan and she make a good bed warmer, but she can never replace my beautiful mate. How dare she think she can calm me down. She got in her head we are destined to be together and thou I publicly push her away she stills stays.

*Idiot* my wolf called me as he laughs

*I am not an idiot. * I reply

My wolf did not reply back. he blamed me for causing our mate to die and so he rarely talks to me except for a few insults when he gets the chance. why can’t he understand it was Kiefer who killed our mate? It his damn fault.

“I don’t touch me.” I said to her.

“I’m sorry.” She said stepping away. “Though it’s not enough of it I still manage to give her a little dose. She should be feeling contractions now and if we’re lucky her water broke either way, they won’t be able to get far.” She explains

I nod my head at her. “You are useful indeed.” I said grinning. If you haven’t notice Bet is very familiar with werewolf I don’t know how, and I do not care to know.

She smiled blushing. Does she think that was a compliment. Stupid woman.

“You heard her, she couldn’t have gotten far. Go and search for her. I just need her so kill the girl with her.” It was foolish of me to bring the girl, I thought she would be useful, but I was wrong.

I looked at Vince still standing there his head bow. “If you don’t leave my sight immediately, I’ll kill you.” I said. He looked up and his eyes met mines. He scurries away scared.

I laughed.

“Boss we have a problem.” Cain Shouted as he came running.

“What is it now.” I ask annoyed.

“Kiefer, he’s coming.” He tries to speak panting.

“Kiefer what?” I ask raising my eyebrow.

“He’s coming with what look like half of his fighter.” He explains. “I came back as fast.”

I cursed under my breath. “How did he replace our hideout?”

“It could be the guys the capture.”

Damn then and that idiot, this is two soon. I can’t make him punish with his mate missing. My hand balled into fist and I punched the wall leaving a hole in it.

“What do we do, they have really good fighters. It will be hard to hold our own against them” Cain said.

“What are you scared now?” I ask glaring at him. “Listen to me if you run away, I will kill you myself.”

“No.” he answers confidently.

I grinned. “Good.”

*Hurry and replace that pregnant Bitch. * I mind linked to the few that gone out to look for her. I need her here to put on a good show for her mate. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when I kill her and rip out her baby. I grinned just thinking about it.

A beautiful sight that will be.

I look at Cain. And grinned. “You’re the Bate, get everyone and prepare for our guest. We have a fight to be won.”

Brella POV

“I think my water just broke.”

Kristy eyes widen not sure what to do.

I began the breathing technique I read in the book what to when you go in to labor. After the pain subsided, I stretch out my had to Kristy. “help me we need to keep going or they’ll catch up to us.”

She nods her head helping me stand. We began or walking, it was not long enough when I heard sounds behind us. Seems like they’re now looking for us. I urge Kristy to move faster. We stand no chance against wolf on foot anytime they’ll catch up.

Another wave of contraction hits which cause me to hiss but I continue walking. It would be foolish to stop now. Kristy kept glancing at me as bead of sweats runs down my forehead.

“Maybe we should stop.” She suggested “Just for a second.”

“No.” I shake my head. “We can’t I can sense them out there looking, just keep moving.”

Kristy bit her lips but did not say anything, we continue walking in silence. Every couple minute I can feel the contractions.

*They are close* my wolf said.

*I know I can sense it* I answer. *I don’t think I can go any further. * I told her honestly as I feel my energy draining as I try so hard to surpass the pain. My legs shake as I can hardly walk properly, I wiped the sweat of my face.

*Keep going* she urges. * Don’t give up for our pups, I’ll lend you my strength that can help. *

“Bree look there’s a cave up ahead.” Kristy said pointing her eyes shining brightly.

Looking up I focus my vision and indeed I saw a cave just up ahead and with my wolf heighten hearing I think I hear running water.

“Let’s go.” I said.

Kristy nodded and we quickly made our way to the cave. We went inside and the was dark and wet. The walls were wet and moist. The cave was not deep as we stopped at a dead end, they were water dropping filling a pool of water. Kristy helped me take to sit on a big rock.

“What do we do now.” She asks as she sat beside me.

“I don’t know hope fully they pass this cave without thinking to look.” I said.
