Chapter twenty-seven: tour the packs

It's been about a week since we announced to the pack that I was taking over as alpha, and it hasgone so fast.

I knew that pack life was rough, but my god, is there a lot of paperwork. I have spent the last weekstuck in the office doing non-stop paperwork; it's tiring, but Hazyn has been super helpful.

“We need to get on the road, baby”, Hazyn smiles at me. I nod my head quickly in understandingbefore signing my name on my last piece of paperwork.

“Ben, you got this?" I question.

“Yep, Ashley and I will keep the pack running while you are away, have fun at the packs”, Ben smiles.I nod my head, quickly moving the paper I just signed into the send-off pile to make it a bit easierfor Ben to deal with.

“I'll miss you" I hug Ashley as I talk before turning to Ben

“Don’t burn down the pack” Ben laughs at my comment before moving in understanding.

“We need to go”, Hazyn butts in, trying to hurry me up; I just nod my head before taking hazynshand before walking out of the office, through the pack house and to the packed car.

"How many packs do we have to go to?” I question worried about how long we will be gone, I onlyjust took over, and I want to make sure nothing happens to my pack, and here I am being draggedto different packs.

“We have a lot of allies, but I arranged it so that we only have to go to five packs. All the alliesagreed that it's what's in the best interest for the pack and us” hazyn smiles before turning the caron.

*Time skip*

We have been to four packs already, and they are all so lovely. The alpha and Luna at the ShadowPack showered us in massive feasts every night we were there. The alpha of the Mystic Shadow Packmate died a few years ago, and after his beta taking over for a while, he has just come back intopower and is really excited to work along side me if it's ever needed. The beta of the magic pack isin charge, and I got to see so many supernatural creatures under one roof; it was really lifechanging. The Luna of north pack showered us in gifts, but she was really different and not in agood way.

“Where to now?" I question Hazyn

“You won't like this, but river falls” I stare blankly at Hazyn.

“You didn't think to tell me this earlier?” I question, making Hazyn take a hand off the wheel and rubthe back of his neck.

“I'm sorry, but your alpha now, you can throw it in their faces, and they have to respect you now”Hazyn smiles before rubbing my leg quickly so he can grab the wheel again with both hands

This is going to be a nightmare
