Rejected, My Jaded Love -
Episode 11
After the meeting in Alpha Andrew’s Office, I am exhausted. It has been a draining and emotional day, and I just want to replace my room and then sleep. I am not hungry at all. I haven’t been hungry all day since I was rejected. I have had some sodas today to keep up some fluids and calories. I knew I had almost passed out this morning, but I wasn’t hungry. I just want to put my clothes up and replace a bathroom, take a shower, and go to bed.
I am excited about training tomorrow with Braxton, I mean Brax, and Mason will also be coming just to see “where I am” in my training. I already told them where I am, at zero. I have no score and no knowledge, but Mason said with me being a white wolf I may have a fighting instinct and might surprise myself.
I come down the hallway designed for the Gamma family. Both ends are designed the same way with the Beta family on one end and the Gamma family on the other end. Both ends reflect the other end. Each end has 4 bedrooms, with Bryan and Aubrey getting the largest, main, bedroom. Nicole and Jessica had already picked out their rooms and put my duffle bag and my small suitcase in my room, I just need to figure out which of the rooms is mine. Nicole comes out of one of the rooms and closes the door behind her at the end of the hall. She grins at me and runs down the hallway to me.
She gives me a big hug and says, “Hey you ready to see your room?”.
I tell her “Of course”.
Nicole laughs and says “This one is your room. I gave you the room next to mine. Our rooms are side by side, and the room that you saw me exit is mom and dad’s room just in case you need them they are at the end of the hallway on the left. Jessica’s room is just across the hallway from your room”.
“Where is the bathroom for this floor?” I ask Nicole.
“Oh, hang on, let me show you your room Jade”. Nicole told me with a big smile on her face.
We enter my room, and I couldn’t stop the gasp that fell from my lips. I basically have my own apartment. There is a ton of natural light coming into the main part of my room. There is a wall of windows with a light tint on them to keep the light from the sun being blinding. I also have grey and white, blackout drapes in a Melodieux Moroccan pattern, so at night no one can see into my room and the light won’t wake me on mornings that I have to sleep in. My room is done in light grey and with white accents. I have a queen size bed with two dressers in my room, as well as a full walk-in closet. I put my suitcase in the closet, and I duffle down in from of one of the dressers to unload later; I am exhausted. I don’t have that many clothes so it literally will take like 5 minutes. I just want to go to bed. I am so tired. Nicole leads me to the last door in my room and tells me to “brace yourself” as she opens the door.
I am now looking at the most beautiful bathroom that I have ever seen. I have a curved jetted tub in the corner that has a tempered glass insert in it, and it is HUGE. I am totally taking a bath tonight, instead of a shower. The insert allows for anyone else in the bathroom to see into the Ariel Platinum Whirlpool Bathtub, which also had the white and grey theme continuing into my bathroom shower. The tiles in my shower were light and dark greys, with some of the light greys being almost white. There were dark greys that were almost black, as well as some light and dark teals in the tile giving it depth. I fell in love with the tiles and pointed at them, with Nicole telling me “Those are beautiful. They just had this packhouse built a little over a year ago and I already asked about those tiles. They are Elida Ceramica Sparkle Ocean Blue and I want to get them installed into my own home, whenever I get home. My room looks like yours. The rooms on the opposite side of the packhouse are done in tans and whites and they are beautiful too, I am just partial to the teal color, and I know you are too, and since Jessica liked the room and the view across the hall, it all worked out”.
“I am never leaving this bathroom. I love the tiles in the shower too. Maybe we can get a deal on this tile if we order in bulk for both our future houses” I tell Nicole.
This bathroom was the size of my bedroom at my old house. I have a seated vanity to be able to do my hair or makeup at if I choose to wear any, with a Dyson hairdryer hanging from a hook next to it. I have a towel stand sitting between the shower and the whirlpool tub, with the fluffiest white towels that I have ever seen sitting on it, I am so happy right now. I cannot believe how many emotional changes have occurred since this morning. I have gone from brokenhearted and broken, to feeling blessed at having such a beautiful room and a real chance at a happy life. My heart is still broken, and I am still sad because my mate didn’t love me enough to want to claim me, but I feel like I will be ok. I will get past this, I am not the only person to have been rejected, and I have faith that Brax and Mason will help me reach my full potential.
“Come on Jade,” Nicole tells me pulling me towards the door to my room.
“I was just going to take a shower, well I changed it to a bath, but I was just going to get clean and go to bed early. We have training early in the morning and I am just exhausted”. I tell Nicole.
“Sorry, Jade. My cousins can’t wait to meet you and it is time for dinner anyway. You haven’t eaten all day, don’t think that I didn’t notice. I know you had some drinks today, but you do need to eat. They serve breakfast starting at 5 am to 7 am. Lunch is 11 am to 1:30 pm, and Dinner is from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. That way whatever time you have training or work scheduled you can go before or after it, and not miss any meals. Even if you don’t eat much, you still need to eat something. So come on, we will go down as a family” as she just pulls me out into the hallway, where we meet up with Jessica and Nicole’s parents, Aubrey and Bryan.
We take the elevator at the end of the hallway down and Nicole hands me the key card that allows me to use the elevator to get up to the 5th floor and enter my room.
There is an elevator at both ends of the packhouse, and anyone can get to the 2nd through the 4th floors, but you need a key card for the elevators to get to the 5th (Beta or Gamma Floors) or 6th floor, for the Alpha family.
We enter the dining room and are waved over to the head table on a raised platform that makes us be a foot and a half higher than the regular tables. It is almost 7 pm as it has been a long day, but there is still plenty of food available. Another table had been added to the platform as we added five more people to the head table with a Gamma family now back in place at Stone Moon. I sit at the end with Jessica, with Nicole sitting to my right and her Parents to her Right. I get up from my seat to go get my food with Nicole and Jessica.
I am surprised at the selection of food that is still available for us at 7 pm. I ask one of the servers if it will be thrown away if it is not eaten. She advises me that anything not eaten will not go to waste. That the pack Warriors that are about to change shifts will be grabbing the food after their shift, and when Grave shift gets relieved, they will either grab some leftovers or get breakfast, it is too their preference if they want dinner or breakfast. I am glad to see that nothing is wasted here, as the meats are either chopped, sliced, or pulled apart to make sandwiches that are wrapped and dated, then put into a large glass door refrigerator for you to see what is available before you go to open to door. There are side items in a small container in there as well with the leftover dated and lined up with their dates, fruit salad bowls, and bigger bowls with the leftover soups in them, also dated. “Anything over 3 days old will get thrown away if it is still there at that time” is what she tells me as we walk around the area. I see that there are 3 microwaves on the counter along with napkins, condiments, and real silverware.
I decide on a turkey sandwich from the leftover fridge and grab a bag of chips and a bottle of water, I wasn’t super hungry, but I probably needed to eat something. I go to return to my seat and fall to the floor in the worst pain that I have ever experienced. My food falls from the tray and my water bottle bursts onto the floor. It felt like my insides were on fire, and I could not breathe. I don’t know what is going on, but I am so glad that the dining room was almost a ghost town because I felt like I was going to die. I hold onto my lower stomach and try to curl into the fetal position to try to replace some relief. I hear Nicole call out frantically for Aubrey and Bryan to come and help. I hear other footsteps come running in from the living room area as I just let go and pass out. The last thing that I hear is Mason calling out for me to “stay calm, we are going to help you”. As I let the darkness take me, I hope that they can help me. I don’t know what is going on and I am terrified.
