Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 86

Figures knelt outside the Hartleys villa gate, and they pleaded, "Miss Hartley, please spare us. It's our fault for being blind, not distinguishing right from wrong." "We shouldn't have fabricated stories for attention, we shouldn't have disregarded the truth."

"Miss Hartley, you're magnanimous. Please let us go."

"Miss Hartley, please come out and meet us."

The sounds of wailing and pleading continued incessantly, rising and falling.

The orchestra that was playing was completely dumbfounded. They looked at the shocking scene outside the gate with bewilderment. The music stopped!

The sounds of begging tore through the night and became even more piercing.

Inside the villa hall, everyone was stunned by this sudden change, staring at each other, not knowing what had happened.

"What's going on?" Dave asked in a deep voice.

"Are they here for me? I haven't gone out recently to bully anyone. Why are they begging me for mercy?" Matilda said in confusion.

Only Daniel quickly guessed a possibility, a strong sense of unease surging into his heart.

But, he was also filled with doubts and astonishment.

How could this be possible?

"Go out and take a look." Dave snorted and walked outside.

All the people of the Hartleys immediately followed him into the courtyard.

As they approached, the Hartleys members were shocked once again.

Outside the villa gate, there was a dense crowd that couldn't be counted for a moment. At the very least, there were over a hundred people. But this wasn't the end, more vehicles were rapidly approaching from the distance. People were also rushing madly towards this side.

All the people were kneeling on the ground, banging their heads like garlic, tears streaming down their faces, as if they had just escaped from hell.

What's going on?

The members of the Hartleys were shocked and astonished, unable to figure out what had happened.

At this moment, a man in his fifties, with a big belly, separated from the crowd and ran over.

Dave was taken aback and quickly went forward to greet him, "Minister Denver, why are you here?"

Noah Denver was the local Director of Information and Communication. He was in charge of all the news and media platforms in Lisle.

Noah was sweating profusely and did not even spare Dave a glance.

"Where's the person? Where's Miss Hartley? Move, everyone move!"

Noah rushed to the front of the crowd, didn't see the person he was looking for, and shouted anxiously.

Matilda quickly stepped forward and said, "I'm here, are you looking for me? What's going on with these people kneeling at my doorstep, begging for my forgiveness?"

Noah glanced at Matilda, disdainfully saying, "Not you, move aside."

Matilda was stunned, wondering, "Aren't you looking for Miss Hartley? There's only me as Miss Hartley in the Hartleys. Besides me, who else could there be..."

Matilda's voice suddenly stopped, and she realized something. She looked shocked and asked, "You, are you looking for Katie?"

Noah impatiently shouted again, "Make way!"

The members of the Hartleys immediately stepped aside, revealing the three members of the Drake family who were squeezed behind the crowd.

Noah's eyes lit up as he rushed to Katie and urgently asked, "Excuse me, are you Miss Katie?"

Katie nodded in confusion, "I am, may I ask who you are..."

"I'm Noah Denver, you can call me 'Noah.' Today, I mainly want to apologize to you and ask for your forgiveness for my work negligence." Noah said with a forced smile.

The members of the Hartleys were instantly terrified!

Was Noah really here to replace Katie?

What did he just say?

Begging for Katie's forgiveness? His work negligence?

He is the Minister head in Lisle; how could he say such things?

Stepping back, even if he did neglect his duty, it's not appropriate for him to seek forgiveness from Katie. He should be asking the city mayor or the Information and Communication Minister in the provincial capital. In any case, it's absolutely out of place for him to seek forgiveness from Katie.

Katie was also surprised and couldn't believe it. She asked, "Minister Denver, what did you say? I didn't hear it clearly."

Noah's heart trembled. What did this mean? She was obviously angry and unwilling to forgive him.

Without hesitation, Noah knelt down with a thud.
