Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 97

Joseph readily handed over his phone.

All of Daniel's transactions and dealings were recorded, every transfer, every discussion about the "pig-killing scheme," and the specific details of the plan.

The truth finally came to light! Gemma stared wide-eyed, unable to believe it as she stared at Daniel, "Daniel, you... it's really you?"

"Why did you do this? Are you trying to force our family to death?"

"I've been thinking well of you all along, always thought that you and our Yu'er were a natural match. Six years ago, we were the ones who wronged you, but I never expected... never expected..."

"Spit! You beast with a human face and a beast's heart, you've harmed our whole family, and you hypocritically lent us money, even daring to let me mortgage the house."

"Take back your filthy money!"

Gemma slammed the bank card onto Daniel's face and spat at him.

Daniel sneered and said, "Hehe, now that you all know, what difference does it make if I admit it?"

"Do you blame me for designing your family? Just take a look at what kind of people your family is. If Katie is willing to hand over the resort's construction project earlier, do I need to go to such lengths to design all this?"

"I did all this for the development of the Hartleys. What's wrong with that? As for you, over the years, besides dragging down the Hartleys and making them a laughingstock, what else have you achieved?"

Beside him, Matilda immediately agreed, "Daniel is right. All of this was done by your own family."

"Especially Katie, not listening to Grandpa's arrangements, holding onto such a big project on her own, and even causing my brother to be arrested and thrown into prison." "Your family is a disaster, a jinx!"

Gemma trembled with anger. She had compared Adam and Daniel more than once, looking down on Adam in various ways. But now, she realized that Daniel was the real scum. Clearly, they were the ones committing various wrongs, almost causing her whole family to die tragically. Now, they showed no remorse and were still self-righteous? On what basis?!

Just because they had money?

While Gemma loved money, she wasn't as crazy and morally bankrupt as them.

"You shameless scum!" Gemma shouted, unable to hold back the grievances of many years. Her eyes were red, tears streaming down her face.

"How much have we done for the Hartleys all these years? What have you ever given us?"

"Clearly, both are sons. Why can Terry be the general manager, and my husband can only be a security guard? Why can Peter be the successor, and my daughter can only suffer bullying?"

"In such a big company, you've made so much money. Have you given us a single cent? You're afraid we'll compete for the family assets, always suppressing us. But now we're not fighting anymore. Why won't you let our family go?"

"I've been in the Hartleys for so many years, never had a good day. I've endured everywhere, even helped discipline my daughter. But what about you? You keep pressing us, not leaving us any way out."

"And you! As a parent, you've always been biased, favoring sons over daughters. You don't even care about your own son's life or death. Are you worthy of being a father or a grandfather?"

Years of grievances and anger erupted at once. Gemma cried heartbreakingly, blood traces on her forehead flowing down her face, creating a shocking scene.

Trey continued to pound the ground in resentment, feeling helpless.

"Mom! Please stop talking," Katie cried as she embraced Gemma.

"Grandma," Annie also held onto Gemma's thigh, and the three of them cried loudly.

However, the rest of the Hartleys showed no emotions, as if all of this had nothing to do with them.

Only Dave, staggering backward a few steps, turned around with a dull expression, preparing to leave.

Suddenly, Matilda shouted, "Grandpa, please don't go. Daniel did all this for the sake of our Hartleys. Help him say a few words."

Dave stiffened, slowly turned around, and said, "I'm tired. Let's end this matter here."

"Daniel used the wrong methods, but in the end, he did it for the Hartleys!"

"So, tomorrow, I'll have the finance department transfer one million to you. You can buy a house with it, consider it as compensation for your mental distress!" Matilda exclaimed, "No, one million is too much. At most fifty... no, thirty thousand."

"Hehe!"

Adam sneered, saying sternly, "Thirty thousand? You expelled my wife, almost drove my father to his death, and you want to settle with this little money? Do you think I care about your measly sum?" "And now, you still want to defend him, this son-in-law of yours? You think he's good, that everything he did was for the Hartleys? I'll show you what he has done in the provincial capital!" "Is he really for the Hartleys, or is it for himself?"
