Chapter 348-

At the gazebo in front of the villa, the three people waited for Cherise. Eugene warmly offered them food and drinks. By now, the three men weren't afraid of the tiger anymore.

"Dr. Garcia, is there anything wrong with our Mrs. Chivers? She's been inside for almost half an hour." Hugh asked with some concern, glancing at the time on his phone. Eugene handed him some grapes and said, "Don't worry. My mentor is a good person. Just ask around in Larkston. Everyone knows him. Besides, Mrs. Chivers doesn't seem like someone who would be easily bullied."

Crow exclaimed, "Wow, bro, you really have sharp eyes. Everyone else is fooled by her looks, but you're the first to see the truth. My boss is indeed exceptional with her combat skills."

The scene of the four men chatting and laughing was quite harmonious. Meanwhile, Cherise was pushing Carson up to the second floor, arriving at the study he had mentioned.

Inside the villa, an elevator had been installed for his convenience, making it easy to move between floors.

Before Carson's study, Cherise froze for a moment when she saw the door. This door had the same design as her grandma's secret room. The difference was, her grandma's door had a password, while Carson's could be opened directly.

"Come on, push me inside, Carson instructed. Cherise obediently stood behind him and pushed him into the room. The study was bright and spacious. Aside from the large floor-to-ceiling window, the walls were lined with neatly stacked shelves of books, all meticulously arranged. The natural light was excellent, offering a stunning view of the artificial lake below.

In the center of the study stood a large desk, on which lay a yellowed piece of paper. The characters written in ink were so elegant and beautiful that they almost looked oddly familiar to her.

"You must have a deep understanding of the Book of Diets, right Cherise asked when she saw the contents of the paper.

Carson looked at her kindly. "You could say that, but not exactly

"How so?" Cherise asked again.

*The universe has its balance, the earth has strength and softness humanity holds kindness and justice. The Book of Diets is integrated into every aspect of life, always bringing new things, so you'll never truly finish learning it, Carson explained Cherise understood and gave a slight smile. "Impressive!" she said with genuine admiration.

Carson nodded. "Help me grab the books from the ninth row, thirteenth column on the left shelf"

"Alright," she agreed, though unsure why, but still obediently fetched them.

After Cherise finished gathering them, Carson said, "Open it and take a look. Sit down, it's tiring to stand."

Cherise nodded, sat by the desk, and opened the books. Upon opening the first one, she suddenly looked up at Carson. Then the second, third, until she reached the tenth.

It's him. No wonder the writing on the desk and at the clinic seemed so familiar, Cherise thought. She tried to control her trembling hands, curling them tightly.

It was clear that; aside from the time Morris had the accident in Manesia, it was rare to see Cherise showing any nervousness.

Carson saw her flip through the books and smiled knowingly. "Cherise, you've figured it out, haven't you?"

Cherise stood up and took a few steps toward Carson. "Mr. Garcia, please accept my bow!" With that, she knelt down and gave him a deep bow.

"What are you doing? Nowadays, there's no need for such formalities. Quickly, stand up. Besides, my child, that's all your own talent." Carson said with a hint of tenderness on his face. He wanted to help her up, but his body restricted him Cherise looked up, not wanting to embarrass him, and politely apod up. Looking at him, she spoke with gratitude. "So all the extracurricular books my grandma had me read over the years were written by you

"Traditional medicine, acupuncture, clinical anatomy, combat skills, Book of Diets analysis, architectural design, pharmacy, and all the musical scores.

"My grandma told me she picked them up from a trash heap. I did have my doubts, but strangely, I could never trace their origin.

"Today, after seeing the notes in these ten books, I finally understand why I could never replace anything before."

Carson felt a bit embarrassed and said, "It wasn't just my effort, my child. You have a natural talent and a willingness to learn."

"I just delivered the books to you. But if you have no aptitude, you can't really understand what I've written. Other kids would have turned them into paper airplanes a long time ago,

"Honestly, I only tried my luck. I happened to get it right. It's forminate that a few of my books led to the making of à renowned professor at Betrico University and an esteemed architectural designer.

"Look at Eugene. He's been stuck in that small clinic in Larkston for so many years." With that, Carson burst out laughing. which eased the tension significantly.

Cherise saw that the atmosphere was more relaxed and spoke up, "Without the guidance of these books, I wouldn't have achieved what I have today. So, Mr. Garcia, why did you suddenly leave Saphira back then? "Why did you keep in touch with my grandma? And how much do you know about her true identity?"

Normally, such a barrage of questions would annoy anyone. Thankfully, Carson wasn't bothered at all and smiled. "My chil why do you ask so many questions at once?

"You just addressed me so politely, but now you've become so casual with me? Luckily, I have plenty of time. Now, have a seat. You've grown up and have a family now. I'll answer all your questions one by one." 甘
