Sophie Kenwick's words made Xyla Quest feel increasingly curious about the god she had mentioned.

Why was he helping her?

Why did it have to be Sophie?

"Why did it have to be you?" Xyla asked.

Sophie shook her head. There was a brightness in her eyes. "I don't know either."

"I asked him a lot of questions, but he wouldn't answer any of them. He either said he couldn't reveal heavenly secrets or that I would naturally replace out when the time is right." Sophie's eyes suddenly lit up after she finished her sentence.

"Oh, right. He mentioned..." Sophie trailed off.

"What?" Xyla asked.

"He mentioned I would receive a special reward once I've done well enough, but he didn't tell me specifically what it was," Sophie said.

"I kept asking for more details, and he replied that it was something I greatly desired. After that, he left."

The more Xyla heard, the more mysterious she found this god.

Xyla believed that there should be a special reason why Sophie was the one sent to help her.

As for what the reason was, Xyla would only be able to replace out once the god showed up in the future.

If it was meant to be, Xyla would meet that god sooner or later.

"To be honest, I don't want anything. I just want to return to my father's side, but that isn't possible. After all, that was a long time ago, and I can't possibly go back." Sophie released a long sigh after finishing her sentence, making Xyla study her face carefully.

When Sophie made certain faces, she looked like a child.

She was like a naive kid who missed her loved ones and the past.

Xyla could relate to that as she had experienced it before, too.

"The god also said I had to give you all of my funeral goods," Sophie added.

"What? Why?"

Sophie shook her head. "I don't

know. He said these things belonged the first place. Anyway, I

to you

ive these things to you, or I

will vanish."

Xyla was speechless.

"That's why everything here is yours, Master," Sophie said with an earnest look in her eyes.

Xyla felt even more confused now.

What on earth was this?

Why did Sophie's things belong to her?

Were they somehow related in their past lives?

The more she thought about this, the more confused she felt.

Suddenly, Xyla remembered Stanley Batton and the others were outside. "You have to let me out quickly Otherwise, the people outside will worry about me."

Sophie nodded before blinking. "Yeah, I thought so, too. However, before you leave, I have a question for you."

"Yes, go ahead," Xyla urged.

"I want to stay by your side to protect you. Will you take me in, Master?" Sophie asked.

"Of course," Xyla replied.

"In that case, I'll let you leave.

However,

out

I must hide first. If I waket

you like this, the people out there will be horrified," Sophie said.

"Yes, okay," Xyla agreed.

"Once you've returned safely, I'll come to you," Sophie said.

After that, Sophie disappeared before Xyla, but as she did so, the corpse in the coffin returned to its original state.

Xyla felt even more impressed by Sophie when she saw this.
