I froze, now heat racing as if time had stopped at that moment. I bent down and carefully picked up the paper crane, which lay quietly in my palm as i telling avantinished story.

Only Ethan and I understood the significance of this paper crane. Its sudden appearance here meant that he had been here, or perhaps he was somewhere nearby, silently watching my every move.

I looked around; the crowd bustled about, everyone preoccupied with their own affairs, completely unaware of the crane in my hand. Yet, I could feel a strong gaze

so intense that I couldn't ignore it.

"Why did you pickoop a paper crane? Do you like these little things?" William was the typical man, oblivious to the deeper significance behind the crane. His confusion was evident as he looked at it.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm the excitement rising r within me.

The crane's presence reattinned that my previous feelings were not mere illusions. "It's not that; it just reminds me of an old friend. It's hard to see him again, especially in a foreign land."

I didn't believe he would actually be here, yet all signs suggested he was, Had Ethan really come to this place?

Was all of this just a coincidence, or was he doing it on purpose?

I held the paper crane tightly, determined to uncover the truth. But in this unfamiliar country, how was I supposed to search for someone who might only exist in my imagination?

"I know you might be feeling homesick. Don't think too much about it. You have us here, right? Let's just grab some food first." Gabrielle carried a tray filled with various delicacies, and I could only nad in agreement.

Some emotions should be kept hidden, not displayed openly. So, I learned to conceal my feelings like a mature adult.

After lunch, 1 returned to the classroom and carefully placed the crane in my drawer. I lasew this paper crane would be the key to unraveling all these mysteries However, during the aftemoon classes, I couldn't focus at all; everything just went in one ear and out the other. It felt as if I were under some spell, unable to concentrate on any studies, which left me feeling both restless and anxious.

When the bell rang for class to end, I didn't pack my books as usual; instead, I sat there blankly, my gaze wandering around the classroom

The crane's secret loomed over me like a fog, suffocating my thoughts.

William and Gabrielle noticed my unusual behavior. They exchanged a glance, and William gently tapped my shoulder, "What's wrong? You look a bit out of it," shook my head, mask my inner turmoil with a smile, "Nothing, just a bit tired."

But my smile was more pitiful than a frown.

Gabrielle sighed softly, offering, comforting words. "It there's anything, just tell us, We're here for you.

Dlooked at the gratefully, though my heart telt heavy with bitterness. I sew that even if I shared the story of the crane with them, they wouldn't understand its deeper meaning Afterall, it was a secret between me and Ethan, one that only we could comprehend.
