The Guqin opened the Dead City's gate.

Apart from Yukia's message, James did not obtain anything from the Dead City.

Her words were profound, and James could not figure out the meaning behind them yet.

After he took out the Guqin, a magical power emerged, and the Dead City vanished, dispersing into the air as black Demonic Energy. James glanced around and found that he stood in the plains.

The plains were full of various poisonous grasses.

If he had not seen it himself, James would not believe an ancient city had been right at this spot.

Initially, he set out on his journey with three companions. However, he was the only one left now.

James felt sad about the loss.

Although he did not know them for long and had little attachment to them, he was sad to have to spend the rest of the journey alone.

He picked out a direction and continued walking toward the depths of Mount Nothingness.

""Mr. Caden!"

Suddenly, James heard a voice calling out to him.

He turned around and saw three people approaching him.

It was none other than Hadrian, Herbert, and Mia who was supposed to have turned into skeletons and crumbled into dust.

The three quickly rushed toward him.

"G-Guys?!"

James' eyes widened in shock.

Noticing James' baffled expression, Mia asked. "What's wrong, Mr. Caden?"

James asked. "Are you three alright?"

The three of them were taken aback and confused by James' words.

Hadrian tilted his head confusedly. "By the way, why did the Dead City suddenly disappear?"

James returned their perplexed looks with one of his own.

"Don't you guys know what happened?" asked James.

Mia shook her head, not knowing what James meant. She replied, "You told us to wait in the distance so we waited for you to come back. However, you never returned, so we came over to check on you.

However, the Dead City was gone When we arrived."

Hadrian and Herbert nodded at her words.

Her words did nothing to clarify things for James.

'Didn't they follow me into the Dead City?

dream? Or was it all just in vel

everat's happening? Was

everything fake? Was it just a

head?'

James was slightly confused.

He recalled Yukia's words.

"Everything is an illusion. Nothing is real."

'Could her words refer to this bizarre situation? Was she trying to tell me something?' James could not make heads or tails of anything.

He dismissed the questions swirling

in his head and said, "I'm not sure why the Dead City disappeared. When I arrived to investigate it, it already disappeared. Since there's nothing in our way, let's keep moving and replace out what kind of challenges avait us further into Mount Nothingness."

The three nodded.

The disappearance of the Dead City was ultimately a stroke of luck since they could not enter it.

James turned around and kept moving forward.

The three followed behind him and silently discussed the disappearance of the Dead City.

"This so strange. How could such a huge city just disappear?"
