The Pre-RFL years follows the story ofa high school football quarterback, Jess, and his intellectual girlfriend Carly intertwined witha little organized crime background and damaging CDC reports concerning football by Dr.Isabelle Mendoza. Jess ends up in a coma after a brutal hit on the field. In the new RFL,Reynolds, the nephew of mafia boss Dano Verlucci, builds a new team of robot players, butrecruits two human players, Jess (still in a coma but revived by an unethical scientist to playmuch like a robot), and Antwan (former soldier with prosthetics for legs and 1 arm) to goundercover as robotic players.
