Chapter 105: As soon as Allison left the Stevens family villa, she dialed Gordon, her voice cutting the line with an icy edge.

Some sign of Keanu already.

She'd been too preoccupied before to notice the blatant lies, but she didn't have time to think about the fact that she'd fallen for them.

Keanu's health, on the other hand, was no small matter.

Gordon quickly thumbed through his records and was quick to report his replaceings.

Mr.

Stevens is on Etron.

He seems to actively avoid the rest of the family and spend time alone.

He's perfectly healthy, no medical problems to report.

Gordon laughed amused.

Not only is he fine, but he is quite agile for his age.

He's even signed up for a ski trip.

Allison let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding.

At least Keanu was okay, which was all that really mattered.

She assumed she had gone abroad out of frustration over her divorce from Colton.

With a sigh of resignation, she accepted that some things weren't meant to be.

She and Keanu, despite everything, were never meant to be a family.

Back home, she started packing her bags.

Rebecca, as always, was one step ahead, organizing everything as if they were preparing for a big event.

Allison rubbed her temples in slight frustration.

I'm just moving, not evacuating.

Why it seems like we're preparing for the end of the world.

When Allison had moved to the Green family villa, she hadn't brought much, but now it seemed like her belongings had multiplied during her stay there.

Rebecca had gone so far as to pack unopened kitchen utensils.

"I'm just worried that you live alone, and it's really not that bad," Rebecca replied, unfazed, her hands quick as she went back through the boxes.

She was only doing this out of concern for Allison's well-being, and she wasn't going to let Allison move in unprepared.

Okay, but just so you know, everything here is from me.

If you try to refuse, I will be angry.

Before Allison could argue, Rebecca called her to help her load the car.

Come on! I'm going to help you move whether you like it or not.

When they arrived at the house near Muisvedo, Allison understood exactly what Kellan had meant when he said the house's security was top-notch.

It was armored.

The town was an impenetrable fortress, comfortably nestled between towering skyscrapers.

The entire area was dotted with high-end private clubs - the kind only the rich and famous could afford - which was why security was so tight.

Most people couldn't even set foot on this street.

The villa itself was grander than Allison had imagined.

Luxurious touches adorned every corner, from the elegant neoclassical façade to the pristine courtyard fountain, a miniature replica of the one at Bellagio.

In a word, the place could easily be mistaken for a royal palace.

Three hundred a month for this Rebecca raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile on her lips.

He had assumed the rent was for a luxury apartment, not a villa fit for royalty.

Kellan isn't supposed to be a business genius Why is he offering such a terrible price for his own property No one will believe he rents This place for only three hundred bucks.

Allison rolled her eyes and was already dialing Kellan's number.

Enough already! "You're just doing me a favor for your niece," he replied, rejecting Rebecca's playful advances as he listened to the line ring.

As soon as the call was connected, she came to her senses and said, Thank you, Mr.

Lloyd.

I'm on property and the rate you gave me is a real bargain.

With a chuckle, Kellan's voice sounded nonchalant.

Why are you thanking me? If anything, I should thank you for the medicine.

“Anyway, you're free tonight.

I'd like to take you out to dinner.

” Allison heard Rebecca's audible gasp beside her.

Rebecca tugged at his sleeve, her expression saying more than words could: You still think nothing's going on between the two of you.

Trying not to laugh, Allison cleared her throat.

Mr.

Lloyd, you have already done a lot with that generous discount.

I couldn't impose more on him.

Really, it hasn't been any trouble….

His laugh was soft, trying to gently reject her offer.

But Kellan didn't let himself be carried away so easily.

Spinning a small contraption between his fingers, he leaned back in his chair, a slow smile spreading across his face.

It's not just about dinner, he began, the amusement in his voice undeniable.

I forgot to mention that the villa is equipped with the latest security system.

Any intruder will activate an alarm that will notify the Lloyd Group.

The only drawback is that I have the control panel.

I'll have to leave it.

Allison paused.

It was a good excuse, very good.

He bit his lip, knowing he couldn't get away from this one.

"Then I guess I'll see you tonight, Mr.

Lloyd.

" As soon as he hung up, Rebecca broke into a wide smile, practically bouncing on her heels.

Well, it looks like Mr.

Lloyd is having dinner tonight.

He linked his arm with Allison's, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Come on, hurry up and finish unpacking! We have just enough time to go shopping for new clothes.

We haven't had a girls' day in ages.

Allison smiled, realizing how long it had been since she'd taken a break from work.

Okay, okay, he said with a smile.
