Chapter 681 Destroy One's Mind Rather Than One's Body
"My dad said that my mom lost control when she heard it. She called him in tears. Then the accident happened when she drove home herself."
Obviously, Colleen was stimulated by what had happened to Cameron in those two years. So she lost control and had a
crash.
Nina was sad and angry at the same time. She even started to shiver.
Cameron explained to her last time. He could have gone back home two years earlier, but his tutor needed him to help with
the research. She never knew what had happened to Cameron in those two years.
She found the truth so excruciating that she needed to hold Cameron tight, let alone Colleen.
It was her son. How could she remain calm?
Melanie was the indirect perpetrator!
Thinking of this, Nina looked up at Edwin and asked, "Edwin, Can you let your men replace out where Melanie is?"
"No problem." Edwin made a call while driving. Soon someone replied.
"Let them take her to the hospital." Nina said coldly.
"OK"
Nina clenched her teeth. She promised she would slap Melanie hard. No, it was not enough. It was ok if Colleen's life was
not in danger. If anything happened to Colleen, they could never retaliate enough.
She was not good-tempered. Moreover, Melanie had crossed the line.
Nina hadn't meet Melanie yet because she was busy filming recently. She could tell that Melanie was a spoiled girl
according to the rumors, but she didn't see that Melanie would lead them to so much trouble.
Having arrived at the hospital, Nina hurriedly said thanks to Edwin. Then Nina and Cameron hastened to get off and go to the emergency room. They were holding hands the whole time.
Cameron didn't say anything after he got on the car. Nina could feel he was nervous and restless. After all, it was his parent, his mom.
When they arrived at the door of the emergency room, the whole Dauster family was already there, including the haggard Randall Dauster, the Donovan couple and Cameron's grandparents. They were all waiting anxiously.
Randall was so worried that he collapsed into the chair. He didn't have the energy to talk to Cameron and Nina.
Joshua went up to them. "It was not too bad. Her life was not in danger. But her arms were hurt badly. It's possibly her arms were broken."
Nina and Cameron drew a relieved breath. It was lucky that her life was not threatened.
Cameron touched his forehead, gently leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. He tried to ease his anxiety accumulated on the way here.
Though he and Colleen had quarreled over Nina, he only fall out with her once till now. Now they had made it up. His relationship with his parents had long been intimate and harmonious. Colleen meant a lot to him. He couldn't imagine what if something happened to her.
Nina hugged Cameron gently. She looked up and saw Melanie Blanchard who was shivering in the corner. She was so irritated that she forgot to greet other Dausters. She went directly to give her a slap.
Melanie didn't expect her to be so aggressive. She was slapped down to ground without any defense.
"What are you doing?" Melanie yelled, her hand covering her face
She had never been slapped. Especially the one beat her was Nina, who was intimate with Cameron. She was furious. "What am I doing?" Nina sneered. She went up and pulled Melanie up by holding her hair. Nina slapped her again. "You'll
never be afraid unless the lesson is learned."
Nina hit hard. The slap could be heard clearly in the quiet corridor. Cameron's grandparents paused. Even Joshua and his wife looked at Nina in surprise.
But Valerie soon supported Nina. "Nice. If I was younger, I would've given that bitch a slap too." She whispered. Though she was old, she was rather tough. Calling Melanie "bitch" could show that how much they hated her.
Cameron's grandparents almost freaked out after hearing that Colleen had a car crash and was sent to the hospital.
What they were most afraid of at this age was to see the younger generation die before them.
Fortunately, the doctor just informed them that Colleen's life was not in danger. They had recovered a bit from the shock. Otherwise, they would tear Melanie up.
After Nina's two hard slaps, Valerie finally worked off her anger.
She didn't think Nina was wrong. Instead, she liked Nina even more. She loved Nina's strong personality.
"Wait..." Joshua got it together and tried to stop Nina. But he was stopped by Cameron.
"I'm afraid that Nina might get hurt. What if Melanie fight back?" Joshua explained.
"She won't." Cameron said without hesitation.
He knew how agile she was. Melanie wouldn't gain any advantage. What's more, she had been coached by professionals when she was shooting the military drama.
Joshua didn't make any further move after he saw Cameron's attitude and that Nina had gained an upper hand.
Cameron didn't walk up either. He knew Nina could handle it. He also knew Nina needed to vent in this way.
Melanie didn't gain any advantage. With her hair pulled by Nina, she couldn't move. Once she moved, she felt as if Nina would peel off her scalp. Melanie could do nothing but to cover her head with both hands and scream.
"He had stayed abroad for two years to save you father. He suffered so much to release you father from the terrorists.
"You almost killed his mom because of your selfish desire.
"Are you still a human, Melanie?
"You think you are qualified to say you love him?"
Nina became more and more irritated. She pulled Melanie's hair even more tightly. Melanie burst into tears.
"I don't want to hurt his mom. I just wanted her to suffer a bit. So you and Cameron will also suffer from it."
Melanie listened to Rebecca. She intended to tell Colleen what happened to Cameron.
Rebecca said it was better to torture someone's mind rather than body.
Since now they couldn't revenge on Cameron and Nina, they wanted to torture their mind. They targeted at Cameron's family to implement the plan.
