Chapter 110
Winston was stunned. He couldn’t believe that she had actually blocked him.
He called Millie right away but discovered that his number was also blocked when he attempted tocall but couldn’t reach her. He instantly felt upset and overwhelmed with anger.
She was so bold that she even dared to block him. Moreover, she was perfectly fine while eatingjust now. So why did she suddenly lose her mind when she went to the bathroom? Wasn’t she theone who used to want to be with him every day?
Winston glared at Millie’s half–finished meal on the table, feeling annoyed. He strode up and walkedout. At the cash register, the boss said, “Mr. Greer, Mrs. Greer has already settled the bill.”
Winston was even more frustrated. He felt humiliated that his own wife paid the bill when they wentout to eat together.
“When did she leave?” Winston asked coldly.
The boss glanced at the clock and replied, “Fifteen minutes ago.”
Fifteen minutes ago? Winston retrieved his phone and checked his call log. Wasn’t that the exacttime when he was engaged in conversation with Joanna?
Did she overhear him conversing with Joanna on the phone? Did jealousy or anger set in,prompting her to block him through all means?
After thinking about it, Winston’s anger gradually faded. He realized that she was simply playinghard
to get.
“Miss, there seems to be a car following us.” Millie was just about to fall asleep when she heard thecab driver speaking.
Millie opened her eyes and glanced back, spotting a Rolls–Royce. She immediately recognized it asthe Lowell family’s car.
“It’s alright, sir. Just drive as usual.” Millie told the driver to focus on driving.
The driver nodded. “Okay.”
Joanna sent someone to follow her. What was she afraid of? Did she fear that Winston, whom shefirmly believed loved her, would develop feelings for his ex–wife and decide not to marry her?
In the Rolls–Royce, Joanna seethed with anger as she thought about Winston’s actions of sendingher home and returning to Millie. Moreover, it happened more than once.
Winston belonged to her, and she was determined to be a part of the Greer family. She would notlet anything stop her.
If Millie and Winston couldn’t separate through divorce, then Joanna would have to employ somecunning strategies. The thought made her grasp her fists tightly, her gaze turning even icier.

In the early morning, a Maybach stopped in front of Yerwick Men’s Prison. In the visiting area, aprison guard escorted a man in his 40s with a scraggly beard.
“No. 2823, he’s your visitor,” the prison guard reminded 2823.
2823 lifted his head. In the vacant visiting room, a man in a black suit stood tall with his back facinghim. 2823 asked, “Who are you?”
Winston slowly slid his hands into his pockets and turned, locking eyes with the exhausted man. Ina moment of realization, the man’s eyes widened before swallowing hard.
It was Winston, the man he kidnapped. He had been sentenced to life imprisonment and wouldspend the rest of his days behind bars because of it.
Not only that, but he also had his little finger chopped off on the very first night he arrived. Winstonwas truly terrifying.
Winston struggled to contain his anger. Just the sight of that man reignited his desire to kill him. Ifhe hadn’t been saved in time, the consequences would be disastrous.
“One question. Answer me truthfully,” Winston said, placing his hands on the table and leaning in tolook at the man.
The man’s teeth were clenched, his chest tightened, and his shoulders shook as he looked atWinston. He tugged at his collar, and the handcuffs emitted a sharp click. “Okay.”
Winston whispered, “Do you remember who followed you to rescue me?”
