Chapter 160

Millie’s tiny waist was something to behold. Her curves swayed as she strutted; it was eye–catching.

“Hey, isn’t she Millie Caldwell?”

“She is as pretty as the A–listers.”

“Thomas, will I ever see the day when you get her to enter the industry?”

The guests gossiped and joked at Thomas and Millie.

Thomas shot them a playful glare. Holding Millie’s hand, he addressed everyone, “I don’t think weneed an introduction here.”

The guests laughed raucously. “Of course! Everyone knows Millie Caldwell.”

Millie smiled warmly at them. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry for crashing your party last minute.”

“Don’t fret about it. Let’s take a seat!” One of the producers pointed at the table, motioning Millie tosit.

She nodded and settled into her seat alongside Thomas.

Thomas and the producers had a discussion about the preparation for a period drama. As acompany owner, Thomas attempted to win the female lead role for the artist under his company.

The guests at the dinner were renowned figures in the entertainment industry, with an average ageof 50. Most of the guests were men. The few ladies in a..endance. seemed gentle and easygoing.

Millie didn’t interrupt the conversations. She sat and listened silently, curious to learn if theentertainment industry was indeed as problematic as rumored.

Halfway, someone took a seat by her side and handed her a glass of alcohol. “Ms. Caldwell, let’shave a drink together.”

She shook her head at the gentleman in his 50s. “I’m sorry, but I can’t drink because I’m drivingtoday.”

Thomas overheard the exchange and turned to look. He beamed at the man, saying,” Mr.Anderson, drink with me! I’ll take Mills‘ place!”

While speaking, Thomas took the glass from Gideon Anderson and downed the contents. Gideonsat there with a polite smile.

Later, he pouted at Thomas and said, “No one cares about drinking with you.

It was only fun drinking with women.

A female guest chimed in with a laugh, “Right, Tom. You’re no fun to drink with. Get Mills to drinkwith him!”

The woman, seemingly intending to persuade Millie to drink, added, “You should let loose sinceyou’re here! Drink up and have some fun!”

Thomas exchanged a glance with Millie as he started regretting bringing Millie to dinner. It hadn’toccurred to him that Millie was too attractive for the lustful producers to pass on her.

Thomas was riddled with remorse. Sensing his distress, Millie replied to the guests,” Sure.”

She said to Gideon, “Mr. Anderson, I’ll drink with you if that’s what you wish.”

Smiling, she poured herself a shot of vodka. However, she pushed the shot glass to Gideon. “I havea rule for those who’d like to drink with me.”

“A rule?” Gideon’s interest was piqued. The more mysterious a lady conducted herself, the moreinterested he became.

Pointing at the glass, she said in an amused drawl, “Have a drink. Prove your sincerity to me.”

Gideon couldn’t stifle a laugh. “Why do I need to prove my sincerity? We’re just drinking.”

“Oh, you might not know, but there are many rules in drinking.”

he contents. “You’ll be looking Millie poured another glass of vodka and swirled the contents. “You’llbe looking down on me if you refuse to drink. That means all you want is to get me drunk. However,if you downed the drink…”
