Walking Into the cells I grab the bucket of water tossing it on the bitch. She jerks awake, hereyes lazily peering up at me. Her face is hollow and gaunt looking. I smile at her before unlockingthe cell, the moment I do she exerts her last bit of energy trying to lunge at me. The chains rippingher backwards before she reached me.

I crouch on the ground in front of her, twirling the syringe in my fingers. The beauty ofmonkshood, all supernaturals are affected by it. Her eyes nervously watch as she knows what iscoming but instead I let her remain awake needing her alert enough to answer my questions.

"I will make you a deal, you answer my questions I will end your misery” I tell her. She closes hereyes, leaning her head on the brick wall behind her. She needed blood, the longer she goes themore her skin begins to turn petrified like aged wood turning to stone. Her age creeping in as shewithers away.

"I won't betray my family" she says, turning her face away. I stand walking out of the cell andwalk to the fridge before coming back with a blood bag. A feral snarl leaves her as she bares herfangs, hunger taking over her and the need for blood.

“Nothing related to family, I just have a general question” she stares at the blood bag. Hertongue sneaks out as she licks her dry lips.

"What's the question?" She asks her pained face distorting in her bloodlust.

"Say I want to compel a vampire, how do I do it?"

"You think you can compel Thaddeus into doing your bidding, it won't work?" She laughsbefore coughing.

"Humour me, how would you do it?"

"Jimsonweed, or betel nut," she answers.

"But they are hallucinogens”

"Still works in high doses, alters the brain the same making it easier to compel” she breathedout before making a pained groan.

"How long will it last”

"Depends how old the vampire is. It won't work long on Thaddeus maybe an hour at most andthat's if you're lucky and he would have to ingest the entire plant”

"Good thing I'm not after Thaddeus then" I tell her and her head rolls to the side to look at meI stand up reaching forward and she tries to lift her arms to stop me as I twist her neck snapping itand knocking her out cold for a few more hours. I quickly inject her making sure she stays under.

Walking out, I close the steel door and make a few phone calls to get what I need before takingthe next step in the master plan. Laura comes in just as I sit down at my desk in the basement.

"What time did you get back?" I ask her as she flops on the lounge.

"Just now Imogen closed up shop and wanted to look for her sister, Eve was in a bad mood sowe closed for the day” she goes to say something but stops herself.

"Speak, what is it?" I demand.

"I just, I don't think I can do it. They are good people, Demetri."

"They are monsters, don't be going soft Laura, don't lose sight of your goal. You wantimmortality, you do what I ask” I tell her and she falls silent.

"Yes but I don't think this is the right way Evelyn didn't do anything, neither did her daughter"she tries to argue.

"Come here little bird" I tell her and she grows tense, her fear perfuming the room. I take adeep breath relishing it.

“Now Laura my patience is running thin" she hesitantly Comes over and I tug her on my lap.Her hands reflexively went to my chest. I ran my finger down her neck stopping at her artery whichwas pulsing beneath her skin.

My gums tingling with my own desire to feed. "Please don't, it hurts" she whispers. I study herface tilting it up to my own before kissing her lips.

"It only hurts if I make it hurt" I tell her, “I don't want to hurt you but I will if you don't pleaseme" I tell her. Her heart beats erratically at my words.

"You don’t want to upset me do you?" I ask her and she shakes her head.

"Good, did you ask her to come out with you?" She nods her head yet I could see hernervousness, her fear. Rifling through her thoughts, I could see she genuinely liked the girl, andthought of her as a friend. I click my tongue annoyed.

"She is not your friend Laura, you can befriend anyone but them understood”

"Yes," she whispers softly and I pinch her neck she cries out and I could already see the purplebruise staining her delicate skin.

"I need you to do something for me" I tell her and she nods, tears filling her eyes.

"You need to take her out, then you need to drug her for me"

"I thought it was Thaddeus you were after,"

"It is but I need to destroy him first"

"But how?"

"By making him destroy the one thing he loves most, his mates”

"You're not going to hurt her are you?" She asks.

"No I will let him do that, I just need you to do as I say and you are one step closer to gainingyour immortality, did you do the other task I asked of you?" She nods.

"Yes, the bombs are in place and Matt checked them already” she says and I brush her cheeksoftly. I let my fangs slip out and I hear her suck in a breath, tears slipping down her cheeks as fearfloods her.

"Shh shh little bird you have been a good girl, I will be gentle” I tell her kissing her lips. Herbottom lip trembles against mine as I deepen the kiss. I turn her on my lap making her straddle me,my pants tightening as arousal floods me, her fear of me making me hard.

My hand goes into her hair as I pull her to the side exposing the delicate skin of her neck. Ipress my fangs against her throat and a sob slips past her lips. I run my tongue over her neck andshe shivers her fear perfuming the room but I would keep my promise, she has been rather goodlately. I sink my teeth into her neck, she cries out before she quiets a moan escaping her. Vastlydifferent reaction to her usuals screams as she gyrates her hips on mine. I lap at her neck, her bloodsoothing the hunger within me.

Pulling back I let her go. "Did that hurt?" She shakes her head, kissing me softly. I let her haveher way, kissing her back and feeling her hands go to my pants trying to undo my belt.
