Sinful Mates 1-3
chapter 31

“We need to head to bed soon, I have work in the morning,” Tobias states. I yawn suddenlyfeeling tired, it must be late. I go to say something but then stop not wanting a repeat of earlier. Ifollow them into the room and climb into bed. Tobias takes his shirt off and climbs in next to me.Theo turns a small lamp on and grabs a book before lying beside me. My eyebrows furrowconfused. “You're not tired?” I ask.

“Vampires don't sleep, Imogen”

“But I saw you sleep” I ask confused.

“No, we don't sleep, but we do get stuck in a trance which resembles sleep,” he tells me. Tobiasyawns next to me and pulls me against him.

“What do you mean?”

“Well, it's kind like being stuck in your own thoughts, becoming trapped in a way. You don'trealise time passing,” he says.

I would hate to be stuck in my own mind; it's my biggest critic, I couldn't imagine beingtrapped in it. “How long does it last?” Theo seems to think for a second before answering.

“My longest would be a month before Tobias pulled me out of it.”

“A month?” How lonely I thought. I reached out and draped my arm across his lap. It didn't takelong before I fell asleep.

“Is it because Theo hasn't marked me?” I ask, turning to Tobias.

“Yes, among other reasons that is the main one though.” This is ridiculous.

“I am not leaving you, Tobias; I won't take off I promise.”

“You're right, you won't take off because you're not leaving this property.” I look to Theo forhelp but he doesn’t seem to want to go against Tobias this time. I storm out of the room.

I make my way down to the kitchen and put the kettle on, making coffee. I then take my coffeeand sit outside on the wooden bench seat. Tobias walks out, my handbag in his hands. He drops iton my lap.

“I have your keys; you just want your clothes?”

I Ignore him looking in the other direction. “Imogen, what do you want from your apartment?”

“Fuck you, Tobias,” I tell him. He pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a breath annoyed.Theo walks out, and I ignore him too.

“I will send you a list of what she wants later, okay,” he says kissing Tobias on the cheek. I getup and walk inside, I hear Tobias speed off. I walk up the stairs and back to my prison. I lock thedoor and lay back in bed.

Ten Days later

I have been stuck here for ten days. I haven't spoken to either of them; I barely come out of theroom. The first few days they tried without luck, in every way possible, to get me to talk or react tothem. I know it is starting to get to them. Tobias has been a moody arsehole. He left three days agoand has been staying in the city, said my silence was driving him crazy. This house was driving mecrazy, so I guess he knows how it feels now. Theo on the other hand is always hovering. I feel hispresence everywhere I go, always watching. Always trying to get me to speak to him.

I was lying in bed when he walks in, “Breakfast, Imogen,” He sings out from the doorway. Iignore him and roll over turning my back on the door.

“It's been two days and you haven't left this room, Imogen. If you don't eat today, I will beforced to tell Tobias you haven't eaten.”

PFFT two days is that all it's been. I was starving but I knew I could last a lot longer. I refuse togive in. Either I get to go back to my normal predictable life, or I am not talking or eating, althoughit does smell nice. When he doesn't leave, I sit up and walk to the bathroom and hop in the shower. This place was a mansion, but it was starting to make me feel claustrophobic. Despite its size andhow beautiful the place was, it was still my prison. I have walked the property and the house somuch I am surprised I haven't actually walked tracks around the place. I thought about running butTheo is always right behind me wherever I go. The first day, I tried to convince him to just take mehome, but he wouldn't go against Tobias. This place with its no neighbours, no passing cars, nopeople was lonely. I like the hustle and bustle of the city, but mainly I like the people. Watching asthey go about their lives. I missed seeing Tom but mostly now that, I haven't spoken in over a week,I have been left to my own thoughts, and my mind always drifts to the one person I loved most inlife. My mother. My life suddenly felt lonely and small without her in it and having no one to ventmy problems to.

Getting out of the shower, I opened the door and Theo was leaning against it. I rolled my eyesand shoved past him. “Tobias is on his way home.” I freeze. I liked that he hasn't been here. Istruggle the most around him. He is so hot headed and so am I. It always turns into screamingmatch, or in my case at the moment, me just glaring at him. I chuck my clothes on just in time tohear him pull up. Theo leaves to see him, I quickly walk over and lock the door, hoping he won'twant to break it, the same as Theo and leave me alone. No such luck, I hear him walk up the stairs, his feet moving quick. He doesn't even knock, just kicks the door in.00000000000000
