“I'm not sure how long it will take. For shifters and vampires its instant, but you're human so thebond may take a bit to kick in. You will notice when it does, you feel drawn to us, be able to feelwhat we feel.”

Theo walked back in the room and laid on the bed next to Tobias. His hand going to my cheek,before resting his hand on Tobias's chest. I liked the way they were with each other; I didn't replace itweird or strange to me it was normal and made my heart swell with happiness.

“What are you talking about?”

“Just the mate bond.”

“Ah.” Theo searched my face for a second. I thought it was strange as I watched his eyes glazeover. Like he was looking straight through me.

“Don't think like that.” I tried to make sense of what he said when I realised.

“You can read my thoughts.” The thought horrified me. It was an invasion of privacy.

“Don’t be mad, he only wanted to know what was bothering you,” Tobias said.

“So, you can do it too?”

“No, just Theo. Vampire trick. I can feel what you feel but can't read your thoughts. Theo can doboth.”

I looked towards Theo. “It bothers you that much?” he asked.

“I like my thoughts private.”

“I will try not to do it.” I didn’t believe him but let it go, I wonder what else he has overheard inmy mind.

Tobias rolled me to the side between them before standing and grabbing some shorts, Theolooked up as well towards the window and Tobias quickly ran down the stairs leaving us.

“Where is he going?” I asked looking towards the window. I wasn't sure what they could hear orsee but I could only see the darkness of the night before, I heard tyres on the dirt driveway.

“We have visitors, get dressed.”

“Who?” I asked. Who would stop by so late at night?
