Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 744 Celebration for Julien's First Cooking
"They look tasty." Sydney commented as she turned back to Julien, whose head was resting on her shoulder.
"Really?" Julien averted his head towards her.
Sydney nodded, "Yes. Though the dishes are not well-decorated, they look delicious. For a beginner, you did a good job."
Sydney gave Julien a thumbs up.
She had thought Julien wouldn't be able to cook so well even if he had learned cooking, but now she realized she had underestimated him.
Sydney hadn't tasted the food yet. She wasn't sure how it tasted, but from the smell and color, she was sure they were yummy even if they weren't top notch. Hearing Sydney's praise, Julien curled the corners of his mouth.
He let go of her waist, pulled out a chair, and seated her in it. He then handed her the fork and urged, "Try it! Tell me how you like it."
"Okay." Sydney replied with a smile. She was also curious about how the dishes tasted.
Sydney took the fork. She looked hesitantly at the dishes on the table. She seemed to be wondering which one she should try first.
But she didn't hesitate for long. She made a quick decision and reach her fork for the nearest dish.
Julien had cooked three dishes, a roasted chicken, a tuna salad, and a soup of cream and mushroom.
These were all ordinary dishes that were seldom served on the Flint family's table.
Sydney guessed that Julien rarely ate the dishes he had cooked today, since he had a Michelin chef who specialized in a wide variety of delicious cuisines.
Usually, when Zach ordered meals for Julien, he only ordered from those fancy restaurants.
Therefore, Sydney was surprised when she just saw that Julien had cooked these ordinary dishes.
But after a thought about it, she guessed that all beginners should start with these most common dishes. She began to taste the food.
Sydney first tried the roasted chicken. As Julien watched, Sydney slowly took a bite of the roasted chicken.
"How is it?" Julien hurriedly asked. He pulled out a chair and sat down next to her.
Sydney was carefully chewing on the chicken. She didn't answer him right away. After she swallowed the chicken, she turned to Julien.
Julien looked as nonchalant as usual, but a hint of imperceptible nervousness was on his face.
Was he worried that she wouldn't like it?
Thinking about the possibility, Sydney smiled, "I can't tell you right now. I've only tried the chicken. I haven't tried the rest of them. I'll let you know after I've tried them all." "OK, take your time." Julien picked up his fork and got some salad on Sydney's plate.
Sydney tasted it.
Julien watched her eating it.
He didn't ask her again how it tasted, but as she ate, his brows furrowed more tightly, and his eyes showed a nervous look.
Noticing the tension on Julien's nerves, Sydney was amused.
She wondered if anyone other than herself could make Julien so tensed up.
In fact, Sydney was happy to see Julien get so nervous about her.
It showed that he cared about her.
After finishing the salad on her plate, Sydney put her fork down and grabbed a tissue to mop her mouth.
"Sydney," Julien called out. Obviously, he was waiting for her comment.
But Sydney deliberately ignored him. She picked up her glass of water and took a sip.
Julien tightened his lips and called again, his voice anxious, "Sydney!"
Sydney knew that Julien was expecting a comment from her. She smiled and stopped playing with him. She looked at Julien and said, "All right! I won't play with you anymore. Don't worry. I'm telling you right now."
"How do you like them?" Julien lifted his chin slightly and waited for her answer.
Sydney watched him for a few seconds, and then she gave him another thumbs up. "Very good!"
Looking at Sydney's gesture, Julien was relieved.
Although he had confidence in his cooking, he wasn't sure if Sydney liked it.
People had different tastes after all.
Luckily, she liked them.
Julien tried to resist his thrill, but he couldn't.
He had to clench his fist against his lips to hide his excitement and let out a soft cough. Then he said in a deliberately muffled voice, "I'm glad you like them. Have some more." Then he put a lot more food on her plate.
Sydney had a wry smile as she watched the food pile up on her plate. The corner of her mouth twitched.
However, Julien was so excited at the moment. He didn't even realize it was too much. He kept filling her plate with food.
Sydney hurriedly grabbed his wrist and stopped him, "That's enough! Stop it! I can't eat them all. I'm afraid I'm going to waste the food."
Julien glanced at her plate. His eyebrows were raised slightly. He then realized that he had put too much food on her plate.
Since Sydney had just praised him, he had become too proud. He lost his senses. He kept filling her plate. Before he knew it, it was too much.
Julien put the fork down. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize it. Don't worry. I'll eat the food you left. They won't be wasted."
Sydney rested her chin in one hand and smiled at him, "That's what you said."
"Yeah, sure." Julien nodded.
Sydney picked up her fork and placed some of the food on her plate onto his. "All right. Come on. You cooked the dishes. I shouldn't eat them alone. You should taste them, too. Thank you, darling." "It's okay." Julien responded, happiness in his voice.
Suddenly, something occurred to Sydney's mind, and she stood up.
Julien looked up at her, "What's wrong?"
"I remembered I had a bottle of wine." Sydney put down her fork and suggested. "Let's have a glass of wine! This is the first time you've cooked for me. We should celebrate it."
With that, Sydney turned to get the wine.
Julien grabbed her hand. "Don't bother. It's no big deal."
"Of course, it is." Sydney looked at Julien seriously, "This is the first time you've cooked for me, so we should celebrate it. We should celebrate our lives more often. Otherwise, life would be boring. I'm grateful that you cooked for me. Wait for me." Sydney then pulled her hand back and went towards the study.
Julien watched her back and gave a smile, infinite tenderness in his eyes.
What she had just said had touched his heart.
In a relationship, not only did women need to be worshiped, but men needed that, too.
Sydney valued everything he did for her. Even if it was just a meal, she wanted to celebrate it with him.
Julien was truly touched.
Soon, Sydney returned with the wine.
Julien took the wine, "Let me open it."
"OK. Here you go." Sydney handed him the wine and the opener.
It took strength to pull the cork out, so Sydney was happy to let Julien do it.
Julien read the description on the bottle when he opened it. With an exclamation, he said, "This is a nice wine."
