Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 772 Greta Stopped Julien in the Parking Lot
Julien froze. After a few seconds, he came back to his senses. He looked at Sydney with incredulous eyes, "What did you just say? You're going to the office with me?" "Yes." Sydney nodded her head.
After Sydney reassured him of her answer, Julien got excited. "Why do you want to go to the office with me?"
Sydney answered as she packed their things. "Because you're a patient."
Julien touched the bandage on his forehead, "It's no big deal."
He just hit the back of his head and bruised it a bit. He didn't need someone to take care of him.
"Who told you that?" Sydney removed his hand from his forehead, "You hit your head. What if you suddenly faint?"
Sydney wasn't sure about that. She didn't feel comfortable letting Julien go to the office by himself.
She knew Julien was always immersed in his work, which was not good for his health.
Therefore, Sydney decided to go to his office with him.
"I won't." Julien squeezed Sydney's hand, "I don't have a concussion. Why would I suddenly faint? You don't need to come to the office with me."
"Are you sure?" Sydney narrowed her eyes at him.
A hint of hesitation flashed across Julien's eyes. Two seconds later, he nods, "Yes."
Sydney rolled her eyes at him, "Don't lie to me. Actually, you want me there, don't you? Your eyes lit up when I said I was going to the office with you. And why did you hesitate just then?" Being seen through by Sydney, Julien gave an embarrassed look.
He was indeed excited when Sydney said she wanted to go to the office with him. But he didn't want her to know about it, so he acted cool.
However, Sydney saw right through him. Julien was actually looking forward to Sydney going to the office with him.
He was relieved when she nailed his lies.
Julien was just worried that Sydney would believe his lies and not go to the office with him. Then he would regret it.
Sydney didn't know what Julien was thinking. Seeing him remaining silent, she furrowed her delicate brows and urged, "Come on. Do you want me to go to the office with you or not? If you really don't want me there, I won't go."
Julien took her hand. He didn't say anything, but his meaning was obvious.
Sydney looked down at their interlocked hands and laughed, "You're funny. Why are you sometimes so rude but sometimes so shy?"
Julien let out a cough, "Things are different."
Sydney curled her lips, "Fine! I won't argue with you. Let's go!"
"OK." Julien nodded.
The two headed out of the hospital, holding hands.
Zach was waiting for them in the parking lot.
When Zach saw Julien and Sydney approaching, he put away his cell phone, walked up to them, and took Julien's bag.
Julien had only been in the hospital one night, so he didn't have a lot of stuff. Sydney brought some necessities to Julien last night. That was what was in the bag.
Last night when Sydney heard that Julien had been in an accident, she thought he was seriously injured and that he might be hospitalized for a few days, so she prepared some clothes and toiletries for him. However, Julien left the hospital the next day, and Sydney was relieved about this.
"Get in the car." Coming to the car, Julien opened the door for Sydney. She then got into the car.
Just then, someone approached them from behind, and a woman's gentle voice rang out, "Mr. Flint, there you are!"
At the woman's voice, Sydney's face darkened.
Zach also gave a look of disgust. He grumbled inwardly, 'Damn, why is she here? I've told her not to come back to Mr. Flint.'
Zach turned around. Seeing Greta in the wheelchair, he showed a furious look in his eyes.
'Disgusting woman! Why is she still here?
'She promised she'd leave. However, she kept waiting in the parking lot. Such a cunning woman!'
Zach had worked with Julien for many years and had met many women, but Greta was the most shameless one.
'Even Lyra wasn't as disgusting as her!'
Zach prayed quietly in his mind that Julien wouldn't get mad.
'I had told her to go.'
Zach looked at Julien.
Julien's eyebrows were furrowed, and her face was stern. Zach immediately tensed up.
'Mr. Flint is angry.
'Ms. Raines shouldn't be happy either.'
Zach cast a sly glance at Sydney, who also had a sullen face, and inwardly spat, 'Damn it!'
"Who are you?" Julien narrowed his eyes at the woman. He knew who she was, but he pretended he didn't recognize her. His voice was cold.
Sydney glanced at Julien. She was surprised that Julien didn't recognize the woman. Zach had told them that the person who caused their accident was a woman in a wheelchair. Even if Julien hadn't seen the woman's face, he would have recognized her from the wheelchair.
Julien knew exactly who this woman was, but he pretended he didn't. He was humiliating her. Sydney got out of the car and stood next to Julien. Her sullen mood was gone.
Greta didn't expect Julien to ask her who she was. She was stunned.
'He doesn't know who I am? Why?
'Zach must have told him about me.
'So now he's trying to embarrass me?'
Greta's face stiffened. She gripped the armrest of her wheelchair tightly. She was angry inside.
But she didn't show it. She quickly forced a smile, as if she wasn't embarrassed at all.
"Mr. Flint, it's nice to meet you. My name is Greta, and I'm the one who caused your accident last night." Greta looked up at Julien with a guilty face.
Sydney looked at Greta with contempt. She took Julien's hand and smiled at Greta, "Are you here to apologize?"
Greta's eyes fall on Sydney's clasped hands with Julien. Her eyes darkened for a moment, but soon she smiled, "Yes, I'm here to apologize to Mr. Flint."
Then she turned to Julien and gave an even more guilty look, "I'm sorry, Mr. Flint! If it hadn't been for me, you wouldn't have been hurt! It's all my fault! I'm sorry!" Greta bowed towards Julien. She looked very sincere as if she didn't expect Julien to forgive her.
Seeing how miserable she was, some men might have helped her up and forgiven her.
Sydney cast a warning glance at Julien as if she was saying, 'If you forgive her, I won't forgive you!
Julien smiled, "What are you thinking?" He flicked Sydney's forehead.
Sydney grunted, "Most men like vulnerable women. If you feel pity for her, you're screwed!"
