Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 792 Julien Was Like a Drug
Julien watched Sydney sleeping in his arms, he realized that he had exhausted her last night, and he felt regret.
He had been too passionate last night, but he was not to blame for that.
How could he control himself when he was doing the most intimate thing with the woman he loved?
Julien rubbed his brows. He intended to apologize to Sydney and buy her a gift when she woke up.
With his decision made, Julien carried Sydney up in his arms and headed for the bathroom. After giving himself and Sydney a brief shower, he took Sydney to bed and fell asleep right away. He held her in his arms the rest of the night.
But Julien didn't sleep for long. He woke up at about seven o'clock. He put on his clothes and took a shower. He dropped a kiss on Sydney's cheek and then quietly got out of the room. Then he left Shallow Bay.
At yesterday's meeting, Julien's proposal was passed unanimously. Certainly, he was going to be busy today.
He had to visit factories today, so he had to leave early in the morning. Otherwise, he would wait until Sydney woke up.
"Mr. Flint," Zach greeted Julien as he saw him, immediately crushing out his cigarette. He'd been waiting for Julien in the parking lot for a while.
Julien nodded to him and then instructed, "Tell Sean that Leaf will go to the office later."
Immediately, Zach understood what had happened. He grinned as he nodded, "Yes, Mr. Flint."
'Mr. Flint is incredible! He exhausted Ms. Raines last night. It must have been fervent last night.'
Hearing Zach's grin, Julien cast a cold glance at him.
Sensing that Julien saw through what he was thinking, Zach immediately regained his composure and got serious. He let out a cough, "Sorry, Mr. Flint, my throat isn't feeling well." Julien ignored him and got in the car.
Zach hurriedly got into the car, too. As he was buckling his seat belt, Julien ordered from the back seat, "Tell the hotel to prepare breakfast for delivery to Shallow Bay at almost 9:00 a.m. Tell them not to knock. Have someone wait at the front door. Don't wake Leaf up. When she wakes up, give her the breakfast."
"Yes, Mr. Flint," Zach nodded.
Julien then took out his phone and focused on his phone.
Just as he put his phone away, Sydney's phone buzzed.
Sydney was still asleep in bed. When her phone buzzed, her brows furrowed and her eyes rolled, though they were still closed. She seemed to be waking up.
However, she couldn't open her eyes. She was too tired, so she fell back asleep.
About three hours later, a phone call woke her up.
"Hello?" Sydney reached out her hand from the blanket and fumbled for her phone. She didn't open her eyes.
She used to put her phone on the nightstand every night before she went to bed, so she easily grabbed her phone. She unlocked the phone with her finger and put it to her ear.
On the other end of the line, hearing Sydney's husky and sleepy voice, Sean took a moment before saying, "Ms. Raines, it's me."
"Yes?" Sydney rubbed her eyes and finally opened them. Then she lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling light.
Sean asked, "Ms. Raines, haven't you gotten up yet?" Sean asked timidly.
Earlier in the morning, Sean got a call from Zach and learned that Sydney would come to the office later.
Sean guessed that Sydney must have spent the night with Julien last night. Otherwise, Sydney would not be late.
Sydney went to the office on time every day. But since she spent the night with Julien a few days ago, she hadn't been to the office for several days. Sydney had planned to go to the office today, but she didn't show up until noon.
'Mr. Flint is like a drug, and Ms. Raines has grown addicted to it! It's all his fault!
Sydney didn't know what was on Sean's mind. When she heard Sean ask her if she was up, she immediately blushed. Then she looked around. She found Julien was gone and that the spot he had been lying in felt cold.
Sydney guessed that Julien had left for a while. She didn't know when he left.
Sydney felt ashamed and annoyed. She blamed Julien for not waking her up.
Otherwise, she would not have felt embarrassed when Sean asked her if she had gotten up.
Sydney was sure that Sean knew why she was still sleeping at this hour.
'How humiliating!'
Sydney covered her face with her hands and answered awkwardly, "I'm getting up."
Sydney had no choice but to admit that she was still in bed. Sean already knew it anyway.
"Okay." Sean smiled.
Sydney rubbed her temples and managed to sit up.
Her body was sore after a fervent night, but she felt better than the day before.
She could feel that Julien was just as passionate last night as he had been the night before, but her body was not as sore, which meant that her body had begun to get used to him.
Sydney blushed again at the thought of it. She wondered if it was a good thing. But she was sure it was good for Julien.
Sydney let out an awkward cough. Then she got the disturbing thoughts out of her mind and got to business. "Is there something you're calling me about at this time?"
"Yes." Sean pushed her glasses up and replied, "Yesterday you told me a woman was going to apologize to you online. You asked me to keep an eye on it and notify the PR team before things get out of hand and degenerate into cyber violence."
"Yes. What happened? Has Greta apologized?" Sydney asked.
"Yes." Sean reported, "She publicly apologized to you at eight this morning on the live stream. She was crying so pitifully, but it was disgusting."
Sydney raised her eyebrows, "What else did she do?"
'Why does Sean feel disgusted by the apology?' Sydney wondered.
"Ms. Raines, you're right. Although she didn't say anything explicitly, she wasn't apologizing. Even though she said she was sorry, she didn't sound sorry. It sounded like you forced her to apologize. She was in tears and looked so miserable. She was framing you. She's a bitch! It really pisses me off!" Sean spat.
Sydney said, "Don't be mad. It's true that I forced her to apologize." Although Sydney had a smile on her face, the look in her eyes was icy cold.
