Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 794 I Am Not His Daughter

The more she thought about it, the more worried she was about Julien's health. Sydney finally decided to make some tonic soup for Julien. Anyway, he was her boyfriend.

Thinking about this, Sydney quickly finished her breakfast. After that, she went out to throw her trash and went to the supermarket near the community to buy ingredients for the soup. It was still early, and she would have plenty of time to make soup since she would not go to Skylight until the afternoon.

Sydney picked ingredients in the supermarket. She chose beef bones to make soup for Julien.

The beef bone soup was effective in strengthening the body and driving away the cold. On such a cold day, a bowl of beef bone soup could warm the body.

She believed that Julien would like it.

Sydney looked at the beef bones in her hand and laughed slightly. She then put them in the basket and went to the cashier to pay the bill.

It was already 11:30 when she returned to the community.

Sydney walked into the apartment building and came to the elevator. She was about to press the button when she saw a familiar figure standing in front of the elevator.

The person slightly lowered her head with her hands in front of her body, tightly carrying her bag. She seemed to be in a trance, not noticing the people around her.

Sydney looked at this person with a frown and pursed her red lips, her voice cold. "Ms. Madden, why are you here?"

At the sound of Sydney's voice, the person was startled and looked up at Sydney. When she saw Sydney, she panicked for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure. She gripped her bag and forced a smile. "Hello, Ms. Raines."

Sydney stared at her. "So do you have an apartment here?"

"No." Clarice shook her head honestly.

Sydney knitted her eyebrows. "Then why are you here? Don't tell me you came here on a walk. Eastview Haven and here are in two directions, one north and one south."

Clarice was silent for a few seconds and then suddenly stared at her. "Ms. Raines, I didn't come here for a walk. I came here to see you."

"Me?" Sydney raised her eyebrows, not much surprised by Clarice's answer.

Sydney had just realized that Clarice had probably come here for her.

"I don't think there is anything to talk about between me and you, Ms. Madden. So what did you want to see me about?" Sydney asked calmly, clutching the paper shopping bag in her arms. Clarice bit her lip. "I just wanted to ask you a question."

If she hadn't known that Sydney might not answer her calls, Clarice wouldn't have come here in person at all.

"A question?" Sydney narrowed her eyes. "What question is worth you coming here?"

Clarice squeezed the bag handle in her hand again. "My father's health is getting worse and worse, and the doctor said that at this rate, he might not live more than six months."

"And then?" Sydney's eyes showed no emotion as she looked at Clarice.

Clarice took a deep breath. "My dad needs a kidney urgently now. I..."

"Stop!" Sydney's face was sullen, and her voice was full of coldness. "Are you here again to convince me to donate a kidney to Brandon? If so, please leave. I don't think we have anything to talk about next." She made a gesture with one hand for Clarice to leave. "If you don't leave on your own, I will call security guards to take you away. Ms. Madden, make your choice."

Clarice hastily took Sydney's arm. "No, Ms. Raines. I'm not here to..."

"Let go!" Before she could finish her sentence, she was once again interrupted by Sydney.

Sydney lowered her eyes to look at the hand on her arm with a scowl.

If she were not afraid of breaking the paper bag in her hand or dropping it on the ground, she wouldn't have asked Clarice to let go of her hand. Instead, she would have just shaken Clarice away. Clarice felt the menacing aura from Sydney and knew that her action had made Sydney angry, so she stiffened her face and finally let go of Sydney's arm, annoyed.

If it weren't for her father, Clarice wouldn't be so tolerant.

She was no longer the Denna that everyone could bully and humiliate in the past. She had become Clarice, the Madden family's young miss that had the same status as Sydney.

So she did not have to give in to Sydney.

But now, she had to suppress her anger for the sake of her father and her future.

Taking a deep breath, Clarice managed a smile and apologized to Sydney, "Sorry, Ms. Raines. I didn't mean to grab you. I just got too emotional."

Sydney raised her eyes, gave Clarice an icy look, and then looked down at her wrinkled sleeve unhappily.

She had to change clothes again.

"Ms. Raines, I didn't intend to persuade you to donate a kidney to my dad this time. I just want to ask you if ... if Brandon were your dad, would you donate a kidney to him?" Clarice pretended not to see the disgust on Sydney's face, clenched her hands, and asked.

When she heard this, Sydney stopped straightening her sleeve and then looked up at Clarice strangely. "Are you crazy? Why did you ask me that question?"

"I'm not crazy!" Clarice lowered her eyes with an odd expression. "I am serious. I really want to know if Brandon were your father, would you donate a kidney to him?"

Sydney stared at Clarice's nervous face for a moment, suddenly withdrew her gaze, and snorted, "I don't know why you asked such a ridiculous question, but I can answer you unequivocally. No!"

Clarice widened her eyes incredulously. "Why? You won't even donate a kidney to your father?"

"Of course, I can donate a kidney to my dad, but if my dad is a disgustingly bad guy like Brandon, I won't do that," Sydney didn't hesitate to say.

Clarice was shocked, speechless. "You... How can you be so heartless? Even if your dad is bad, he is your dad. You won't even save your dad!"

"Why should I save a bad guy? Saving him can indeed fulfill my filial piety, but at the same time, I will resurrect a devil, which will bring a lot of harm to society. Then many people will be miserable because of him. So for the sake of society and other people's happiness, I would rather be righteous. Everyone will praise me for being sensible."

Sydney looked at her and added icily, "Also, your question is meaningless. I am not Brandon's daughter. I don't know what you mean by coming here today and asking me these strange questions, but I will not save Brandon, so you should give up early. "

After saying that, she directly bypassed Clarice and entered the elevator.

Clarice looked at the slowly closing elevator doors and finally came out of her daze. Her face gradually became distorted, and her eyes were scarlet as she glared at Sydney who was in the elevator. Clarice gritted her teeth and murmured, "I gave you a chance, Sydney. I gave you a chance, but you didn't cherish it, so don't blame me!"

People were all selfish.

Even though Julien was protecting Sydney, Clarice had to take the risk for her future.

Her father could not die!
