Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce! -
Chapter 796 Fabian's Plan Fell Apart
Sean took the papers and carried the thermos out.
After Sean left, Sydney leaned back in her chair. She lifted her hand to pinch the bridge of her nose and breathed a sigh of relief.
She suddenly realized that Sean's temper had changed a lot in the past few days.
Sean used to be a serious office lady. She rarely said much or smiled. Others were intimidated by her stern face.
But now Sean was different. She was not so serious anymore. Her personality was much softer. And she smiled from time to time. She even joked with Sydney.
Just now she teased Sydney about her absence from the office.
Besides, Sean's dressing had also changed slightly. Although she was still wearing her usual black lady's suit and A-line skirt, she no longer wore high heels. Instead, she wore a pair of flat soft-soled shoes every day.
Sydney thought that Sean was tired of wearing heels and that she wanted a change.
Although Sean was not a fashion girl, she was a girl after all.
All women wanted to be attractive.
Sydney smiled as she shook her head. Then she picked up her phone to tell Julien that she had sent someone to deliver him soup.
Before she sent Julien a message, she checked if Julien had messaged her back.
However, Julien did not reply to her message.
Sydney guessed that Julien must be very busy at the moment. She sighed and then started to text him.
Before she sent the message, she checked it for typos.
After the message was sent, she put the phone down and started working.
Julien was inspecting one of Flint Corporation's plants. After he finally finished his tour, he came out of the plant gate wearing a white protective suit.
Zach immediately walked up to him, "Mr. Flint."
Zach did not follow Julien into the plant. He was taking care of the matter with Fabian. After the matter was taken care of, Zach rushed to the plant and waited for Julien at the gate. Julien took off the protective suit and tossed it to Zach, "Everything taken care of?"
"Yes." Zach took the suit and nodded, "With the recording, Fabian and his men can't deny what they had done. And I called the police. The police contacted the Internal Control Institute to arrest them. And Fabian's men were terrified. They confessed all the other things Fabian had done behind the scenes. I guess Fabian needs to spend at least ten years in prison."
Julien curled his lips, "Considering Fabian was a senior shareholder in the company, I had warned him not to pull any strings behind the scenes. He should have known his place. But he didn't listen to me and ended up like this. He deserved it."
Julien assumed he was not a kind person, but he was not a bad person either.
He had always been kind and generous to the company's senior shareholders.
Julien respected the shareholders as long as they obeyed the rules.
However, some people thought Julien was a fool and tried to challenge him for their own benefit.
In such cases, Julien would not take it easy on them.
A cold glimmer flashed across Julien's eyes. It was frightening.
"Yes." Zach followed behind Julien and nodded.
He couldn't understand Fabian and people of his kind either.
'They own the company's shares, but they don't have to do anything. Aren't they happy? Why do they want to be in charge?
'They have so few shares. How can they take the power from Mr. Flint?
'Even if they got some power, what good would it do? Are they going to give their power to their loser children when they are dying?
'Why are they so stubborn? They're so stupid, so they deserve such consequences.
'Now Fabian is sixty years old. When he gets out of prison 10 years later, he'll be seventy. By that time, he will be a useless old man. If he knew he would end up in prison, he would not bother seizing power now earlier.'
Zach curled his lips and showed a contempt look at Fabian and people of his kind.
"Fabian knows he's lost the game and he wants to sell his shares to Mr. Cahill. He expects Mr. Cahill to be as greedy as he is and challenge you as he did." Zach told Julien as they walked to the car. Julien narrowed his eyes and then sneered, "He's gone to the wrong person. Uncle Vent won't purchase his shares."
Zach smiled, "Yes, Mr. Cahill turned down his offer."
"Definitely." Julien got into the car, "Uncle Vent is obsessed with art. He's never participated in the company's business for decades. Fabian doesn't know Uncle Vent. Does he think all shareholders who are not in charge are as ambitious as he is?"
"Fabian is out of his mind. He has no idea that Mr. Cahill wished you to buy his shares so he could concentrate on his artistic pursuits." Zach laughed, "Speaking of which, is Mr. Cahill coming to you this year to talk about selling you his shares?"
Julien's face relaxed. "No way. I still need him on the board. How can I let him leave?"
Vent Cahill was also a senior shareholder of Flint Corporation. He joined the company at the same time as Fabian. Vent was the second largest shareholders in the company. He had a five percent stake in the company.
Fabian knew he had lost the game. He was desperate, so he wanted to sell his shares to Vent. He expected Vent to become ambitious with an 8% stake and start challenging Julien.
In such a big company like Flint Corporation, eight percent was a large share. Usually, such a large share drove shareholders greedy. They wanted to have a say in the decisions of the company. They would no longer be satisfied with being a shareholder with no power.
Fabian's move was right. But he didn't know that Vent had no ambition for the business. He never wanted to stay at Flint Corporation. He cared more about art than fame and fortune. His dream was to be an artist and to travel the world with his painting board, creating his abstract graffiti-style works.
Therefore, Vent would never buy Fabian's shares.
Vent always wanted Julien to purchase his shares so he could travel the world.
But Julien needed some senior shareholders in the company, so people wouldn't think he was a cold-blooded person who got rid of all the senior shareholders as soon as he took the chairman's seat. He wanted the public to know that he was a broad-minded man. Therefore, he would not let Vent go.
But actually, Julien and Vent had made a deal long ago that Julien would buy Vent's shares when Vent got old. At that time, Vent could leave the company.
After hearing what Julien said, Zach smirked, "Mr. Cahill won't be happy."
"I'll buy him an oil painting kit, and he won't be mad at me." Julien said nonchalantly.
In fact, Julien used this trick every year to pacify Vent.
