"It's great that you know it." Only then did Julien feel satisfied. He let go of Sydney's cheeks, pulled her hands and helped her up. "It's late at night, but you still haven't gone to bed. Are you hungry? Would you like to eat something?"

Sydney shook her head. "No, thank you. I don't want to get fat. Also, I'm not hungry. You have just finished work and come back. Are you hungry?"

"No.I'm good." He also shook his head.

She yawned. "Now that both of us are not hungry, you can take a shower and go to bed. You must be sleepy after working for the whole day. Look at your dark circles." She pointed at his eyelids.

He raised his hands to touch his eyelids and didn't take it seriously. "It's not serious. Never mind."

"It's not serious? You haven't slept for more than thirty-six hours." She compressed her lips and felt unhappy.

He shrugged.

'I only haven't slept for thirty-six hours.

'I often didn't sleep for two or three days in the past.'

But his intuition told him that he would better not tell her that. Otherwise, she would be angered.

She didn't know what he was thinking. She pushed him to the bathroom. "Alright. Go to take a shower and go to bed. It's late at night."

He turned around to look at her with a gentle smile and said, "OK."

After she pushed him into the bathroom, she patted her hands, returned to the bedroom and leaned against the bed.

Then she picked up the crystal ball on the nightstand and shook it. She held it in her hands and saw the flying flakes of snow inside. A faint smile hovered on her lips.

She had been in a bad mood and thought about why she had cared about the Maddens so much since she returned from the pastry shop.

She didn't know why her attitude towards the Maddens had changed sharply. She felt disturbed and annoyed. She started to split hair and wanted to know the reason. However, the more anxiously she wanted to know, the more confused she became. She sat on the couch and fell into a daze.

After he comforted her, she felt much better and didn't care about the Maddens so much as before.

'Julien may be right. I care about the Maddens so much because I'm too softhearted and tend to have sympathy for others. 'Hope Julien is right. Otherwise...'

When she was lost in thought, the door of the bedroom was pushed open.

Julien walked in with a loose bathrobe and exposed his strong and perfect chest. His pectorals were firm and smooth. It looked so sexy, exuding the charm that only belonged to men.

He walked towards her while wiping his wet hair with a towel. Water dripped to his bathrobe from the tips of his hair and finally disappeared.

She put the crystal ball back, sat up and looked at him. "Why didn't you dry your hair?"

He sat on the bed and said, "I would like to accompany you."

She rolled her eyes at him. "I didn't ask you to accompany me."

He looked at her and said, "But I want to accompany you."

She pulled a wry face. "Alright, give me your towel. I will help you dry your hair."

"OK." He replied as he handed the towel to her.

She sat on heels behind his back and started to wipe his hair gently.

His hair was black and soft. It felt like silk.

She wiped his hair as she fiddled with it. She even couldn't put it down.

However, she suddenly saw a small stitched scar on his scalp as she touched his hair.

The scar was not long, about 0.8 inches, but it seemed that the wound had been put in many stitches at that time.

Besides, it seemed that the scar was an old scar for many years.

She stopped wiping his hair, frowned and touched his scar gently.

She asked in a worried voice, "Why did you have such a scar?"

Obviously, she felt down because of his scar.

He opened his eyes and felt where she was touching. He knew which scar she mentioned and said, "Jayden hit my head by accident when he was a kid." She raised her voice. "You got the scar because of Jayden?"

Julien nodded. "At that time, he was only three years old. He was naughty and liked to throw things. One day, when I returned home, he threw a cup and hit my head by accident."

She stroked his scar with a long face. "I thought that you had suffered something and had such a scar. Unexpectedly, the culprit was Jayden. He has been annoying since he was a kid." Julien felt happy because of her disdain toward Jayden. "You're right."

"Alright, don't move. I'm wiping your hair. If your hair is tugged by me, don't blame me." She patted his shoulder.

He sat upright obediently like a soldier. He looked serious but adorable.

Soon, no water dripped from his hair anymore. She picked up the hair dryer and helped him dry his hair.

His hair was short, and she had wiped it with the towel. His hair dried up within two minutes.

Then she put the hair dryer into a drawer of the nightstand.

As soon as she closed the drawer, she was pressed down on the bed by him.

She looked up and met his gaze. His eyes were so deep like two black holes that would suck her spirit.

He breathed heavily, and the heat of his breath was sprayed on her face. He stared at her red lips sharply like a wolf.

She saw him lowering his head towards her and knew what he wanted to do. She raised her head to be against his and stopped him.

He fell into a trance. He didn't expect her to stop him halfway.

He looked at her. His gaze was filled with confusion. He didn't understand why she stopped him.

She opened her mouth slightly and exposed her white teeth and pink tongue tip.

She looked at him and shook her head slightly. "Not tonight. You haven't slept since yesterday. Aren't you tired?"

'How can he still want to sleep with me?'

He shook his head and said in a husky and charming voice, "I'm not tired."

She rolled her eyes at him. "Even if you're not tired, I'm worried about you. Anyway, you can't do that tonight. Go to bed obediently. You're thirty years old and not in your twenties. You need rest. Otherwise, you will be sick."

His pupils contracted.

'She says that I'm thirty years old again.

'I know that I'm thirty years old, but does it mean that I'm old?

'Isn't it said that men in their thirties are very charming?

'It means that I'm in the prime of life. Why does she think that I'm old?'

He felt frustrated.

Seeing that he felt wronged, she pushed him aside. "Alright, have a good night. Do you know that you need a rest?"

He compressed his lips and asked, "Am I old?"

She blinked. "What?"

"You said that I was thirty years old and not in my twenties." He stared at her. "Do you mean that I'm old?"

She pulled a wry face. "I didn't say that you were old. I just mean that men in their thirties are not as energetic as when they are in their twenties. Thus, you can' think that you're only thirty years old and still young. You need to take care of yourself. It's for your own good. Do you understand?"
