Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 871 Jealous Three Thousand Times

"What?" The lawyer was in a panic as a result of Julien's terrifying glare. He was unsure of what he was doing incorrectly.

"Get out!" Julien shouted before he even asked.

The lawyer's mouth twitched, but he eventually kept quiet. He realized that Julien was furious, so he nodded and went away. Sydney removed Julien's hand, which had been covering her eyes. She pouted to show her displeasure. "Why so angry?"

At first, Julien didn't respond. He drew nearer while holding her face in his hands. "You aren't permitted to stare at other men with that kind of admiring gaze. Am I clear? You can only look at me that way!" When Sydney identified how jealous Julien was, she understood it was because of the way she looked at that lawyer. She felt funny.

Seeing her chuckling without giving him an answer, Julien got upset and repeated, "Am I clear?"

Sydney felt Julien's hands a little tighter on her face as he asked.

"Yes, indeed." Sydney immediately nodded.

Then Julien withdrew his hands and released her.

Sydney massaged her face, which had grown a little red from being in his strong hands, and moaned, "How can you get jealous so easily? It has happened three thousand times today."

There was a brief moment of silence before Julien said, "Because I love you so much. You matter a lot to me. I didn't know that you were my true love in the past, though you were by my side. I lost you once, and I will never let that happen again. You weigh much more in my mind than anyone else. I can't stand it when you pay more attention to others than me."

Not that Julien was unaware of his jealous behavior; rather, he felt powerless over it.

Nevertheless, it wasn't worth it.

For him, Sydney was like a long-lost treasure. Any time she wasn't entirely focused on him, he couldn't bear it.

Sydney sighed. As she observed him, she knew in her mind that it was because he lacked a sense of security.

He had already lost her once, so it was reasonable that he didn't want to lose her again.

Sydney used to be frustrated with him and had lost faith in him. Therefore, he was constantly worried that she might leave him.

Sydney gave him a sigh and embraced one of his arms.

Previously, it had been she who had gotten no sense of security, but now it was him.

"Don't worry," Sydney said softly, resting her head on his shoulder. "You are the most important person in my mind. Even if I do pay attention to others, it won't be with admiration but rather with curiosity. You will always be the one person I care about the most."

But of course, if they were no longer together Sydney wouldn't care for him anymore.

There was no need for Sydney to speak it out, so she remained silent.

Or Julien would surely be upset.

With her assurance, Julien appeared better, but he continued to ask in a depressed tone, "Curiosity regarding what features of him? Why did you give him that kind of adoring gaze?"

"His track record, of course! What else can it be?" Sydney clenched his arm tighter.

She raised her head to look at Julien. "He wasn't more muscular or more attractive than you. How is it possible that I have feelings for him?"

Sydney's comments won Julien's approval. He unconsciously grinned. "Fine."

Sydney rolled her eyes in her head, yet she was amused by him.

'What a complacent guy.'

'With compliments, his joy was clearly seen on his face.'

Sydney soon apologized to the lawyer in mind for degrading him while comforting Julien.

"By the way, why were you curious about his track record?" Julien tilted his head to look at Sydney, who leaned on his shoulder.

Although he was pleased with what she said, he was curious as to the specifics of her curiosity about the lawyer.

Sydney was rendered speechless by his never-ending questions.

'Fine. Such a stubborn dude.'

'If there is not a specific answer, he won't ever stop asking questions.'

She replied as she rubbed her temples, "This lawyer's eloquence caught my attention, so I thought he must be a good one. I looked him up online and discovered that he was among the top 3 domestically. I was startled to learn that he was actually professional because I had assumed he was someone who merely sought money."

"So why hadn't you kept him to work for your company?" Sydney met Julien's eyes as they exchanged glances.

'The expense of hiring a reputable lawyer was high, but Julien wouldn't think much of it.'

Sydney wondered why Julien had let this lawyer go.

"He quit," Julien explained.

"Why?" Sydney was confused. "He was the director of your legal department. You must have paid him a significant annual income, or at least one that is greater than what he is currently receiving. He appeared to be greedy. Doesn't he care?"

"Even if he stays on, he will be replaced sooner or later. It's looked more decent to resign first." Julien answered while fondling Sydney's soft palm.

"What do you mean?" Sydney puzzledly tilted her head.

"In my Legal Department, I had a No. 1, who is currently the director, and in addition to him, a No. 3 in this country." Julien gave her a little kiss on her hand.

"I see, no wonder." Sydney's eyes were wide open.

She would have resigned voluntarily if it had been her.

After all, if one felt threatened by a genius and lacked faith in his capacity to keep the position, it would be best to go voluntarily at first.

"By the way," Sydney suddenly straightened her back and asked, "By Mr. Sullivan, did Mr. West mean Dallin Sullivan?"

"Yes," Julien nodded to confirm.

Sydney frowned. "If only I had known, I would have asked him about Dallin and Greta's relationship."

"It doesn't matter. We get plenty of time." Julien responded, with his eyes narrowed.

Sydney looked at Julien, but before she continued to say anything, a police officer approached and said, "Mr. Flint and Ms. Raines, you can meet Greta now." Sydney stood up with Julien right away. "Great, please lead the way."

The police officer gave them a courteous grin and showed them the direction.

Julien, followed by Sydney, entered the interrogation room. They noticed Greta, who was in a wheelchair and had her head bowed so that her face was concealed.

Greta was unable to walk. Therefore, the police permitted her to be questioned while using a wheelchair of her own rather than making her sit in the interrogation chair. After a whole day of questioning, Greta was worn out.

Apparently, Greta hadn't had a joyful time in the police station.

The police officers hadn't given her any physical punishment, but Greta must be under extreme mental pressure that did harm to herself.

Greta, however, received exactly what she deserved in what happened to her.
