Sky’s Rejection Chapter 13

(Dimitri’s POV)

How is this beauty in front of me, my mate? Her wolf had violet eyes but she has brown. How did her eye color change? It isn’t possible for me to have more than one mate. She is perfect with her wavy black and white hair, high cheek bones, her thick pouty lips. But her eyes are enchanting but not right. They don’t belong to her.It just feels wrong with them being brown. I keep getting distracted by my mate’s beauty.

“I will tell you once more, I am High Alpha Ty. Do not disrespect me by calling me anything else, Beta. I think we should take our leave. It doesn’t seem you need our help after all. Best of luck Royal Alpha Dimitri.” Ty says to us calmly, as he drags my mate towards the door. I growled in warning, Demon wanting to get his hands off our mate. Both of them turned towards me and for a split second my mate’s emotionless mask fell to show a look of anger, frustration, and confusion.

“We do need your help, I am not sure what the problem is, but we can help if you two feel uncomfortable here.” I told them calmly as I stood up behind my desk. Getting ready to stop her from leaving if I have to. I don’t understand why they want to leave, especially my mate. Doesn’t she realize we are mates? She seems as if she can read all my feelings, as if I am an open book.I try to push into her head, wanting to know what she is thinking about and how she is feeling right now. Is she happy to have found me, even just a little? Does her wolf want me, like my wolf wants her? I am not sure what I said to upset her but all of a sudden her body tenses as if she is ready to attack someone.

“Ask your little w***e to help you.” She replied, with an attitude. As she turns, it seems like she wants to get out of my office as soon as possible. She wants to run from me again. Why? Though my Beta blocks the way.

“HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO THE ROYAL ALPHA LIKE THAT?” Dean screamed in her face. Making my b***d boil and Demon to growl in my head. How dare he.

‘How dare he get into my mate’s face. I will rip him apart. I don’t care who he is.’ Demon growls inside my head, bouncing around and getting ready to attack if need be.

All of a sudden, Dean falls back, landing on the ground as a look of horror crossed his face. What the hell just happened? My body tenses as I look around for a threat. She didn’t even touch him. How did he fall?

“Let’s all calm down.” Mark says, trying to be a mediator, like always. Though Mark speaking seemed to just rile up my mate more. The anger radiating off her but the overly calm facade she is presenting is honestly scary as hell. It almost feels as if she is a machine, like there are no emotions in her just reactions.

‘Mate isn’t happy. Something is wrong. Fix it. I don’t feel her wolf.’ Demon whines in my head, wanting to just hold his mate close to him.

“How did you do that? How was your voice in my head?” Dean panicked, trying to get as far away from her as the room would allow him to. What does he mean? He heard her voice in his head? Could she be an alpha?

‘What do you mean?’ I Ming linked to Dean, wondering what was happening.

‘She entered my mind and then she threatened me. All I heard was, ‘Talk to me like that again, you sexist dog and I will rip your body parts off limb by limb as I watch you scream for mercy.’ Dean linked back to me, making my eyes widen in shock. My mate is a fierce little thing.

“Where is she?” She asked, staring directly at me, through gritted teeth. ” Where is the w***e?”

“What are you talking about? What w***e?” I asked her, in confusion. What woman is she talking about and why is she calling her a w***e? I stare at her in confusion and I can see she doesn’t believe me.

“I will replace her myself.” She told me with no care in the world, as she pushed High Alpha Ty out of her way, opening the door.

“Sky, no. We are just going to leave. Leave it be, child.” Ty whispered softly to my mate. What a beautiful name, I could say that name every second of every day and never get tired of hearing it.

“Sky, I like that.” I whispered to myself, enjoying her name on my lips.

‘Sky, that’s a pretty name for mate. I want her now Dimitri, go to mate.’ Demon says as he pulls himself to the front of my mind. Watching our mate with me.

High Alpha Ty turns towards me, I can feel the anger radiating off of him. What did I do to them? She is the one who ran. “Are you kidding me? You are saying her name as if your in love when she is about to go kill the she – wolf whose scent is all over you.”

“Why would she care about a scent on him?” Mark asked in confusion, still lost to what was going on. Wait, did he say scent on me? Of a she – wolf?

‘That nasty she – wolf who came into our bedroom.’ Demon whines, realizing we have hurt our mate. I am so stupid, I didn’t have time to take a shower and I realize now that this whole time I have been admiring her, she has been getting upset because she must think I have been with another wolf. I would never. This is a mess.

“She’s my mate.” I answered Mark, as I still didn’t take my eyes off my mate. Fear of losing her and being alone or dying from this is running through my mind. Pain is running through me, that she doesn’t want me and thinks I would hurt her in that way. What is going through her head right now? She knows how to block her emotions so well, her face looks emotionless as if she doesn’t even realize her mate is in front of her. It hurts to think she may not feel anything for me.

As she leaves the office, I realize I need to get her and fast. I can’t believe I got lost in my thoughts. “NO, WAIT, SKY COME BACK, PLEASE.” Though no matter how loud I am or how much I beg her to come back, she doesn’t. I have to stop her. Everyone is just standing around in shock. High Alpha Ty seems to have known I was her mate, though this must not be how she usually acts or maybe he doesn’t know if he should stop her. I don’t blame him, it seems they have a close connection and if I did what they think, then I would want to kill the she – wolf and myself too. I couldn’t imagine how I would react if she had the smell of a male – wolf all over her.

I can’t let her kill a pack member though. She may be the pack slut and try to sleep for the titles, but it doesn’t mean she deserves to die. I ran out of the office, trying to follow my mate’s scent. I can feel the presence of High Alpha Ty, Dean and Mark behind me.

‘One of you go replace Katrina and keep her out of sight until I can calm my mate down.’ I mind linked my beta and gamma.

‘I will replace her.’ Mark links. I could hear the disappointment in his voice. He must think I slept with her too, great.

‘I will stay with you.’ Dean linked back to me. Alright, hopefully I will replace her before she replaces Katrina.

“I know you three are mind linking each other and it isn’t appreciated. If you do anything to hurt Sky, the whole council will come down on you and we will dethrone you.” High Alpha Ty told us, no threat was found in his voice. It was a promise.

“Are you threatening us?” Dean asks in anger.

“No, that was a promise and your Royal Alpha knew that,” High Alpha Ty replied, calmly.

“Why is this girl so important?” Mark asked, completely intrigued by this situation.

“That isn’t my place to say and I will not allow anyone to force it out of anyone. I would sacrifice my own life before allowing anyone to know.” High Alpha Ty replied, I can only hear the truth in his voice. What is she that a High Alpha would sacrifice his life for her? Would the council sacrifice themselves for her too? I mean, I am happy my mate have people like this, but at the same time I am jealous. Why won’t she let me in?

“I am going to try to track down her scent.” Mark told me before taking off in the opposite direction.

“Who?” High Alpha Ty asked, looking straight at me for an answer.

‘You should tell him, mate fully trust him. Maybe they are family.’ Demon encouraged me.

“Katrina, the she – wolf’s scent that is on me. It isn’t what you think though.” I responded, nervously to him. If he is that important to our mate then I would hate to piss him off already.

‘Alpha, umm I found her. Well, I found both of them.’ Mark mind linked me. He seemed nervous. There is something he isn’t telling me.

‘What is it? What is wrong? Why are they together? Where are you?’ I fired off all at once through the mind link.

‘You need to see this Alpha, it isn’t good. We are near the dining hall.’ Mark replied to me, then cut the link. Damn it.

“We have to go, they are together and near the dining hall. Mark didn’t say much.” I told them and then headed off to the dining hall. Katrina is my top warriors daughter and her father trained her non – stop till a year ago. I am afraid Katrina will hurt my mate and then I won’t be able to control Demon from killing her.

‘I already want to kill her. How dare she hurt mates feelings like this.’ Demon growls in anger in my head. I try to suppress the growl as best as I can but a small rumble escapes.

“You okay, Alpha?” Dean asked in concern.

” I am good.” I replied, trying to make sure he didn’t worry.

“You won’t be.” High Alpha Ty told us, with no hint of threat in his voice. This must have to do with my mate.

“Why?” I asked cautiously.

“You will see. Sky isn’t a force to be reckoned with though.” High Alpha Ty told us, with a proud look on his face. I may be a little scared about what I am about to see and maybe I should be worried about Katrina’s safety and not my mates.

‘Move faster, get to mate.’ Demon demands.

I entered the dining hall and couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing.

Goddess, I am in trouble with this little feisty mate.
