Sky's Rejection
Sky’s Rejection Chapter 19

(Sky’s POV)

“Not might, I do. While you guys have been trusting others to figure out all these important things, I have been confirming and making sure everything goes right. I have taught the warriors new techniques so that rogues don’t know their steps. I have been following Al and listening to his conversations with the rogue boss. I have been tracking Katrina and keeping eyes on her at all times. That is how I know that she is at Woodland Pack and is the mate to Alpha Xander Lee Woodland. Al is there with her and they now have that Pack behind them,” I told them with a calm demeanor.

The boarder patrol schedule will need to be changed to a five – one ratio. We will need to double the patrol numbers and triple them for the nights. With a pack now involved, this would be a more organized attack. I need to make sure that everything is set so none of the pack members are harmed. Due to dealing with these idiots, I haven’t been able to check in on what is happening between the rogues and the pack. I need to set out and see what they are up to, replace out how to prevent casualties.

Ty looks panicked as he looks around at all of us. If he keeps acting like this he will give away who I am and what that pack is to me. I haven’t had a normal conversation with my mate yet, this isn’t the first one I need to have with him. I was too distracted in my own thoughts that I didn’t realize Ty was beginning to freak out and make rash decisions.

“We are leaving. You do not need our help. I will have the council send the ghost squad and they will be able to help. Sky, let’s go now.” Ty announced as he jumped out of his seat and headed towards me.

‘What is going on? This is going to draw attention to us that we don’t want. Then, even with the pack involved, you know that you and I can handle this situation.’ I mind – linked to Ty, as I stared him straight in his eye. His hand is wrapped around my wrist and I know I won’t fight him if he still wants to leave. I trust Ty with my life, always will.

‘Sky, I need to protect you. We aren’t safe here. We can’t let them replace out about your connection with either pack. Your mate hasn’t been proven trust – worthy yet.’ Ty linked back to me, he is right and honestly Ty trusts faster than me.

“He’s right. The ghost squad will be sufficient.” I commented as I rose from my seat, ready to leave with Ty. Dimitri grabbed my free wrist, causing sparks to shoot completely up my arm. I wanted to melt into him, I wanted to feel his full body against me.I looked in horror at my wrist which was locked inside his hand, then up to his face.

“Let …. go.” I said between gritted teeth, trying my hardest not to kill him for touching me without permission, but also trying not to jump his bones right here and right now.

” Sky, please you can’t leave. Your my mate and this packs luna. We need you, I need you. What have I done to make you not want me?” Dimitri asked, as he begged. I could see the hope he had for me to choose not to leave him and the pack. Though the only response I gave him was me shaking my head, as I left him standing there, disappointed with the situation I was in and trying to clear my mind. I need to stay with who I trusted. Ty is my life now, my family, and if he doesn’t think I should tell Dimitri yet, then there has to be a reason. Especially knowing he believes one hundred and ten percent in mates and the bond they have and should have. Rejection isn’t an option in his eyes.

We walked out of the pack house, not even looking back for our clothes. As if he had this as a back up plan from the start. He looks lost in thought. Though I need to know what he is thinking so we can figure this out.

“I need to know what you think, because what I am thinking is that this pack needs our help. Ariel is my friend and I hate to see anything happen to her or her pup and Dean may not be my friend in my eyes, but I still couldn’t see him die. He’s sweet and funny. The patrol warriors schedule and numbers need to be changed, we need to go see what the rogues are up to and where the pack is standing to help them. I need to prepare this pack and I know you don’t want to see the royal pack be harmed either. You care too much about everyone.” I told him as I continued into the tree line, leaving behind the pack, my mate and my new best friend.

“Sky..” Ty sighed as he turned his head to look at me, the sadness and exhaustion on his face causing me concern. Did I do that to him? Before he continued, we heard running from behind us. I turned around and saw Ariel and Dimtri’s mother running in our direction. Why is Ariel out here and so close to the boarders when she is pregnant with a pup? Where is Mark?

“SKY.” Ariel screams, making us stop in our tracks. She bends over, her hands on her knees, as she pants to try to catch her breath. Only Ariel would try running full speed when pregnant. “Please, you can’t leave. I shouldn’t lose my best friend. Top it off, I know Di wants you, he just doesn’t know how to show it right.”

The black – haired guy sends the remaining five at us, as if one extra would be too much for us. Did he not realize I could have taken all four by myself? i***t. I hear Ariel’s heart beat rise as she slowly starts to back up.

*SNAP*

She steps on a twig, causing a snap to echo around the forest. Everyone freezes. I heard Ariel and Samantha’s breath hitch, I knew the former Queen was trying to get her to safety. The job of a Luna, even a royal one, is to keep the pups, women incapable of fighting and elders safe. All the rogues’ attention is on them now, the black – haired guy looking around me as he just now realized there were two other people here this whole time.

‘While they are in shock, attack. We can’t let them get to the former Queen or Ariel.’ I told Ty through the link, more demanded, but I knew he wouldn’t fight me right now. Most he will do is lecture me later about how to respect elders and the way one should talk to another being.

I ran away from the rogues, straight up a tree. Causing their attention to be diverted back to me.

‘Don’t move, I want them to stay focused on me.’ I mind linked to Ariel and Samantha. They both looked shocked that I was able to link them knowing I was not part of their pack, but they nodded in understanding anyway. Thank goddess. I can’t focus on them and these rogues.

I flipped backwards off the top of the tree, landing on the chocolate brown rogue as I stretched my arms out, digging my claws through the flesh of their chest and ripping the hearts out of the two wolves on either side of the chocolate brown rogue.

I leaned down into the rogue’s ear, whispering sinisterly to him, “Would you like their hearts as a snack?”

I don’t wait for his answer as I shove both hearts into the rogue’s throat, watching as he chocks on them. He gurgles on the hearts as b***d begins to pour out of his mouth. I smirk at the suffering he’s experiencing. Three rogues were down in less than a minute. I looked up and saw the other three rogues staring at me. Samantha and Ariel look horrified, as if they had never seen this type of gruesome fight before. Ty has a proud look in his eyes as he nods to the left. I smiled, realizing what play he was thinking. Ty and I charge at the two rogues in wolf form, Ty leaping in the air as he transforms into his wolf and I pivot heading towards the black – haired rogue who is calling the shots. When I turned, I realized he wasn’t there. I spun in a complete circle looking for him, and that is when I spotted him.

Behind Ariel.

I watch on in horror as he slits her throat.

B***d is gushing out, as she holds onto her neck for any ounce of life she has left.

She falls with lifeless eyes to the ground.

“YOU BASTARD.” I screamed as I ran at him, beheading him in one swift movement. “You deserved a long painful death for harming someone I love.”

I looked behind me, seeing that Ty had the other two down. I fell to my knees, cradling Ariel to me. I kissed her forehead, staring into her lifeless eyes. “You deserve life. You and your pup will be fine.” I whispered to my best friend, as I placed one hand over her throat, hoping my instincts didn’t fail me now.

“ARIEL, baby are you okay? Someone please tell me she will be fine, please.” Mark cried, hoping that what he was seeing wasn’t real. Though he needs to know it is real and that Ariel is gone.

“Mark, she’s gone, man. I am so sorry.” Dimitri told Mark calmly as he placed his hand on his shoulder.

‘She won’t be gone for long, we can help her.’ Angel informs me in my head, she is right. I feel it. I feel this power in me that could save her. Darkness began to take over and I felt myself slipping away.

“SKY, SKY TALK TO ME.” Ty panics as I feel him shaking me, trying to wake me up. Though I can’t keep my eyes open, I can’t stay here with them right now.

“WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?” Dimitri screamed in frustration. I could feel the anger radiating off of him. I get it, I feel his struggle. His mate is losing consciousness as my heart rate slows. His gamma female has no heart beat and b***d draining from her neck. His mate, a high alpha, his mother and his gamma female were all just attacked by rogues. The uncertainty, the unknown has to be hard for him. For once, I sympathize for him.

Those are the last of my thoughts, as I feel my soul leave out of my body and I fall completely limp.

The black – haired guy sends the remaining five at us, as if one extra would be too much for us. Did he not realize I could have taken all four by myself? i***t. I hear Ariel’s heart beat rise as she slowly starts to back up.
