Sky’s Rejection Chapter 70

(Sky’s POV)

“Would you like to challenge me… ELDER… Walsh. I would not mind being the Queen of wolves, Advisor of Vampires and Head of the counsel.” I said mockingly. Elder Walsh stared at me, as if he saw a ghost. Did he think I was joking?

The witch Elder from the counsel cackled, “This little one reminds me of her grandmother. Do you know she was next in line for the Queen of witches? She passed on the offer due to falling in love with a norm as we call them, anything that isn’t a witch. Your mother passed and had no witch gene so she also couldn’t be Queen. You my dear, are the next witch in line. I wonder how it will be dealing with you at these council meetings, seeing as you are the future Queen of witches, Queen of wolves and was it the advisor of vampires? I believe you will make them interesting and seem entertaining as well. Walsh I would watch your place, as I am very certain that she could and would take you down.”

“Why is it I cannot remove Ty from this room? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Elder Walsh questioned accusations at me, as I smirked at him in amusement. Di looked at me as if I was insane.

‘Should we be toying with him?’ Angel asked with a tint of fear.

‘Why not? We could take him with our eyes closed.’ Rain said in amusement, calming Angel down in the process. I am sure she was worried about the pup.

The witch laughed in amusement, “What a smart and powerful little hybrid and she isn’t even as old as us. She has an invisible force field around him. Move side to side and you can see a tint of the shimmer.”

“Sky, after this meeting, please allow me to sit in while your doctor examines you. I would love to know how you have fought off the venom.” Doctor Lilian asked kindly, as she stared at me. I gave a slight smile with a nod of approval, though my eye contact never left Elder Walsh. He was challenging me and I wouldn’t be the first to back down.

I could feel the questioning eyes of Dimitri on me. I slightly squeezed his hand in mine, trying to reassure him I knew what I was doing. As Elder Walsh looked away, I smirked in contentment. I had won this round.

“If we could continue this later, I would greatly appreciate that.” I said sweetly, but leaving no room for any other answer to be executed. “I believe Dimitri and I are about to have a baby.”

“Wait, what?” Dimitri asked in shock, as he stood from his seat. “You are not due for another week or two.”

“Well Di, I presume this pup of ours would like to come on his or her own term. As my water has just broken.” I said calmly as I looked at my mate panicking in front of me.

The witch cackled, temporarily pulling Dimitri’s attention to her. “Well done. Little hybrid. Staring down an Elder, holding your little ‘friend’ in place, all while in labor. Impressive.”

“Dean, let everyone know so they are prepared for the new little alpha. Have the doctor ready for us, she needs to be checked over completely before the pup comes. I want to make sure everything is running smooth. Let Diane, Mother and Ariel know the nursery must be done by the time the pup is released. This meeting will be pushed until Sky can be present.” Dimitri demanded, before scooping me into his arms. I gasped in shock. Though Angel purred in delight and Rain made comments I am trying to push out of my mind. You wouldn’t think we were in labor the way these two are thinking currently.

“Wait…” Elder Walsh demanded before Di cut him off with a growl. Walsh immediately paled as he stopped speaking mis sentence. Damn, Di is sexy when he acts all protective.

“Of course, Alpha. The doctor is waiting for you and I will have everything else ready for the new little alpha.” Dean said before rushing out of the room, presumably going to complete everything Di asked of him.

“We will be at the pack hospital in a minute, my love. Just hold on.” Di rushed out in his panicked state.

I chuckled softly, as I stared loving up at my mate. “Di, do not rush. I am alright. I do not feel anything but pressure right now. We have time.”

As we entered the hospital room, I was previously in, I realized how much I never wanted to come here again. I know it’s best for the pup to have him or her here but I just wish I didn’t have to see this room again. The state of the room is spectacular, as if they deep cleaned it as soon as we left to the meeting. I didn’t feel we were there that long, but it must have been a few hours with how well they did in here. It looks as if I wasn’t occupying the room earlier this day. Dimitri laid me down, as he kissed my forehead. A sharp pain shot through my stomach, making me curl in on myself.

“Sky? My love? Are you alright? DOCTOR, WE NEED YOU NOW.” Dimitri bellowed, his words echoing around my head while the pain started to subside. I breathed heavily, slowly releasing myself from the fetal position.

I grabbed his arm lightly, sending a slight smile towards him. “I am alright Di; I think the contractions have finally started.”

“Luna Queen, I see we are about to have our little pup. Let’s get you changed out of those wet clothes and into the fluffy maternity robe we have prepared. I didn’t think we would meet the little Alpha this soon but I am happy to be here for you. The doctor will be in any minute.” The nurse said, smiling from ear to ear. Seems she is excited for our birth.

“Di, please step out a minute. Don’t let the doctor in until I am changed.” I spoke softly. Dimitri hesitated for a minute before nodding in agreement.

‘I am not sure why, but I only want who we can trust in the room for the birth. Just a feeling I am having.’ I mind linked Di, as I stripped out of my wet clothes. The pants were giving me trouble, as I wished the wetness didn’t make them stick to me as much as they did.

‘Je suis d’accord avec toi, mon amour. Quelque chose semble clocher et nous devons être préparés.’ (I agree with you, my love. Something seems off and we need to be prepared.) Di responded. I knew he was speaking French so only I could understand, even if it was through mind link.

“Alright Luna Queen, you are all set. I will go get the doctor now.” The nurse stated as she bounced out of the room joyfully. Man, she was too excited for me, these pains make me want to teleport her into a sea of water.

‘We are still their Luna, let’s try not to take out the labor on them.’ Angel said in warning.

‘I will help with some of the pain. Block it until I can’t anymore.’ Rain said, before blocking herself from us. I wish she didn’t, but I know she does that so none of the pain leaks back onto us. I took a seat in the bed, watching my mate walk in as if he was kept away from me for years. Within seconds he was at my side, holding my hand, as he placed a k**s on my forehead. The stroking of my hair, slowly making me drift in and out. This man is going to make me fall asleep if he continues.

“How is your pain, my love?” Dimitri whispered soothingly in my ear.

“I wouldn’t mind knowing the same, Luna Queen. Also, Doctor Lilian would like to know if she can be present.” The doctor said as he walked through the door, making me jump slightly.

“NO.” Dimitri stated instantly, his Alpha command leaking into his words. “Get Ty in here for Luna and no one else will be assisting you with the birth.”

“Yes, Alpha. Let me just check the Luna really quick. What is your pain level?” The doctor asked as he got in between my legs.

“Rain is taking the pain right now, so I don’t feel the contractions right now. My water did break though.” I said softly, slightly falling asleep by Di’s soothing strokes.

“Seems the Luna is nine centimeters. The pup shall be here within the hour.” The doctor said as he threw away his glove. “I will go get Sir Ty and let my staff know I will not be needing any help. The nurse who was in here earlier will be by in a few minutes with all the supplies we will need for the delivery and pup.”

The doctor left the room, within minutes Ty was entering with the supplies the nurse was supposed to arrive with. “Does anyone want to inform me on why we are not letting anyone in?”

I reached over, touching his arm. I sent the feelings of uncertainty, danger and suspicion to him. I sent the image of the pup being harmed and how the person or thing was blurred. Within seconds, he looked at me in worry.

‘I can’t hold anymore of the pain Sky. You and Angel will have to take it from here. I need to rest.’ Rain said before releasing the pain to us. I felt Rain go into a peaceful sleep, as I held the pain away from her. I breathed raggedly, as I prayed for the pain to subside soon. Oh Goddess, how did Rain deal with this for so long?

“You have this Sky, just breath.” Ty said as he squeezed my hand in reassurance. I felt Dimitri send loving vibes as he took a part of the pain.

“Thank…. you.” I sighed as the contraction faded.

Our pup was coming.
