Sleet Kitten: Book One of the Sleet Series -
Sleet Kitten: Epilogue 2
The sound in the arena is deafening. The crowd is literally going wild.
Katelyn and Jackson are twined in a heart-stopping kiss, while their mothers are hugging each other and crying. Alex is patting his dad on the back, and Katelyn’s uncles are celebrating as if they just won the jackpot. All of the players, from both teams, are banging their sticks against the boards. And I can see my dad beaming from the bench.
The organist starts to play the unmistakable beat of “Candyman,” and the fans stomp their feet in turn. The world is celebrating around them, but Jackson and Katelyn only have eyes for each other. They have the sort of love that can survive anything. The sort of love that the world only gives out every once in a while.
The sort of love that I want.
