Roma’s POV

Do you know that statement where someone says that they are hanging by a thread?

That was what was happening to me right now as Aria looked at me, all her emotions vivid on her face.

Pure unadulterated l**t and something else. Something that I didn’t think I could say out loud because I didn’t believe I was worthy of it.

I knew that I had been avoiding going too far with her and it was for many good reasons.

I knew that I could not bargain for more right now so I nodded, knowing that I would ask for him to stay the entire night the next time.

Releasing him, I watched as he discarded the condom and walked back to enter the bed with me and as he pulled me in for a hug, it felt right.

Everything felt alright.
