When Kate heard the click from the door behind, she immediately knew Leo had some evil plan in his mind.

Anxiously, Kate sat on the sofa with her hands clasped together.

Leo smiled gently at her, "Kate, about our project, we still have a lot of details to hammer down, don't you think so?"

Kate nodded her head and smiled. "Yeah, we do have a lot to cover before the partnership can officially begin. Oh, I also need to tell you this. My directors said this partnership is only worth our consideration if we receive 5 more percent of your company's profits as commission."

"You want 5 more percent of our profits?"

Leo contemplated for a while and chuckled, "If we give you 5 more percent of our profits, then we won't gain much from it. Can you help me inform your directors that we can only increase it by 2 percent at most?"

Kate replied apologetically, "Well, there's nothing I can do if that is what the director wants. It is true that your company has a lot of resources, but do remember this, there are a lot of companies out there competing for a partnership with us too."

"Alright, then. We shall conform to your company's wishes since our companies have been working together for quite some time and any changes to that might be disrupting for the both of us."

Leo let out a bitter smile. "Okay then, shall we proceed to the details of this partnership?"

Kate finally let out a breath of relief as Leo didn't seem to have any other personal agendas. She took out her documents and started to discuss business matters with Leo.

The two of them were very engaged in the discussion as they made notes on the papers from time to time!

After an hour, Leo left the table to get the two of them some water. Once he was at the coffee table, he turned his head to check on Kate. When he saw her fully occupied with her work, there was a malicious glow in his

eyes.

Leo quickly took out a white pill and dropped it into the glass of water. He swirled the glass a bit and the pill instantly dissolved. The drugged water didn't look any different from the ordinary water.

Leo brought back two glasses of water to the table. He placed the glass of water he had just spiked in front of Kate and offered, "Kate, have some water before we continue."

Kate did not even bat an eye when she took one big sip from the glass in front of her and continued her work. She had completely let her guard down.

The two of them went on with the discussion about the project just as before.

Leo was secretly jumping in delight when Kate gulped down the water. His eyes were full of lust and anticipation.

After all, Kate was a true beauty.

Just her presence was enough to take Leo's breath away.

Leo's wife, whom he had married because of his family's arrangements, was a haggard looking woman. She was a far cry from the mesmerizing Kate who now sat just a meter across from him. That was the reason why Leo lusted for Kate.

Undeniably, Kate was a pretty woman.

Now, with Kate in the same room as him, his desire for her grew stronger by the minute.

Leo was always depressed about how his life had turned out; chained to a lackluster hag who nagged at him every day. With his wife, Leo felt his libido was that of a seventy-year-old man. Leo had a feeling that today was his lucky day.

Once he had plowed the fields, Kate would have to obey him like a dog to its owner.

The only chance for Leo to get his haggard wife out of his life was by becoming part of the Sutton family.

"Kate, why don't you drink some more water before we continue? You look thirsty." Leo pretended to care for Kate.

Kate was indeed a bit thirsty after all the talking: Unquestioningly, she took two more sips from the glass.

"Leo, go through this document. If everything is alright, just sign at the bottom." Kate put down the pen in her hands and passed the document she had been working on to Leo. "Okay." Leo nodded his head and pretended to study the document carefully.

As Leo's eyes scanned the lines on the paper, a countdown timer was ticking loudly in his head. He was eagerly waiting for the aphrodisiac Kate had taken to take effect. While Leo was reading the document, Kate finished her glass of water and waited in silence.

About half an hour passed when Kate suddenly felt her body burning.
