Chapter 114 Interception

Staring at Kaitlin's running away, Lydia was astonished for the moment. Her pupils shrank. She seemed to have thought of something and then hastened to run off.

Kaitlin did not even have time to pack her things, let alone ask for leave. She directly ran out of the school gate and stopped a car to go home.

Upon seeing Kaitlin come home all of a sudden, Lindsay felt quite confused. "Kaitlin, I thought you had classes this afternoon Why are you back? I'll play cards with my friends later."

Kaitlin looked at Lindsay in a panic, "Mom! What should I do? The police are coming to arrest me!"

"What are you talking about? Why would the police arrest you?" Lindsay was confused.

However, when she saw her daughter's flustered look, she instantly understood "What have you done this time?"

"Mom! It must be that woman! It must be that ***She called the police again!" Kaitlin's voice trembled.

Lindsay quickly calmed her daughter down and asked a few more times. Only then did Kaitlin say tremblingly, "Mother! You know, not

long ago, a teacher in our school stole someone's thesis and published it online. Then, the teacher was expelled. Yesterday, she kidnapped Ainsley and almost got the latter killed!"

"What does this have to do with you? Even if there's anyone to be arrested, it should be that teacher."

Kaitlin was about to cry. "Mom! You still don't understand. I stole the thesis first and then gave it to the teacher And it was me who told her to kidnap Ainsley, but I did it in a fit of temper! Why does Manuel always take her side?"

Her tears flowed down. "Mom, what should I do? The police had just gone to school. They will come here for me soon!"

Lindsay pretended to be calm and thought for a while. "Grab your passport and visa. You'll immediately go abroad! Your uncle is in Canada He will take care of you."

Kaitlin immediately returned to her room and found her passport and visa without hearing what Lindsay had said. She got her visa not too long ago Originally, she meant to travel with a friend Unexpectedly, it would actually come in handy now.

She carried a suitcase downstairs. Lindsay had already asked the driver to get the car ready. She got into the car directly and the car drove in the direction of the airport.

Lindsay watched the car disappear on the main road in a daze. She slumped onto the sofa as if she had lost her strength. Before she could regain her senses, the phone rang all of a sudden.

It was from Cason. Lindsay took a deep breath and picked up the phone. "Cason, what's the matter?"

"Is Kaitlin home?" The voice on the other side of the call was serious and urgent.

"No." Lindsay laughed dryly. "Shouldn't she be in class?"

"Mom, Kaitlin really doesn't go home? Where are you now?"

"No, she doesn't. I'm at home right now. I even have two friends over to play cards." Lindsay tried to be calm.

"She is in big trouble this time. She will be sentenced."

Lindsay got nervous. "Cason, tell me what exactly happened."

"She stole Ainsley's thesis and coerced a teacher to kidnap Ainsley. Ainsley is in hospital now. The teacher suddenly called the police and turned herself in. Now, everyone is looking for Kaitlin!" "Then, then Kaitlin..." Lindsay's forehead was covered in sweat.

Cason sighed and said, "Mom, if she really can escape... Well, I've got to go."

After hanging up the phone, Cason pinched the middle of his eyebrows. According to Lindsay's reaction just now, Kaitlin had

definitely gone back. Now, she might have gone to the airport.

This was his younger sister. Of course, he did not want anything to happen to her.

On the highway, a dark black Maybach drove fast regardless of the speed limit signs and the speed measurement intervals. The driver stepped on the accelerator hard. He could feel that he was about to lose control of the steering wheel.

Yet, Kaitlin still felt that it was not fast enough. After she got in the car, she immediately booked a flight ticket which would set off in half an hour. As long as she immediately arrived, she could safely go to Canada

However, just as she was about to see the airport clearly, a police motorcycle came out from the side of the car. The sound of a siren came "Stop the car! Stop the car!"

"Don't stop!" Kaitlin yelled. The driver did not dare disobey her order. He stepped on the accelerator hard and the car dashed forward

once more.

Just as she was still in shock, a few police motorcycles rushed out from both sides. A few police cars also ran from behind, and the sound of sirens resounded through the entire highway. Kaitlin's heart was violently beating. She looked out of the window in fear.

"What should we do, Ms. Baldry?" the driver asked in a flurry.

"What do you ask? Continue driving! Speed up!" With her eyes bloodshot, she had lost all her rationality.

The police motorcycles drove in front of the Maybach, trying to stop the car.

"Stop the car. Stop the car..."

A police car approached the Maybach, and the driver did not dare to speed up any further. "Ms. Baldry, I can't accelerate the car anymore!"

Kaitlin fiercely smashed her seat a few times. She looked at her car being surrounded in despair. She seemed to lose heart. "Stop the car."

The Maybach slowly stopped at the side of the road, and the police cars directly drove near it. "Get out!"

Kaitlin's eyes were slightly red. She slowly placed her hand on the door handle and opened the door.

She knew that the moment she stepped out, she was done.

In the hospital, Ainsley was on a drip. Manuel walked in after answering the call. "Kaitlin has been caught. The police must have been seen by her when they went to the school. They caught her on the way to the airport."

Ainsley sneered. It really was Kaitlin's style. Whenever something happened, she would run away. She raised her head and looked at the IV drip. It was about to end. "My fever has also gone down. I want to be discharged later."

"No way." Manuel frowned. He thought of what happened yesterday. Yesterday, Ainsley went to the deserted house after her fever went down. However, she got a fever again later on.

"I am really fine. Ainsley insisted on leaving.

"Sure. Then, I'll stay at your house today," Manuel said with a cold face.

"That's not necessary. Only you and I stay at my place..."

"Are you afraid? There are so many rumors about us. Isn't it a little late to be afraid now?" Manuel raised his eyebrows.

After the drip was over, Ainsley still went home. Although Manuel had brought her a coat, she still felt very cold

The cold wind blew. She tightened her clothes and turned back to look at Manuel.

Manuel sat in the car and looked at her gently. The light of the car was switched to faint mode. He had his back facing the light.

The car window rolled down and she asked, "Aren't you going up with me?"

She was actually looking forward to it. Even her cheeks were still hot.

Manuel chuckled and got out of the car. "You can't bear to part from me?"

Ainsley turned around and left in embarrassment. "Whatever."

As she walked, she was annoyed about what she had just done.

Why did she become so pretentious when she got sick? She was acting like a spoiled girl in front of Manuel just now.

That was not her style!
