Chapter 365

The man sighed.

“Luckily, I sent someone to watch you, or you'll be ruined tonight.”

The woman in his arms began shaking violently upon hearing his words.

“D*mn it!”

Sylvester slapped himself in the face. “I shouldn't have said that. Don't be afraid. They're not comingback ever again.”

Rainie started bawling her eyes out in Sylvester's arms. Sylvester did not say anything else, for heknew how traumatic it would be for someone to experience something like that, so he allowed thewoman to vent her emotions.

After bringing Rainie out of the tunnel, he instructed his men, “Beat those two b*stards to a pulp andask them who sent them. I want to know who dares to touch my woman.”

“Yes, sir.”

Then, Sylvester carried Rainie back to the parking lot.

Before they had walked far, Rainie whispered, “It must be Rose. It must be her. She hates me forsnatching the Best Actress award and a role from her. She must've wanted to ruin my reputation. That'swhy she ordered those two men to attack me.”

Sylvester arched his brows as anger glimmered in his eyes.

She drugged Rainie once, and now she even sent those men to ambush her. Fine! I've got many waysto torture her.

“Don't worry. I'll never let her off the hook.”

After staying in the car for twenty minutes, a bodyguard in black paced over and knocked on thewindow.

“Mr. Hollett, they said it's Rose who wanted to teach Ms. Yeanisky a lesson.”

Sylvester looked at Rainie, who was still trembling in fear beside him. He hesitated momentarily andgot out of the car to talk to the bodyguard.

After the two of them walked further away from the car, Sylvester said, “Then they must know whereRose is hiding now.”

“Yes. They do. She's in a hotel in the east side of the city.”

“Good. Since she sent two men to violate Rainie, I'll send her twenty. Make sure they treat her well. After that, make sure to publicize this matter and let everyone know about her excellent performance.”

“Yes, sir.”

After giving the order, Sylvester went back into the car.

“Sylvester... could you send me to Angie's?”

Angie was Rainie's manager, so it should be safe for Rainie to go to her, but Sylvester was still worried.

“But your ankle's hurt. How about you go over to my place?”

Rainie wanted to turn down his offer, but when she saw how concerned Sylvester was, she felt assuredand changed her mind. “All right, then. Thanks.”

“Don't mention it.”

Sylvester was more than happy to have her at his place.

Meanwhile, the internet was taken by storm after someone claimed that Artemis was about to hold apress conference to officially announce his relationship with Zoey, the daughter of the Shurmer family.

At first, everyone was talking about Artemis' scandal with his sister-in-law, but when news about thepress conference spread, the center of public attention changed.

Numerous comments emerged on the internet.

Whoa! Did he cut ties with Bailey?

I thought Armetis would give up his reputation for her, but in the end, he's turning his back on her.

Well, all men are the same. They're worse than animals.

Poor Bailey. She got ditched just like that.

I'm looking forward to the press conference. I wonder how Artemis will publicize his relationship withZoey.

Over at Artemis' mansion, Bailey was staring at the documents in front of her with a frown. Before long, she looked up at Artemis. “What is all this?”

Artemis looked at her and explained, “Your mother and Zoey's mother gave birth at the same time atthe same hospital. You're smart, Bay, so I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say.”

Crash!

Amidst her shock, Bailey accidentally swept a cup off the table, and the sound made her jump to herfeet.

“I-I'm sorry. I didn't do it on purpose.”

Artemis reached out and hugged her. “Bay, I know it's hard for you to accept this, but we must face it.Everyone has parents, so we should at least know where our roots are.”

Bailey began shivering in Artemis' arms.

Although she already knew she was not one of the Jefferson family, it did not mean she was ready tomeet her birth parents.

“I understand, Artemis, but...”

“There's no rush. Take your time to think. Just let me know when you've made up your mind. I'll face itwith you.”

Bailey pursed her lips in silence. “Okay,” she then muttered with difficulty.

Meanwhile, at the Jefferson residence, Beatrice was standing at the living room door, craning her neckas if she was waiting for someone.

After some time, a car slowly pulled up in front of the residence. As soon as the car came to a halt atthe doorstep, Beatrice rushed over immediately.

The car door opened, and Zoey came out.

Beatrice grabbed Zoey's arm when she saw the younger woman. “Where's Ronni? I thought you saidyou had saved her?” she asked anxiously.

Zoey looked back at her car and replied softly, “I gave that beggar some money, and he agreed tobreak off the marriage with Rhonda. I've already sent someone to handle the divorce procedures atCity Hall, so she's free now. But, she might not be in her right mind now. The man ravaged her.”

Beatrice shuddered at the news. Subsequently, she walked past Zoey toward the car and opened thedoor.
