Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 123 Stop It
"Yes, I got it." What Frederick actually wanted to tell her was that she and Charles came from two different worlds. That being said, he wanted her to stay away from him. She would do what he said, even if he didn't remind her!
Doris remained speechless, her lower lip tightly clenched out of frustration.
Even a person such as herself, who was not as smart as Nancy, would understand what he meant. Even more so, Nancy would definitely know what was behind his words.
'How could you say you belong to the elite rich families? You are just too absorbed on your self-delusions of grandeur!' Doris thought angrily.
Nancy left without looking back.
On their way back, Ethan pointed out to Nancy, "Do you now see the harsh reality of life, Nancy? This is how the so-called rich families are. Feelings and love are nonexistent. Only high status and self-interests are the most important things in this circle."
"Rich families are always condescending towards the people they consider below them!" Doris snorted with contempt.
"Let's not talk about them anymore. Let's just focus on work instead!"
From today onwards, Nancy would consider her time with the rich families as just a dream. Now that she had woken up from her dream, she would stop thinking about it.
She would let bygones be bygones. Only then would she be able to return to her ordinary life.
She belonged to a simple and down-to-earth life.
Out of a professional standpoint, Ethan had much to add to the discussion. Doris, however, had no intention of continuing with this conversation because she was not a surgical doctor. She was too embarrassed to talk about her major in medicine in the presence of Ethan!
It was way too inappropriate and embarrassing!
Thus, she kept her silence throughout the ride.
Her silence persisted not only during the ride.
Doris' melancholy lasted throughout the day and she felt depressed!
The more she thought about the broken engagement between Nancy and Charles, the more depressed and regretful she felt.
Had the reason of their separation something to do with her negligence?
The more she thought about it, the more resentful and guilty she felt.
Come nightfall, she went to the bar alone with nothing but her bag.
Oftentimes, she would do such things on her own so as not to cause trouble to anyone.
She ordered her regular cocktail drink and sipped it slowly.
Occasionally, she would take a glimpse at the dance floor and wink at some handsome men.
After several glasses, she got drunk and her sight became blurred.
Some men eyed her and were enchanted by her looks.
"Hey, what's a woman like you doing here by yourself? Are you lonely?" A man sat beside her to strike a conversation and ordered a glass of whisky for himself. "Yes, you hit the nail. I am lonely," Doris answered with a heavy heart.
"How about I accompany you tonight?"
"Haha. Do you need money?" Doris asked sarcastically with a wry smile.
The man smiled seductively. "For the sake of your beauty, it'll be my treat. I won't ask you for money."
"Haha, okay. Since you are also very handsome, I won't ask you for money, either," Doris retorted. "Your place, or my place?" she asked as she got off the seat.
"I got a room here. Should we go there instead?" he asked with an impish smile.
"Okay!" Deal!" Doris drank her last mouthful of cocktail, arrogantly showing off. Then, she put her hands on the man's shoulder and said in a flirtatious voice, "Let's go to your room." Together, they went upstairs, shoulder to shoulder.
Coincidentally, Charles was there and saw her with the man.
He was in a bad mood today, so he asked Jay out to go to a bar to drown his sorrows.
By then, he was already drunk and could not focus on what he saw. He was seeing multiple shadows.
At first, he couldn't believe the sight before him. He rubbed his eyes, but he could tell that it was really Doris. However, he didn't recognize the man she was with.
Bewildered, Charles went back and said to Jay, "Jay, I...
I saw Doris."
Unaware of what Charles just saw a while ago. Jay was unperturbed and casually said, "Everyone is upset nowadays. It's normal for Doris to accompany Nancy to have a bit of relaxation. Why don't you ask them to come over? You can't avoid her for the rest of your life. Will you really end everything with her?"
"She isn't here with Nancy. Doris is alone. She is with a man I don't recognize!" said Charles incoherently, his speech slurred because he had drunk too much wine.
Jay panicked and suddenly stood up. He walked out of the room in search of Doris.
"Doris, stop!"
Still in a drunken stupor, Doris turned around. To her surprise, she found Jay standing there with murderous intent on his face.
"Do you know him?" said the man while frowning, displeased by the interruption. His name was Stoney Ji.
"No, I don't know him! Let's go," said Doris.
"How dare you say you don't know me?" Jay furiously shouted. He rushed to the man and punched him in the nose, causing it to bleed.
"Who are you? Did I do something to make you so angry?" Stunned by Jay's punch, Stoney Ji gave up and said, "Stop, stop hitting me. You can have this woman if you want!"
"She is my woman. Why would I need your permission to give her to me?" As soon as he uttered those words, Jay threw Stoney Ji another punch.
By then, his face was already covered with blood.
"Well, what kind of a fool are you? You are so silly! Why don't you fight back when he hit you? Are you a coward? You are about 190 centimeters, but look at you. How could a tall man like you have no brain at all?" Doris whined.
"Isn't he.. Isn't he Jay Fang?" Stoney Ji asked confusedly while covering his bloody nose.
"Yes, that's him," Doris retorted agitatedly.
To her surprise, the man ran away with his nose on his hand after hearing what she said. It looked as if he was chased by the devil. "Gee, you useless scum!" How could there be such a coward?
"Well done, Doris. How could you bring yourself to hang out with a random man for no reason?" Jay said, grinding his teeth in frustration. "You hang out with other women, too, don't you? So why can't I do the same?" Doris responded in a harsh voice.
"It's different. I'm a man!" emphasized Jay.
"There is now equality between men and women. You should be aware of that!" Doris argued loudly.
Jay felt that he would not win an argument against Doris, seeing how drunk she was. He gave up and said, "Let's just go home now, Doris."
"Who are you to me? Why should I listen to what you say? I'm upset. I want to drink more!" To make matters worse, Doris added, further aggravating Jay's anger, "I want to play with men!"
Jay, of course, would not let that last sentence pass and gave in to her provocation!
His face suddenly turned red, his fury emanating from his body.
He was definitely infuriated all over.
Without saying anything, he picked Doris up and walked out of the bar.
Before leaving, he shouted, "Charles, I have to leave now. I'll call your bodyguard and ask him to pick you up. II
Charles only frowned but didn't bother to acknowledge what he said, all the while leaning against the sofa.
Left alone by himself, his heart ached all the more and he couldn't replace any strength to speak. Meanwhile, Jay was driving Doris home.
On the way to her apartment, she cursed, "All rich men are born to be assholes!"
"Are you saying a man without money is better?" Jay couldn't help but snap back at her.
"No, let me rephrase that. All men in the whole world are assholes!" Doris cursed back.
"Then why did you choose to be a doctor in the andrology department? You should quit your job. Those bastards deserve to be sick!" At the thought of how many men she came into contact with because of he profession, Jay felt depressed.
"No, bad men have more money to spend and I will earn my living from them, haha!" Right after she said that, she leaned against the seat and fell asleep.
Jay planned to drop Doris off at her apartment and leave as soon as they arrived. He put her down and prepared to leave.
But to his surprise, the woman put her arms around his neck and murmured seductively in a low voice, "Jay, can you please stay with me tonight? I don't feel well!"
Jay sighed and thought, 'Oh well, even I don't feel good
today.'
He gave in to her plea and said, "Okay, I'll stay with you tonight."
That night, Doris acted like an abandoned child and huddled in Jay's arms, relishing his warmth.
Seeing her like befuddled like this, Jay didn't have the heart to do anything in her state.
He allowed her to scratch his body shamelessly with her little paws without giving in to his urges.
He could only say, "Stop it, be a good girl and don't be naughty!"
