Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 185 Finish That Painting

Charles couldn't stand the conversation anymore, so he immediately stood up and walked towards them.

"What? I'm old, huh?"

Upon hearing his baritone voice, the three women suddenly turned their heads at him.

"Mr. Fu, we just said you're older than Nancy," Kathy replied demurely. She lowered her head while a shy smile escaped her lips.

"Yes, I'm a little older than her, but an old man knows howto love his wife more, right?" he replied with utmost confidence. Then, he loaded the shopping bags into the car and muttered, "Honey, have I bought all the things you asked me to buy?"

It was not just his eyes that were gently staring at Nancy, but even his soft voice almost melted into their ears.

He seemed to be really fitting into the role of a husband. And frankly, he was doing a very good job at it.

The man was beaming with so much happiness and contentment, as evidenced by the glow on his face.

At the same time, Nancy-who felt shy in front of the two women-pretended to take a peek in the bags and answered, "You've bought all of them. We can go now.

I'll see you at the reunion, guys. Bye!" With a smile, she waved at Kathy and Tina after putting the bags away.

"Ah yeah! We'll see you." Kathy waved her hand while still wearing that sly smile on her lips.

After Charles roared the engine to life and drove away, the two were left dumbfounded at the sudden encounter.

"What did Charles call Nancy just now?" Kathy asked; she still couldn't believe what he heard.

"Honey!" Tina replied with wide eyes. She, too, was too overwhelmed with Charles' presence. "Does he mean that he will marry Nancy?" Kathy's tone was coated with so much disbelief. "It's possible!" Even Tina cocked her head slightly in incredulity.

"Charles must have heard what I said. Do you think he will hate me?" Kathy asked in a nervous tone, even slapping her cheeks in an attempt to reprimand herself.

"Well...I'm not really sure, but judging from what he said, I'm guessing he heard you." Although Tine tried to make sense of the recent encounter, she was still in a trance from meeting Charles and hearing him address Nancy with an endearment.

In fact, she was still staring at the direction his car maneuvered-even though they had left minutes ago.

The woman was still star-struck by his well-sculpted face, which looked more handsome in person than on TV.

His perfect jawline, coupled with his imposing manner, would render all trivial at this point. No one could match up to him when it came to his physical attributes.

"Tina, what are you thinking about?!" Kathy yelled at her, upon seeing how her friend was lost in a daze.

"I'm thinking about Charles!" the latter answered with a dull tone.

"Fine. Keep thinking about him. I'll go!" Angry, Kathy marched and left her delusional friend, shaking her head as she walked out.

Meanwhile, Nancy looked dejected on the way home.

She didn't know why, but she just couldn't help reminiscing about the past.

Thinking about her mother, she recalled how she gave birth for money.

Enduring that nine months filled with pain and finally giving birth to a baby-it was all etched in her mind.

"Hey, we're here." Charles slightly nudged her after parking the car. Then with furrowed brows, he curiously asked, "What's wrong? You seemed to be distracted since we left the supermarket." "Oh, it's nothing. I'm fine." Half-smiling, Nancy wiped the tears that formed on the corners of her eyes.

But then, Charles didn't buy her excuse. He could clearly see through her.

"Nancy, what's wrong? You can tell me," he softly encouraged while opening the door and helping her get out.

"Nothing. There is sand in my eyes!" she answered perfunctorily, trying to avoid his gaze.

But even with her attempt to hide it, her actions gave away that she was lying to him.

Charles was so angry that he strode directly into the living room by himself with the shopping bags.

After aggressively taking off his coat, he threw himself on the sofa and rubbed his eyebrows. At first glance, one could easily tell that he was entirely exhausted and tired.

And Nancy, who didn't know how to approach him, went straight into the bathroom and washed her face.

Then slowly, she tiptoed on her way out, careful not to disturb him. "Come here!" Charles' voice rang out. And although his volume was quite low, his tone exuded with so much command. Left with no choice, Nancy had to turn around and walk towards him.

As soon as she stood in front of him, Charles quickly pulled her in his lap and wrapped her in his arms. "You really know how to break my heart, huh?" he asked, rubbing her hair gently. "When did I break your heart?" Although Nancy had an idea, she tried to pretend and instead asked a question.

But Charles snorted, and with a sly smile, he retorted, "You said you approached me for money. Wouldn't I be sad to hearthat?"

"You are unreasonable, aren't you?"

Upon hearing her reply, Charles was caught in disbelief. "I'm unreasonable? It's what you told me!"

"You don't love me at all, do you? Why did you have to show off in front of them?" Nancy lashed out those words while staring deeply at him. Then, after pausing for a while, she said, "I'm tired of it all, Charles. Aren't you?"

'What did she say? Tired? I had been tired for so long!

And it's you, Nancy, who made so exhausted,' Charles thought to himself.

Although he was flashing a smile, his heart ached at the thought of Nancy giving up on him.

In the latter's eyes, she knew he was keeping his contempt all to himself.

"Come on, Charles! We both know we're here just because of the deal. We just wanna get what we want," she sneered in response.

As those words pierced in his heart, Charles could do nothing but stare at her.

With a bitter smile, Nancy added, "Love is too ethereal for us!"

"Is it really just a deal for you?" Charles challenged her.

But Nancy would never back down and show him her true feelings. So, raising her brows, she confidently said, "Isn't it?"

Charles laughed wildly and nodded, "Of course! We have to do things together, so..."

He didn't finish his words and instead pressed her into the sofa. Then, slowly lowering his head, he planted soft kissed on the nose down to her lips. "What are you going to do, Charles?"

"Nancy, my desire tells me that I need you right now!" Hatred was painted all over his voice as he spat those words.

"I can't. I have to cook now." Summoning all her remaining strength, Nancy tried to push him away.

"Well, I can never get tired of you. You just smell so sweet, and perhaps you taste like that too." After saying that, he attacked her lips domineeringly.

Then, cold thin lips slid to Nancy's collarbone and bit it.

"Ah! Are you crazy?!" she cried out in pain, holding the part where his teeth dug deep.

The grimace on her face exhibited how painful it was. She took a deep breath.

"I'm not crazy. I just want to leave a mark on you. Nancy, you'd better remember not to talk about any deal. I love you, alright?! And that's all that matters! I don't care if you like my money and if you love me for my wealth. I don't care!"

Charles was almost sure that she was with him for his wealth, but her next words surprised him.

"I don't..." she softly muttered, eyes fixed somewhere else aside from his face. "What did you say?" he asked in disbelief, eyeing her with an intent gaze while waiting for her answer.

Nancy swallowed and said dryly, "Charles, I couldn't care less about your money, you should know that. Why are you still angry?"

"Good!" he exclaimed. Then, patting her cheek as if he was praising her, he expressed, "That's better! I want you to tell people, no matter who they are, that you love me and only me." "Okay!"

Although she agreed instantaneously, Nancy had cursed him thousands of times in her heart.

No man could be more so domineering than this guy in front of him!

Even the way he expressed his love was so dominant, leaving her with no choice but to be submissive.

But even with his arrogant side, he could really be petty at most times.

In fact, right now, Nancy felt wronged for no reason. And she only agreed to him just to protect her poor self-esteem.

'I should really be more careful of him from now on,' Nancy warned herself.

"After dinner, I want to see you draw," Charles suddenly uttered.

At the mention of drawing, Nancy's scalp automatically tingled.

'Damn it! Why couldn't he forget it?

How could I finish that painting?'

At this point, Nancy didn't know what to say. She wanted to come up with an excuse to escape from the situation.

She outlined the portrait according to her face, and if she were to continue it, Charles would most likely catch on the image! It was really her after all!
