Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 221 She Is In A Good Mood
Feeling triumphant, Nancy looked so calm as if nothing had happened.
Unlike her, Anna had a hard time holding back her anger. "Director Nancy, you are really good at acting. Just a while ago, you charged at me like a lunatic. Why are you pretending to be a good person now?" she shouted angrily.
"Well, Dr. Anna, it's not right for you to talk nonsense." Nancy looked at Jessie innocently. "Director Jessie, did I really attack her?"
As a scheming woman that she was, Jessie had a fair share of bad deeds to Nancy. But never did she go against her in public.
In fact, Jessie couldn't afford to offend Charles.
She thought Anna was smart, yet she bullied a nurse in broad daylight!
Now that she was in an awkward situation, of course she would not blame Nancy, nor would she defend Anna.
The corners of her mouth turned up into an awkward smile. "Oh, I suddenly remember that there is a patient in the ward who needs to change the dressing today. I'll go and have a look..." Well, the cunning Jessie escaped.
This task was usually done by the nurses. It was not the director's job anymore.
It was just an excuse to stay out of the conflict between Nancy and Anna.
"You!" Out of frustration, Anna stomped her feet. She couldn't do anything!
"Well, stop it. If this matter gets out, it will have a negative impact on the hospital." The security guard glanced at Anna and then looked at Nancy. "Director Nancy, we know you are a kind person. Well, if you don't have anything else to say, I'll leave now."
"Yes, thank you for coming here. Please go back to your station." Her smile only faded when the guard was gone.
She had never been involved in any conflict before. That was why it was hard to believe that she hit Anna.
Feeling dejected, Anna lowered her head and gritted her teeth.
"Dr. Anna, this issue ends here. Let's remain as colleagues who work together. Goodbye!" Then Nancy held Erin's hand. "Let's go. Don't let this affect you."
"Okay." Erin was still trembling in fear. She really didn't expect Nancy to fight for her.
And she was so fierce.
It was not until Nancy and Erin disappeared that Anna shouted, "Nancy, wait and see!"
She promised to herself that she would get back to Nancy.
"Thank you, Director Nancy!" said Erin.
"You're welcome. Remember, if Dr. Anna dares to bully you again, don't just bear it. If you can't beat her yourself, come to me," said Nancy. "Okay, I will keep that in mind."
Except for her hand, Nancy didn't have other injuries on her body.
She was even in a good mood.
So she called Charles this afternoon and said she would come with him to pick up the children.
When Nancy called, Charles was in the middle of a meeting. The call he received from Nancy made him smile blankly for a moment.
He was smiling until the senior executives were done reporting, which made them look at each other, and wonder what their boss was doing.
"Mr. Fu, I have finished my presentation. Do you think this project is feasible?" the senior manager who had just presented the project asked in a low voice.
In the past, even if Charles was pleased with the presentation, he would at most nod. As for smiling, it was impossible!
Today... What did that mean?
Passed? Or was the presentation very good?
Charles put down his pen and said something that surprised the board
"Ah, not bad. Let's talk about it tomorrow. The meeting is over."
The meeting was over?
Not bad?
Mr. Fu didn't give any comments?
To everyone's astonishment, he stood up and left.
They all remained seated for a while. It was so unreal, like a dream!
After a long time, someone finally rubbed his face and muttered, "Our CEO had left already. Why are we still sitting here? Let's go!"
Only then did everyone disperse.
At this time, Charles had already driven to the hospital.
Nancy was already waiting at the door when he arrived.
Anna stood by the window and watched her get in the car.
She clenched her fists in hatred. "Nancy, you will pay double for what you've done to me today."
As soon as she finished her words, she felt a sharp pain in her back. "Ouch..."
While she was trying to reach her aching back, Jessie came in.
"Ahem, Dr. Anna, what can I say? Why did you fight with Nancy? If you have any question, just ask. Why did you hit people?" Jessie walked to her and said, "Let me have a look." "Director Jessie, you really had a good time watching us back there. Nancy bullied me, yet you didn't help me! Instead, you even dared to stop me. Were you afraid that I would hurt Nancy?" Anna said crossly.
"Dr. Anna, how can you be so silly? Of course I'm on your side!" Jessie sighed, "But anyway, Nancy is the director of the Second Pediatric Department, and that was my office. If I helped you, people may replace us suspicious. Forget it. Let it go. I know you felt aggrieved, but if you really want to take revenge, you have to plan it well, okay?"
It had to be said that Jessie was insidious, but she was good at comforting at critical moments.
Anna didn't say anything to retort.
Jessie lifted up Anna's clothes and screamed, "Oh my
God! Why are there so many scratches?"
Her exaggerated tone made Anna hate Nancy more.
She clenched her fists and said, "Nancy, I'll make sure you will pay for this!"
Jessie gave a vicious smile. "Ah, Dr. Anna, you just came here. Nancy has been here for a long time, and she is a director now. So, let bygones be bygones. Don't mention it in the future. It's these scars that make me feel sorry for you. Hold on. I'll apply medicine to these."
Jessie took the disinfectant and sprayed it on Anna's back.
"Ah! It hurts!" It was indeed painful, and Anna's forehead was covered with cold sweat because of the pain.
"Alas! How cruel Nancy is!" Jessie continued to add fuel to the fire.
She felt satisfied when she hear Anna grinding her teeth again in annoyance.
At this time, Charles drove to the kindergarten with Nancy.
On the way, he saw some faint scratches on her arm.
"Nancy, you're a doctor. Why do you always get hurt?" There was never a day that Nancy didn't make him worried.
Nancy snickered, "Charles, let me tell you, I argued with Anna. Hahaha..." She laughed and continued, "No, it's not an argument, it's a catfight."
