How could Edward not be moved when Summer was willing to change for him? There was nothing else he could give her except all his love.

But every time he would see her face which was almost identical to Nancy's, Edward would still be inexplicably absent-minded.

He couldn't get rid of that emotion for a while.

Although Summer noticed it, she never voiced it out. Everyone had a beautiful past, didn't they?

When he came back to his senses, Edward said, "Thank you, Summer."

"What are you thanking me for? We are two people who will spend the rest of our lives together." A smile appeared on her face when she said these words.

Edward gently put his arm around Summer's shoulder.

As soon as he pressed his lips on hers, his phone suddenly rang. So, Edward pulled away and shrugged apologetically before taking out his phone.

When he saw Nancy's name on the screen, he turned around to leave but Summer gently grabbed his arm. "Edward, I know it's Nancy. We are a couple. You don't have to hide anything from me." With an awkward smile, Edward nodded. "Okay."

Then he answered the phone with an unnatural look on his face.

"Edward, do you remember our classmate from psychiatric department before who is very skillful? I forgot his name. Can you contact him? I have a patient here, and there is something wrong with her. I want to ask him to come to our hospital and check on my patient."

"Yes. His name is Rick. I'll give you his phone number, so you can contact him," said Edward.

To Nancy's delight, everything went well. "Thank you, Edward."

Her tone made Edward raise his eyebrows. "Don't be too polite with me."

"Well, okay. Send Rick's phone number to my WeChat and I'll contact him." Even though Edward couldn't see it, Nancy still flashed a playful smile.

Not everyone could see this side of her. She could only show her true colors in front of people she trusted the most. Everyone in the society had a layer of armor to protect themselves, right? "Okay."

Right after Edward ended the call, he forwarded Rick's number to Nancy.

All of a sudden, Summer had lost her confidence. "Edward, I think maybe we can come home a few days later. I think... I think we need more time to get along with each other. We need to know more about each other, and I need to prepare myself..."

Because the way Edward and Nancy talked on the phone just now made her jealous.

Looking at her jealous face, Edward couldn't help but smile.

Was he really happy with Summer?

At this moment, Summer became uncertain and confused.

She had no idea what to do.

Stroking her hair, Edward joked, "Silly woman, haven't you heard that an ugly bride isn't afraid to meet her parents-in-law?"

"Am I ugly?" Stunned, Summer touched her face. "Am I really ugly?"

However, Edward only stared at her now serious face.

"Edward, say something. Am I ugly?" Summer continued to ask.

Pretending to be serious, Edward nodded. "Yes, very ugly."

"You..." In an instant, Summer's mood shifted. "Edward, if I'm ugly, then Nancy is ugly as well! We look alike very much."

Hearing Nancy's name, Edward smiled. "Summer, you look so cute when you are jealous. I'm just kidding. Why are you so serious?"

"Bad guy, how dare you tease me? I'll beat you!" Then Summer began hitting his shoulders.

Grinning, Edward grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms.

"Summer, you hit me. How dare you hit me?" His teasing made Summer fall in love with him again.

As she looked at him, her heart began to beat faster. "Well, I'm just kidding."

Without removing his eyes on her, Edward gently kissed the back of her hand. "Alright. I'll give you more time. I'll take you back home when you feel well prepared." This made Summer breathe a sigh of relief. "What if the kids ask?"

After thinking for a while, Edward shrugged. "The kids will soon forget what I said. But if they ask, I will just make an excuse and say that I am busy. Don't worry." If he really loved this girl, then he should give her tenderness. He shouldn't be overbearing and aggressive.

It was his duty to think about her and put her first.

To express her gratitude, Summer kissed Edward on his cheek. "Thank you, Edward."

"Well, saying thank you is fine, but I can't wait to know how you can thank me in another way." His eyes were burning with passion as he stared at her.

It was easy to guess what was on his mind, so Summer immediately blushed. "Oh, we just had lunch. The doctors say I can't do strenuous exercise."

Slowly, Edward lowered his head to whisper on her ear. "Summer, didn't anyone tell you that I've studied medicine? We can't do strenuous exercise after lunch, but I can be careful." Without a warning, Edward bent down and carried her. "Hey, Edward, put me down!"

"I won't let you go." As he walked to the bedroom with Summer in his arms, Edward was laughing.

After receiving the message from Edward, Nancy immediately contacted Rick.

They had already met before, and Rick was a psychiatrist she admired. However, when they were abroad, the two of them didn't have much interaction.

As soon as Nancy told him the reason why she called him, Rick agreed without hesitation.

In her mind, she thought that once Rick came, Nana would recover soon.

After all, Nana's condition was due to the traumatizing events she had recently faced. It was easier to treat than a hereditary one.

What she didn't know was that Charles was monitoring her every move.

At this time, Charles was already in his office.

He was looking down at the document when Hiram came in.

"Sir, I found out that Mrs. Fu contacted a psychiatrist. It seems like she is going to treat Nana."

This news made Charles looked up in surprise. "What? Is Nancy going to treat Nana?"

It turned out that Nancy was not satisfied when he said he would personally investigate what had happened in the club that she even wanted to do it by herself.

"Yes, I heard from my subordinate today that she asked Mr. Wu for a phone number of a psychiatrist named Rick and then she called him. They have made an appointment to check on Nana, and I think it will be as soon as possible," Hiram said honestly.

Obviously, Charles didn't expect that Nancy wouldn't let go of the case. She was determined to replace out the truth.

Once Nana recovered completely, she could confess everything she knew.

"Sir, I think Mrs. Fu is right. The bad people deserve to be punished. Otherwise, they won't stop." Usually, Hiram didn't talk much in front of Charles. But Hiram could no longer stand Derrick's cruelty. "Besides, you once said that you want to punish evil people, didn't you?"
