Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 86 You Are My Woman

Charles remained silent all the while they were walking out of the ward.

Waiting for them outside was a nanny van that Jay drove.

After getting in, they immediately head straight to the Fu household.

Angelina had already known that Charles would be discharged from the hospital today, but she wasn't excited at all. So, instead of welcoming him with open arms, she chose not to welcome them by the door. "Grandma, we are back!" Bobby yelled excitingly, rushing in the living room while holding Charles' suit.

"I know you are back," Angelina uttered with an indifferent tone, but she could not remain calm when she saw Nancy and Nadia. "Charles, what is the meaning of this?! Why are they back with you?!" "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Fu. I thought that Charles might need someone to take care of him, so I brought Nancy here. She is a doctor, you know." Jay came in, wearing a polite smile while pushing Charles in the wheelchair.

"He just broke his bone. Can't I take care of him?" Angelina's voice was filled with contempt while her disdainful eyes bore at Nadia and Nancy. "Mom, just take care of yourself. I need Nancy to look after me." As impatience grew on him, Charles immediately refused his mother's help. "Daddy is right! We need mommy here!" echoed Bobby, wrapping himself on Nancy's arms as if preventing the latter from leaving.

Meanwhile, nervousness coated Nadia as she gazed at the matriarch of the family and saw how she was looking at her.

"Call her grandma," Charles suddenly whispered to her, noticing as how reluctant she was at that moment.

"Hello, Grandma!" Nadia said in a soft voice.

A look of disbelief flashed across the old woman's face as Nadia spoke. "Good! Great! Just great!" Angelina muttered, obviously enraged at how all of them were ganging up on her. She was eldest one around, and yet none of them were polite enough to listen.

"Auntie Angelina, when Charles recovers, Nadia and I will leave immediately! I promise!" Noticing as how the lady's brows aggressively furrowed, Nancy was quick to say something in a good temper. She wanted to ease whatever tension that was slowly building in the room.

"Come on! I've heard a lot of excuses like this from you. I've never had a wound on my forehead, and Charles never had a bone fractured before you showed up. Tell me, why are you still here?" The hint of disgust in Angelina's voice was obvious.

"Mom, stop nagging, or I will move out with my children. Would you really want that?" Charles threatened in a cold voice, his eyebrows knitted. He, too, was growing impatient at how stubbornly irrational his mother was.

"You want to abandon me?! Because of them?!" This time, Angelina couldn't refrain herself from lashing out. Her son's threat hit the last straw of her patience.

"No! I want to live with grandma. Grandma is the best," Bobby cried, pouting his lips. Seeing Angelina's flaring nostrils, widened sharp eyes, and arched brows, Nadia recalled how Flora would horribly look the same whenever she was mad.

And unlike before, Nadia knew exactly what to do in such situations. So, blinking her eyes, she approached the old woman and shook her arms gently. With a pitiful face hard to resist, she raised her head and intently eyed the lady.

For a while, Angelina was stunned, even almost jolting at the young girl's soft touch. But after a few moments passed, she felt less angry somehow. Perhaps Nadia's charms worked on the stern woman. "Girl, you are cuter than your mommy," the matriarch uttered with a soft tone.

"Grandma, mommy gave birth to me," the young girl replied, smiling. Then she continued and asked, "Grandma, why do you think my mom isn't cute? I can ask her to change!"

With such a soft and innocent voice interrogating the old lady, everyone suddenly turned to look at Angelina, who felt a little embarrassed at that question.

She found Nancy elegant and decent, quite remarkably different from other women if she was, to tell the truth. In fact, she could not seem to pick out any fault on her.

"Well, uh...well..." Cocking her head, Angelina struggled to gather the right words to say.

"It's because she thinks no woman is better than her. So, you can go back now, Jay. Thanks for driving," Charles uttered. Then, he eyed Nancy and said, "Please send me back to my room."

"Got it!" she replied with a sly smile, grabbing the back of the wheelchair. "Sister-in-law, aunt always talks like this. Don't take her words seriously. She will forget it later," Jay uttered in a low voice. "It's okay. I don't mind," Nancy reassured. After spending some time in this household, she had grown immune to the old woman's attitude. In fact, it didn't bother her at all anymore. "Dear babies, I have to go now. I'll treat you to a nice lunch one of these days!" Jay threw the kids a soft kiss.

"Kisses, Uncle Jay! Bye!" Nadia answered cutely, giggling at how silly Jay looked.

As for Bobby, he just kept silent with a straight face as Jay stormed out of the house.

After Jay left, Nancy immediately guided Charles upstairs to get some rest.

"Don't follow them, babies!" After being treated coldly and seeing that the kids were about to leave her alone, Angelina felt even more depressed. So, she called them back to keep her company. "Grandma, what's up?" Nadia asked politely, turning back.

"Come back here and sit with your grandma." Angelina waved her hand and tapped the cushion beside her.

So, Nadia grabbed Bobby's hand, and sweetly suggested, "Let's go and accompany Grandma."

"Okay," Bobby responded, shrugging his little shoulders. Then, the two immediately descended the stairs and ran towards their grandmother.

"Charles, I knew your mother wouldn't accept us. I didn't want to come here, but you insisted, and now look!" Even though Nancy claimed she didn't mind Angelina's treatment, she couldn't deny how frustrating it was to be in her position.

"I'm used to you cleaning my body these days. Even if I'm willing to have a nurse taking care of me, I doubt that you would agree to that." Wearing a smirk on his face, Charles reached out his fingertip seductively and curled it around her hair.

Every time Nancy wiped his body clean with a towel, he'd do this, and every time she'd get flustered by his touch.

At first, Nancy protested, but her complaints didn't work until she gradually got used to it.

"I have nothing else to do while you're cleaning me. Should I just stare at you?"

he playfully muttered before pushing a button on the wheelchair to approach the wine cabinet.

"You are my woman!" Then, he took out his goblet and poured himself a glass of red wine.

"Charles, please don't make trouble for me, all right? I don't deny that you are a good man, but your mother doesn't like me. Besides, I was already impregnated before, so I have no plans of marrying you." A trace of sadness flashed across her face as she stated those facts.

The last thing she said was a blatant lie, and it was more than painful to not admit it.

After that painful experience with Ethan, Nancy thought it was better not to fall in love ever again.

It was easier said than done because once love came knocking on her door, she knew she'd have no control over her heart.

And true enough, when she learned that Charles had an accident, Nancy almost felt as if her heart was breaking into pieces. It was something she had never felt in a man for a long time.

Was it possible that she liked Charles?

Or perhaps love him?

Nancy didn't dare to admit it, but her heart told her otherwise.

And even if she knew it herself, she'd never show it.

"I've thought about it!" Charles expressed before extending his arms to pull her closer to him.

As a result, Nancy lost her balance and ended up sitting in his lap.

"Charles! What are you doing?!" she screamed in a slight panic, holding the wheelchair's handrail to prevent her body from crushing his ribs.

"Are you hurt?" she asked in worry.

As she was about to stand up, Charles tightly wrapped his arms around her waist.

"In the hospital, you told Jay to be more caring and soft to Doris. I want to know when you will be softer to me."

A solemn whisper penetrated her ears, coupled with his breath against her skin. It was so electrifying that Nancy felt hands weaken against the rails.

This very moment felt exactly the same as five years ago, on that night.

That man?

As if what he just did was not enough, Charles came closer to her and whispered again, "Nancy..."

The way his baritone and an erotic voice called her name sent shivers down her spine.

This was torture to her womanhood as she was starting to feel something down there.

"Charles, please don't, please don't..." She attempted to stand up again, but she was imprisoned by his embrace. And although she thought of struggling, she was afraid of hurting him.

So instead of resisting, she just had to calm herself and let it go.

Meanwhile in S Country...

Frederic walked along the path in the garden with his cane supporting his every step.

Along with him was Hardy, who walked with both of his hands clasped on his back.

"When do you plan to go back?" asked Frederic as he stopped and glanced at the blossoming plants in the garden.

"Angelina is insane, and that house feels like hell to me. So why should I go back?" Hardy responded with brows tightly knitted and lips pressed into a thin line. Just merely thinking of that house and family wracked his nerves.
